Front desk women so rude the entire visit.
we were stuck in a handicap room for no apparent reason. This room did not have one drawer or a place to hang our clothes. 
It did not have a refrigerator or microwave. 
We were told we had to pay extra for a refrigerator... we said ok and asked for one to be delivered to the room, after all there is a big ugly empty cabinet in the room for a refrigerator. 
They did not bring a refrigerator until the next day after three calls repeatedly requesting one. However 1 minute after the refrigerator was delivered, the phone was ringing for us to come to the front desk to pay the fee to have a refrigerator.  We were told the did not have a cord long enough to reach to electrical outlet so instead of putting the refrigerator in refrigerator cabinet they put it by the bathroom door.
I called the front desk and requested to speak to the manager and was told she was busy and would call me back... she did not.
I requested an iron and iron board to iron the clothes I have no place to hang up....
I was rudely told to come to the front desk to get
 it, and no iron board was available .
Why do I need to come to the front desk at 11am? Isnt house keeping available...I guess not since none was provided. I had to go to the front desk for fresh towels and our room was not cleaned while we we were there.
There are repairs needed in the bathroom as well...Bottom line poor customer service, cheap 
on every level....

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL 

It is my belief that the six in the motel name should stand for creaky and icy for the room, tiny and lumpy for the bed, sloppy for the parking lot and poorly for the wi-fi. I booked a queen size bed which it was differently not and with constant noises plus poor air circulation kept me from warm to cold. If not for the snow storm I would have went elsewhere.

Substandard conditions 

It is an inexpensive, low budget motel and you get what you pay for.
As always at the Motel 6 it’s no breakfast included. But that’s the concept.
Anyhow you can have a cup of coffee for free.
The room was very simple but it was better than expected.
The area around the motel is not nice but the proximity to O’Hare Airport is valuable.
20 minutes driving to ORD.
The internet worked but it was slow.


You get what you pay for 

I stayed at Motel 6 Chicago - Elk Grove because my flight was canceled and I could only get the next flight to my destination the next day.
The staff at reception was very helpful with my check-in. The rooms were very nice, clean, had direct tv and over all I was satisfied with the room and the staff at Elk Grove. 
The area however was not the best, I did not run into any issues, I could walk to the White Castle across the road for supper, but the people at the Motel itself seemed a bit dodgy (yes I know I was one of the people there). There was one guy in the parking lot "working" on is car... underneath the dash... whom had tattoos all over his face which made me quite uneasy. I know this is outside of the control of Motel 6 but none the less. 
Motel 6 staff arranged a taxi for me in the morning to get back to the airport and were very helpful in assisting with this.

Very Good rooms

My stay at this Motel 6 exceeded my expectations once I arrived. The shuttle from the airport was a long wait due to traffic and weather. I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. My room was clean, comfortable king bed, modern decor, pleasant temperature and above all quiet. A shuttle service is provided to and from the airport. There are some fast food restaurants within walking distance for dinner and breakfast. An excellent value priced motel.
