We loved our stay at the Campbell House Inn! The staff were all so kind, and the space is beautiful. We enjoyed our complimentary glass of wine on the patio furniture out front on the lawn - what a nice treat! The inn is clearly in an older building but brings charm. The bed was comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep here. In the evening, we took advantage of the walking distance to a local brewery for a great dinner. The breakfast service in the morning at the inn was great (scones and fruit, juice, coffee, and a choice of entree - pancakes or eggs benedict on our day). I hope we find ourselves back in Eugene one day so we can stay here again! Loved it!

Charming Eugene Inn

This is a lovely hotel in a great location! Beautiful grounds where you can sip a glass of complimentary wine while enjoying the view. Comfortable beds and pillows. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room though you can get coffee and tea in the main house. Staff was very responsive - we had an issue with a squeaky door and they took care of it right away. 

Excellent stay in Eugene

Traveling thru oregon to visit our son in northern California.  Lucked out spending the night at the campbell house. Abbie was very helpful catching on our needs at arrival. Beds were great as was breakfast. Would recommend this place if your in the area. Much superior to a hotel.

Very disappointed!  After 5 hours of driving, it would have been nice to be greeted kindly.  We arrived  3:07pm.   No smile.  No wine.  No mention to return for wine.  Not notified  that the train may toot its horn at 1am and 2am.  No ear plugs offered.  So a very rough night with the noise and difficult time cooling our room.  The bed and pillows were ok.  The breakfast the next day was very good.  More smiles on the staff.  I have been in customer service all of my life and work hard for my money.  For the price, I get better service at brand hotels.

Poor customer service

     Not worth the price! There was no welcome from the young lady at the front desk when we stepped through the door, hot from dragging our suitcases from the train station. She made no mention of the beverages and fresh cookies available to guests (we found them by accident later that night). There was no mention of complimentary glass of wine in the evenings, as the website stated. There was no indication of where the breakfast would be. There was no mention of how to connect to wi-fi. There was no mention of enjoying the grounds where there were seats set out on the lawns. We discovered a much easier staircase to use by accident to get up to our room. 
     Room #10 (the Marjorie. #212 on the website) was sweltering hot when we stepped into it (Eugene was 95 degrees that day). The young lady said our A/C was connected to two other rooms - #10 and #11, and until one of them reached 70 degrees, the A/C in our room would not switch on. It NEVER switched on. It felt like it was at least 80 degrees in our room. The common hallway was ice cold from a vent in the ceiling there. So we kept our door propped open all night with a shoe, and the bathroom fan on as well, hoping to draw some of that cold air into the room. We slept with no blankets or sheets because it was so hot. There was thankfully a ceiling fan.
     There was an empty hardware packet and directions and a screw driver left on the bathroom counter from some installation that had been done there. That doesn't seem professional
     I could not find a hairdryer, and then noticed an end of something black on the wardrobe shelf, at least 6 1/2 feet above the floor. By standing on tip toe, I could just snag the end of it and drag it down.
     The wide angle pictures are deceptive - the room ("with sitting area") was very small.  There was no sitting area: just a desk with one chair. There was a fold up suitcase rack for one suitcase, but no where to put a second one. We put it on the floor, and stepped over it to get to the bathroom.
     There were some positives: the hot breakfast was fantastic- homemade, delicious and attractively presented, and the young woman who served us was very professional and cheerful and calm. The water pressure in the shower was great.  
     Summation: not worth the $202 we paid for our room. We would not stay there again. Ask if there is working A/C in the room you are thinking of booking! An orientation upon arrival would be nice (what the amenities are, and where they are located; stair locations, use of outdoors). Or at least a card in the room mentioning these things. 

Not worth the price

I'm not sure I even know where to start!  Just driving up into the driveway parking area I was immediately in awe, the architectural beauty of this historical home.  Only to be moved by the warmth and authentic welcome from Bell!  The wonderful complimentary wine and conversations at the fireplace at check-in was a welcomed gesture after a long day of driving.  I had a great night sleep in the Cogswell room and woke up to an amazing breakfast with juice, fruits and perfectly cooked eggs over a bed of vegetables and arugula salad.  Although I've done my best my words fall short of the beauty of the facility and the staff, this is a must see property and I highly recommend it for solo travel as well as family or especially romantic weekend!

A Must Stay at Historical Home!

Charming B&B with great grounds, friendly staff and a perfect location just a few easy blocks from the 5th Street Market. They provide a hearty  breakfast, too. It isn’t gourmet, but fine. There are trains, sometimes at night. It didn’t bother us especially. Our stay at Campbell House was a nice change from airbnbs; we felt pampered.

I planned a reunion/40th birthday girls trip here, and everything was perfect. The staff was amazing, and Brett went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The grounds were so well kept, and created a charming oasis in Eugene. Loved it, and would highly recommend.

Wonderful old bed & breakfast, The grounds are beautiful and have several sitting areas, the service was great, our room was very nice, we got a glass of wine for happy hour and breakfast was excellent! The staff was very accommodating for a late departure. The location could not be better - close to restaurants, shopping & the gorgeous river path.

This is such a lovely Inn. The rooms are delightfully decorated. It is almost like going back in time with modern conveniences! The entire staff is so kind and accommodating      They serve the most delicious breakfasts every morning. I can’t imagine staying anyplace else while visiting Eugene!
