My family have been yearly guests at this lovely motel for decades. We always get the double room because we come with family and it is the best two-room deal in town for such excellent accommodations. We always find the room sparkling clean and inviting. It’s location on the bluff is perfect for the sensation that you have left the big city behind and have finally arrived in cool redwood country. The owners/proprietors of the hotel are gracious and conscientious. My family says staying here is a tradition, but it has become such only because it is the best.

Best all around stay in North Coast

This is an older motel and the owners have done a wonderful job of updating the rooms.  The staff was friendly and very accomodating. The motel is perched on top a hill that has a wonderful view of the surrounding areas.  We will definitely be back. 

Super Clean & Great View

The hotel is elevated on a bluff next to the main drag. The views extend out to the bay but most of what you see is the commercial area. Still far better than other nearby places I considered. Being close to the main drag there are many dining options. I chose Los Pescadoros Mexican place a few blocks south if the hotel. I was concerned about staying on the main drag because of so many homeless folks hanging around. This hotel was away from that activity and was well kept and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great views

On a trip home I stopped at the Bayview Motel for the evening.  The motel is conveniently located off 101, provides a very spacious room, is clean and is well appointed with all the things that you'd need.  The thing I liked best was the glass mugs and glasses, instead of plastic you get at some other motels.  I also like that the room has a small frig with a freezer.  All in all, it's a place I'll likely stay again while on road trips.

Better than expected.

Very spacious room with two tables, two chairs, a couch, closet, coffee maker, and wet bar.  Overall was very clean.  Only negatives could be the softness and (short) length of the mattress but that could also be personal preference.  Parking was safe and secluded.  Would stay here again.

North Coast Tour

Large rooms with doors on either end (balcony off the back). Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable, pillows a bit flat for my liking but I just folded it over. Good water pressure in the shower. Room had a nice mini fridge with a separate freezer which was nice. The hotel is on top of a hill overlooking the bay. Two stories and no elevator. Plenty of parking, well lit lot. Internet was fast enough for streaming. My only complaints are the cfl light bulbs they had, when you turn the lights on at night they flicker when they turn on and its kind of creepy. I would have liked bedside tables with table lamps instead of the can lighting they had. This was a nice place to stay for the night.

Great Experience

The Bay view is very conveniently situated on the 101 and easy to find. The town center though is a drive away. Rooms are large and comfortable and the owners vet welcoming. Please note there is no breakfast so you have to go into town.

Good value no nonsense motel on the edge of town

Had an excellent overnight stay. Room was large and comfortable with an outside balcony. We were greeted by a pleasant member of staff who recommended we ate at the Lost Coast Brewery - a good choice. Would recommend this accommodation
