This was my first stop on an Alaskan adventure.  The lodge was clean and neat.  Staff were helpful and very nice.  Would have loved more time there but we were on a tight schedule the first day.  Recommend the lodge.

Nice esperience

Our 2 night stay here was part of a Princess Connoisseur Cruise/Tour. It is a huge lodge with an old time flavour eg an extensive lobby area with lots of comfy leather couches which were full of chatting people. We were in the biggest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in, Room 1200. We think it was a suite but reception staff were not able to provide me with room description. Clean, comfortable, very spacious. They staff were all super friendly, we loved our stroll in the colourful garden by the river and the wifi was good. We enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed our short stay

We spent 2 nights here. Arrived 10pm first night. We are on a Priness cruise tour,  10 land and 7 sea days. We thought the breakfasts were great. Lots of berries, hot food on the buffet were Ok . The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was on the river with a nice view. This was the start of our Cruise Tour. The hotel was OK , nothing great not thing bad. Our Princess excursions the next day Riverboat were great. We were not here for the Hotel but fir Alaska. 

 

Nice stay in Fairbanks 

This stay was part of a package with Princess Cruises. Great lodge, very comfortable but that was it. As the lodge is way out of town you are compelled to eat there. At this time we were told there was 15 - 45 minute wait at both restaurants. To our surprise the restaurant, when we were eventually seated, was half empty and it took us over an hour to receive our meals. I did question the supervisor who advised me that they only had half the kitchen staff on as other workers were waiting for their visas. Get your act together Princess, super organised with tours and buses etc but visitors don’t want to wait 90 minutes to eat at best, mediocre food.

Great place to stay, don’t eat there!

We checked in early for a Princess Land Tour.  After reading some scathing reviews about worn out carpeting/ badly in need of renovation, I found no such dire straits. While not new the facilities, common areas, our room in particular was well maintained, and clean.  Room service was responsive, and the Tour staff knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us thru local options and affecting some changes to our planned excursions. Food and drinks at the late evening pup was excellent. The breakfast buffet was average.

Well Cared-for facilities, Average dining

This was our last stop before going home and our third Princess lodge on the tour.  It was my least favorite.  The lobby is small, crowded with not enough seating.  The restaurant is dark with a menu that had grown tiresome and didn’t change.  The room was OK.   Front desk not very helpful.  Best part was the outside.  Deck was great.  You could have drinks, food or just enjoy the views.  The walk around the hotel was also really nice.  There are beautiful gardens.  The hotel is really not located close to anything but it was a short Uber ride to Museum of the North at University of Alaska Fairbanks which was very cool!

OK stay

This hotel is older, being kept up in the rustic style.  Rooms are basic although the establishment in huge!  Fitness center was being renovated. The outdoor deck with seating for lunch and dinner dining offered beautiful views.  Away from downtown,  isolated.

it's so worn down. its just mediocre.
It's dated you can tell by looking at it in the fixtures. It is clean.
The staff is not very friendly and they're not very helpful. The best staff in the facility were at the tour desk for Princess.
The minimal meal services were woeful with only two restaurants with very limited menus.
Trackers is good for fast food but the main dining room has such a limited menu. It's almost pitiful it is a beautiful room.
Its crazy that luxury hotel on a river in Alaska that They put us in a room overlooking the parking lot and a black tar roof. 
 unbelievable for a $10,000 tour that they give you such a junky room not overlooking the river. 
 I would never stay here again.

Late Post Aug  23’
This was actually one of my fav of the Princess lodges, not sure how many they own but of the 3 we visited this was a good spot, probably because it was near civilization and we weren’t giving all our money to them! The lodge itself is mirror to the others we went to… same souvenirs, food, snacks etc but clearly different excursions. Sad to know they close the fitness center for the season, why? Or… is that the same sign always? Don’t think I would book this particular lodge if we decided to visit Fairbanks again. Overall, the stay and accommodations were reasonable…


Mehhh... just ok. 

We stayed here for three nights as part of a cruise tour through princess cruises. It's an older lodge, but it was pretty clean. Beds were comfortable. I was very disappointed that there was no complimentary coffee at any time for the guests. You had to buy it in the gift shop. It was good coffee, but I've never stayed in a hotel that did not have complimentary coffee in the lobby pretty much at all times. The staff was very nice and helpful so no issues there. Unless you walk into town, which is about 2 miles away, or you take the shuttle that you have to pay for, or get an Uber or a taxi, your options for food are only right there at the hotel, and they are not cheap. An hourly hotel shuttle would have been extremely helpful. It's a nice place to stay, and the price per night was not bad, but unless you have your own car your options are very slim for getting around.
