We Loved every minute of our stay. Captain Lawrence Inn will from now on be our home away from home, where we can go and recharge. Everyone was so sweet and helpful, bed extremely comfortable, very clean and you can’t beat the Location. I would highly recommend it.

Weekend getaway

We stayed at the Captain Lawrence Inn for one night  in October as we started our exploration of Cape Cod. The Inn is very homey, formerly a whaling captain's home renovated to become a B&B. Our welcome upon arrival was warm. Downstairs there is a lounge/breakfast room with a fireplace and tea/coffee/fruit for snacks. 
Our corner room upstairs was clean and basic, not luxurious but equipped with everything we needed - queen size bed, small TV, small ensuite bathroom with basic shower. It felt a bit like staying at Grandma's house, comfy, clean and a bit old-fashioned. We had opening windows on both sides of the bedroom and a door out to a small landing with stairs down to the yard which enabled us to get a nice airy feeling to the room. The room was carpeted and if I have one suggestion for the owners it would be to update that carpet to freshen things up. 
Breakfast was very good, table service - to start, banana bread with orange sections, orange juice and coffee; then, a ham & cheese omelette, fried potatoes, toast & jam. Generous servings, nicely prepared. Cold cereal, yogurt, apples etc, and tea also on offer. 
The Inn is well-located close to beaches and the bike path as well as the Main Street of Falmouth. It is only a short drive to Woods Hole where we went for dinner.
No elevator, bedrooms one floor up from reception.
Lots of parking.

Comfortable B&B, good breakfast, well-located in Falmouth

We stayed two nights at this inn.  The bed was comfortable and everything was as we expected.  Due to an unusually early nor'easter, we didn't walk to or around the town much, but the inn appears to be close enough to comfortably walk to the downtown area.

I never say this, but the highlight of this place is the breakfast.  The innkeeper, Bob, is a formally trained chef and makes a waffle you will dream about.

Nice Comfortable Inn with an Outstanding Breakfast

My wife and i stayed here for 4 nights in September, our hosts were so helpful and Bob cooked the most delicious breakfasts.  Nothing was too much trouble, they would provide towels and chairs for the beach and advise on places to travel and eat.

Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the location was great to explore the Cape and ideally positioned for Falmouth....I would really recommend this guest house

Wonderful guest house and brilliant hosts

The accommodation is old but in a good state of repair, excellent furnishings and comfortable bed. The acting hosts Bob and Barbara were great hosts, with lots of helpful tips on the local area and getting around, including providing tickets for our trip to Martha’s Vineyard, and lovely varied breakfasts each day.
The main downside with our king room was the small bathroom, which we were aware of when booking as it was described as petit, which it was. The only other downside would be traffic noise, which you could hear in the room from about 6.30am, as our room was on the front of the house and the windows are single glazed. With these small caveats apart, we enjoyed our stay, the location is great, very handy to walk in to town for meals, and we would definitely stay here again if visiting Cape Cod.

Lovely old B&B

The Captain Tom Lawrence house is a beautiful facade of an Inn from the road.  Upon checking in we met the newly hired inn keeper who was nice but was very busy entertaining her family who was visiting.  Our room a double queen was spacious and the beds comfortable but the bathroom was a converted closet, so small that when you sat on the toilet you had to sit sideways as the leg room was not adequately equated in the placement of the toilet.  Most egregious was the fact that upon leaving daily on our excursions we would return to our bedroom door open.  The first day we discovered this and reported to the inn keeper that the maid hadn’t locked our door after cleaning, she acted surprised and said she would repair but the repair didn’t happen and day after day our room was open to the other guests of the house.  We later found out that that lock had been that way for years.  Lastly, our room came with a supposed gourmet breakfast.  Upon check in she asked about diet restrictions but those were never honored and snacks, and water through out the day were never replenished or changed.  A very rigid menu and no other options such as oatmeal or a choice of cereals or even coffee prior to breakfast or in the afternoon.  Basic would be the best description of our stay, the appointments, food and hospitality didn’t match the Captain Tom Lawrence’s facade.

Beautiful facade but basic reality.

This is a beautiful place; I stayed over 4th of July weekend.  The house is well maintained and clean. It’s vary well located, just a short walk to restaurants and activities. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, and the breakfast was superb! Lynne, the host, made my experience even more amazing. She really takes care of all the guests, and makes them feel right at home; always suggesting places to go, and sites to visit. Highly recommended.

Amazing place! Warm Host!

Lovely old home tastefully furnished. The owner was friendly and very helpful. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. I had a room with a street facing window but all was quiet at night. Breakfast delicious, This B&B is within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants of Falmouth.

Late 1800s B&B

The inn was beautiful, the location was very convenient to the ferry and downtown, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was amazing! Lynn, the interim inn-keeper was very accommodating and helpful. I have only stayed in one other inn (or bed and breakfast) and I did not enjoy it at all. I was not looking forward to my stay here and it has totally changed my outlook on staying at one in the future. Lynn was awesome, anything a traveler could have wanted was there, the other guests were very friendly and we ended up trading lots of information with them and stayed up talking in the common room until the early morning hours. Breakfast was amazing, not your average muffin and cereal. Lynn made some incredible breakfasts and there was always coffee and tea available. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Very comfortable, great location,fabulous inn-keeper

Very comfortable, and the people there were very accommodating. I loved it! Breakfast was great. I needed to drop my things off early, they showed me my room and gave me a key so I was all set when I came back after my workshop. I recommend it.
