Our first visit to Cape Cod was this past October and we were looking forward to exploring the Cape and Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. We chose to stay at Beachside as being members of Disney’s Vacation Club, we were able to exchange some points through Interval. 

Upon arrival, we were lightly disappointed to have been assigned a unit in the back parking lot. No views, other than that of guest’s vehicles. We resigned ourselves to the fact that we wouldn’t be hanging around the resort much and so made our peace with the worst unit in the inventory. 

The units are in dire need of refurbishment; their hay day has long past. Tired decor, basic facilities and lacking in many areas, this is one resort that we would not return to and would suggest others to consider other alternatives in the vicinity. 

If you were planning to sleep on the sofa bed, don’t. Sleeping on a bed of nails or the floor would be a more sensible option. Hoping the air conditioning will keep you cool at night? It will, but be prepared for a roar at a similar decibel level to a Boeing 747 on its final approach. 

The service was poor also. We had need to contact the maintenance department twice during our stay. One occasion was out of hours and so we called the emergency number provided to be met with an extremely unhelpful and uninterested individual who effectively told us to fix the plumbing issue ourselves. This was clearly a recurring issue with the plumbing since we encountered a number of challenges with hot water, lack of water pressure and blocked toilets throughout our stay. The other issue we had was with faulty locks which again, was an issue on-site stay took more than an appropriate period of time to repair causing us to miss out on a half day of our holiday. Additionally, the number of rodent traps visible within the unit was extremely off putting. 

The housekeeping, however, was exceptional and credit where credit is due, the unit was immaculately clean and was kept clean by a very friendly and professional team of housekeepers who really were a refreshing change to the mediocre staff we had dealt with.

We had hoped the resort was so close to a beautiful beach that we could forget about the accommodation. Unfortunately this is not the case; the beach is dirty and not a sandy white beach we had hoped for. 

Unfortunately this resort has absolutely nothing going for it, whatsoever. Alternative properties in the area look far more appealing and better located.

A resort which has seen better days.

No flexibility. We had to cancel our stay at Beachside Village Resort by VRI Americas for health reasons. We lost $400. We just asked to rebook our stay another time at their own convenience. It was denied according to the rules and restrictions of the property. I think that sometimes in life one has to be more flexible to accommodate guests with unexpected circumstances especially after COVID 19. I wish everyone the best  of luck when booking with this property!

No flexibility!

we rented the 2 bedroom house unit 12, private, 2 baths, fireplace, cozy and very clean.
bed was comfortable, slept well!  through sliding doors was a private patio to the outside.  kitchen fully stocked with utensils, pots/pans, coffee maker. 
beach is right across the street.  we walked up to the main street (about 1/2 mile) to shops and great restaurants. 
quick drive to Woods Hole parking/buses that take you to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard!
would definitely go back! 


great relaxing vacation

Went there  for my husband’s 88th birthday. Unit 11 is a nice room with a beautiful view. Unfortunately a pet had been in room. I am highly allergic to pet dander. I had a bad allergic reaction almost immediately. I couldn’t stay in the room.  Both the resort and the owner have been non-responsive. We are an elderly couple and very disappointed on how we were ignored. We are on a fixed budget so we couldn’t afford to stay somewhere else. We ended up just going home.

Rooms are directly across from the town beach, views are amazing and staff is very helpful. Recommend this property to small families with children, park your car for a few days and walk Falmouth. Eat in, grills on site or go downtown for lunch or dinner.

Family fun vacation

The beautiful view sitting on the porch looking at the ocean while sipping my coffee was so relaxing. The rooms were meticulously well maintained. The gas fireplace really added to the ambiance of the livingroom. 

Relaxing getaway

The beach view was spectacular. The unit was spacious and clean. The only drawback was the people in the upstairs unit. We could hear every step. They comped around until well after 2am. On the third day of our stay we purchased ear plugs So we could get some sleep. I would ask for an upstairs unit when you book a room.

Beachside resort is a great location for outdoor activities and within walking distance or very short drive to main st. center with shopping and food. The beach facilities are right across the street so convenient.

With the beach across the street and Falmouth center is a long but quite doable walk these are condos that are being rented out. There are quite a high number of rules to follow like no sand on the floor with the beach across the street! Other than the number of rules it was a great stay. 

Hard to Beat the Location

We stayed in a two bedroom unit for a week.  Nice location across the street from the beach.  Small kitchen space with not much room for food storage.  Within a few hours of checking in there were ants all over the refrigerator and counters.  We had to keep all food in the Refrigerator.  The grounds crew gave us ant traps to put around and shrugged that it is spring and the ants come. Later in the week we forgot and placed a box of donuts on the refrigerator and the ants were all over those donuts.  We were told that if we wanted new towels or sheets we could trade ours in during certain hours.  The check out required that we take the sheets off the beds and put towels in piles on the floor.  We would be charged $25 if we didn't do that.  We have never stayed at a timeshare where there wasn't mid week cleaning done and we were required to do cleaning before check out.  We received an email stating that our unit was very dirty and $55 were being charged for excessive cleaning.  I thought they had the wrong unit.  We left that place just as they wanted.  Sheets off bed etc.  The cleaning co. stated there was vomit and alcohol under the table.  We don't drink and no one vomited.  The cleaning crew sent a picture of a oreo crumb under the table.  No picture of vomit.  It was my word against theirs.  The management of Beachside Village did nothing to help me.  Terrible customer service.  I would not recommend this place.  You might get surprise bills.  We changed our sheets and towel and still had to pay extra for cleaning.
