LOVELY place to stay!  We stayed for 5 nights and were VERY pleasantly surprised! Right from the start with communicating with Ana about our reservation, she was SO accommodating!  We absolutely LOVED our room!  Very nicely decorated!! King size bed, nice bathroom, kitchenette with full size fridge, nice little living room.  VERY clean!!  They even have a pool!  Close to the beaches.  We loved it so much, we going back in September!  A real gem!!

Lovely, sweet place to stay!!

the hotel is surrounded by plants and cool little pathways. This place is adjacent to the Englewood Beach parking lot. Walk to beach and have own private parking spot. Room was acceptable and clean and nice. Not high rent, but clean and nice. Plan on going back. No pool........but ocean is football field away.

Nice affordable beach near by motel/hotel

My wife and I have going there for the last 3 years. The owners are exceptional great people. The rooms are always clean and in order. Never no issues. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a great stay. We will return in 2024. 

July 4th weekend

5th yr there!  Love this hotel!  Owners are wonderful and go out of their way for you.  Clean and like being at home!!!  I have never stayed anywhere like this.  The hardest working couple I know.  Wish I could send them on a vacation 

Another fabulous trip

I discovered Sun Life Beach Hotel a year ago when visiting the Englewood Fl area. My 2022 stay was so pleasant that I decided to stay here again in 2023, this time accompanied by my wife. This little hotel is perfect for couples or small families. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating. My room was clean and comfortable.  My wife does have a fragrance allergy which was aggravated  by some sort of air or fabric fragrance in our room, but subsided after a day or so. As mentioned in other reviews, we did notice the king mattress in #7 was softer than our liking, but we made it work for a few days. We did not notice any road noise in #7, perhaps because it was muffled by the pool wall. The WIFI was strong, fast and dependable. Overall, I believe Sun Life Beach offers the best affordable accommodations in the Englewood area. Thank you Ana for another pleasant stay! We look forward to our next visit.

Look No Further

My in laws live in Port Charlotte and when we visit them we typically stay in the Hampton Inn. I went down to bring supplies and help with repairs to their house following hurricane Ian. I quickly found all the hotels were booked for the remainder of 2022. While searching just two days before leaving Alabama, I found this place had a new vacancy for just the days I was going to be there. I grabbed it and I am so happy I did. What a hidden gem. This will be our new go to place to stay, no more Hampton Inn.  The owners are amazing. They make you feel very welcome and at home, checking on your needs throughout the stay. If you are like me and read reviews before you book a place, please do not pay attention to the very few negative reviews. These reviews are from people who do not read descriptions, are entitled, and cannot follow a few simple rules which are in place to keep the rooms pleasant for the next guest. And the one review stating they discriminate against vets is absolutely false. As a 24 year retired active duty vet, I can ensure you they treat everyone (including vets) with respect. Thank you for an amazing stay and allowing me to help my in laws get their place livable again. Hope to see you on our next visit.

I travel all year and due to my business usually stay in 4/5 star hotels, never in a motel. I would stay here all year, clean, comfortable, the best hosts with Ana and Ian, immaculate is all I can say… I will be back on vacation, thank you!

I was in here on business but thwarted by a hurricane

This is a very quaint hotel. It’s like you have your own little apartment. I loved the beach themed decor. The kitchen dining room area has a full refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, plates, cups, eating utensils, and other things you may need. There is a small couch and tv. We had the room with a king sized bed. Very comfy. Plenty of space in the closet to hang your clothes. A nice pool area as well. The beach is just a few minutes drive from the hotel. We went to 5 different beach areas. We liked some better than others. McDonalds is right across the street. Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie all close by. 
The only thing missing was an ice machine. Other than that this is the perfect vacation spot.

Quaint Hotel

My wife and I have been to the Englewood beaches many times and being from Ohio we are always on the lookout for places to stay for the following summer. We always talked about staying at the Sun Life Beach Hotel and this trip we did just that. Great decision! The room was spotlessly clean and was just perfect for us. It’s a short drive to the beach and close enough to places to eat in the evening. The owners are super friendly and try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. There’s a pretty cool pool area and the covered porch outside your room is nice to sit and relax in the evening.

What a Great Find Near The Beach!

To start, Anna’s responsiveness and care for customers becomes evident quickly. 
The property and room are thoughtful & neat. The room was perfectly clean. I am a clean-freak and a high volume business traveler…and it was perfectly clean. 
Have spent most of my life visiting Englewood & happy to have found this place for my future visits. 
It made a special weekend even better.
