I made the husband sleep closet to the door so he could be stabbed first because the door could have been easily kicked in. The carpet 'crunched' in one part of the room. I wore flip flops in the bath tub just to keep my feet safe from the nasties and threw them away after. Worst hotel room ever!

'Bates Motel' dba Budget Inn of Jasper

Any port in a storm, literally. 
As my wife, kid, and myself found ourselves with a faulty tire, and loaded down truck evacuating from impending hurricane Ian there were few options at 9 pm available, especially on a quickly shrinking budget. The walls have mildew, poorly patched holes in the walls that aren't painted, a wobbly toilet, palmetto bugs, doors coming apart, outlets falling ouy of the walls, exposed wiring, cigarette burns in the sheets, and carpets that haven't been shampooed since 1990. What it didn't have were bed bugs, or insanely inflated prices. The AC worked, the shower was clean and had hot water, and we only saw one palmetto bug. 
At $89 for a night it was literally our only option, and absolutely was not worth it. We couldn't continue driving because of the separated tire, and in a truck with a standard cab all 3 of us weren't sleeping in the truck. It was at very least a bed and a hot shower in an emergency situation on top of an emergency situation. Would I stay there again? Oh lord no. Was I thankful at the time that we found somewhere for the night? Yeah, up until I opened the door. 

It could be a decent motel if they just did a little maintenance. Tighten down the toilet, patch and paint the walls correctly, clean up the mildew, replace the bathroom door, and get some new sheets. That may be too much for them, but the parking lot was pretty full, so I'm thinking not. At least we didn't leave with new "pets."

Go Somewhere Else!

If you like roaches, holes in the floor, lampshades with mold, toilets that move when you sit on them, and a room that will make your skin crawl for 75 bucks..... than this is the motel for you. Hot water? Who needs it? Wifi? What’s that? Possibility of getting mugged in the parking lot? YUP! I feel like I might’ve gotten some kind of disease from just staying in the room. I ignored the giant red flag since it was 1am but they have a sign in the office that says you have 10 minutes to reject the room. Gee I wonder why. Keep driving there’s a Days Inn up the road that’s cheaper and clean.

The room was comfortable and the front office was real easy to deal with no hassle and not bad price for a night would definitely recommend staying here if your a frequent traveler  on the go also close to the interstate

Comfortable and Good Price

We stayed in room 102 and 103 and 102 was full of bed bugs! We got in late and never noticed anything until we woke up in the morning. We had no clean towels. There was a used towel hanging on our bathroom door. Neither room had rolls of toilet paper. They only had small amounts left on the rolls.This place should be shut down. It's dirty and needs major updating.

No not stay!! Bed bugs!!

Me and my husband stayed there for a couple weeks while house was getting ready to stay in... the girls that worked the desk (only 2 women worked around the clock) were very friendly and tried to make their guest feel welcomed and stay. Most of the descriptions of this motel on this site is very old- pool had a jungle in the area where it might have been. Hot water might work or might not... non smoking room? Ha! While we were there I went in 4 or 5 rooms all smelled like an ashtray; didn’t notice any creepy crawlers (roaches) but maybe it was luck. Very quiet but could hear interstate traffic. Says free breakfast? That to a lie. WiFi never worked while I was there.Ice machine hasn’t been in use for a few years from looks of it. And not once was room service offered had to request clean towels and sheets which was not correct size for bed then was told I could use 2 flat sheets...And I had to make the bed! Overall, if on a budget not to bad- have seen worse. Friendly staff, just remember hot water doesn’t work about as much as it does, no WiFi but ok cable. And bring cold drinks cause no ice.

Hit and miss

Stopped off to sleep for one night while traveling. No Hot water, Mold in the coffee pot, Used shampoo half empty, No towels, No soap. Sheets on bed were not proper. For 80.00 per night very unacceptable.  Went and complained with no help in return. Called management, non american individual aggressively stated no one else has a problem so we cannot help you. Low and behold this hotel is owned by out of town people who can hide behind a telephone such as your quality telemarketers do when they call you to sell something. typical smoke and mirrors non american business. Further more drug deal out front in late evening. When staying here carry a weapon for safety measures.

Pathetic Budget INN!!!!

Stoped got a room went to room turned lights on tired went to bathroom German roaches crawling all over the door and dirty washcloth still hanging on shower. Went to front desk to get refund and girl at desk tried to give us grief about wanting money back haven't even been there 2 min and sign on counter said u have 10 min to reject a room that should have been our first clue. I have never seen so many roaches and droppings in my life and I used to clean out evictions if that is any clue to what I have seen . The health inspector needs to take a look at this place and they would be closed down. Afraid u would get something u couldn't get rid of PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE .

Beware

After an accident we were taken to this motel..OMG..old run down place, room looked OK when we entered...air condition / heating unit was falling apart, towels dirt grey colour and rough, sheets the same. Toilet did not work, bath faucet falling of, a struggle to get shower to work. Electric socket falling out of wall, bed should be thrown out...carpet looked pretty dirt.  When we told reception..no luck he did not speak English !!!...Run from this place....
