My husband and I really enjoyed our Labor Day weekend in this charming Victorian. Barbara, our host, was very gracious and accommodating. We stayed in two rooms because of an online reservation glitch but it turned out to be a blessing as we got to experience two different rooms and floors of the house. The bathrooms are huge and the beds are so comfortable. The furnishings will transport you back in time. Most especially the breakfast was amazing, with the healthy and organic fruits, grape juice, muffins and breads, and the homemade frittata! I can’t wait to make this our tradition! 

A Victorian B&B charming weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B.  Our room upstairs was large and comfortable with a large bathroom.  The house was charming.  Breakfasts were ample, fresh fruit, eggs, quiches, homemade grape juice from the property's grapes!  On the morning we departed, Barbara was up with us at 5:30 to give us a nice breakfast and conversation!

Quiet and lovely B&B

Just returned from a wonderful trip!  We stayed in the cottage and it was beautiful, quiet and everything functioned perfectly.  The grounds are amazing, definitely explore.  The owner is very friendly, helpful and a fantastic cook!  Breakfasts were absolutely delicious.  The inn is furnished and decorated in Victorian style, very charming. We will be back!

Fantastic!

What a lovely trip! We had a wonderful time exploring the nearby Russian River valley and spending time on the back porch. The back porch and garden are heavenly for relaxing over a bottle of wine from the day's tastings and watching the sunset. You can explore the garden and see where ingredients for your homemade breakfast are growing. Not only are the ingredients fantastic, but her cooking is amazing! From fresh squeezed grape juice to flakey scones to moist muffins - we looked forward to breakfast each morning of our stay.

Great B&B with a Sweet Owner and Gorgeous Grardens!

To start this place is NOT impressive as you drive up to it and pull in the parking lot.  We all thought we made a mistake at first.  Barbara, the inn keeper, greeted us at the door with a grand smile and welcomed us to Case Ranch Inn.  She took us to our rooms, four in total and each were well appointed and welcoming.  The rooms in the mainhouse were bright and cheery with well appointed antiques in the guest rooms, parlor, and dining area.  We also rented the bungalow, a two room guest house, that was private, with two outside seating areas, a grand bed, two fireplaces, and a large seating area; it was comfortable, bright and well appointed.  

The breakfasts were carefully prepared with a nice variety each day.  I particularly liked the fresh fruit but the best part of the breakfast was the homemade grape juice.  The best grape juice I have ever had.  

Its a nice place to stay, close to everything, Barbara is friendly and anxious to help you enjoy all the area has to offer

Comfortable and quaint

The room had a cozy bed and nice antique furnishings. Breakfast satisfied. Updated photos of outside would be helpful, as the grounds seem to be a little tired and overgrown. The common areas inside are lovely and inviting. Innkeeper was helpful and friendly.

If you're into the B&B experience and are looking for a place to stay which is conveniently located to the Russian River wineries, Case Ranch Inn is a good option.  But, readers should be aware.  This is not a country inn, in the traditional sense.  It's a B&B located in an old, historic house.  The proprietor, Barbara Wolf, a charming retired lady, is chief cook and bottle washer and she does an adequate job.  The place is clean, the rooms comfortable, and the toilets flush.  

But, Case Ranch Inn is expensive.  Perhaps bit quite as pricey as some of the in-vogue Napa B&B's, but personally, I think $215 (plus tax) is a lot of money to spend off-season for a place to spend the night and have a high calorie breakfast.  Unless, you're really into antique charm and like being surrounded by tons of bric a brac and tchotchkes, you might be better off staying at a Best Western with a pool and your own private hot tub.  

Driving at night along dark country roads, trying to find your way to a decent restaurant was another turn off.

On the other hand, if you're really into the B&B experience, Barbara does a pretty decent job of managing Case Ranch Inn.  Just remember, it's nothing that even resembles a country inn.  The only meal served is breakfast.
