I made a reservation for 4 people through Tmobile travel, the bedroom is only 1 bed and 1 sofa. I  requested a change for a two beds room and after three hours, I'm still waiting for both, the hotel and the agency and the answer we can't do anything, even paying for an upgrade.

So, tonight I have to stay in a hotel that doesn't work for my family and no one is responsible form

I won't make a reservation anymore with Tmobile travel and of course, first and last time in this "hotel"

Terrible service

We stayed one night. It was good overall. I would definitely recommend the bay inn for anyone wanting a quieter environment (in lieu of the main hotel) but with all the amenities of being next to the beach, etchings . The place was clean. TBH, I was a bit afraid of bed bugs given other reviews but we checked the place out before bringing anything in and it was clean. Mattresses had zippered covers. Beds are cheap and uncomfortable. Interior is dated. But we were at the beach the whole day. Fine for a short stay.

Good for the Price

We stayed across street from main hotel, Lani Kai, but were able to use all facilities at hotel. The Bay Inn was quiet with outdoor deck on canal. Suite was large and clean. Walk to everything. Lani Kai is lively with great beach, with music, games, food and bars. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. Walk to downtown for eateries, shopping and live entertainment. Very safe. Love Fort Meyers beach! Second visit.

Great Value/Price

I stayed for five nights during Thanksgiving week. The property was in good condition, and the room with the full kitchen was very  nice, comfortable, and clean. TVs were in good working order with decent selection, and included internet was decent quality. Staff was friendly, and the presence of security gave some peace of mind. A couple of the restaurants on property were only open hit and miss, including a bar with pizza I wanted to try (was only open first day and never reopened rest of week). Location is very convenient with beach directly across the street. Very close to Times Square. Would have liked to have a gym, but jogging the sidewalks outdoors and resistance bands filled the gap for the week. Only small complaint would be the property selling parking spaces to the public, which once resulted in me temporarily having no place to park when I returned from grocery shopping. They did quickly find me a space, but property should be more aware of this. Recommend using Walmart only 10 minutes away instead of grocery shopping on the island - you will pay about 25% more. I have also never been a fan of a resort fee. It was disclosed and I knew about it, so that wasn't the issue. I would just rather they state the price all up front, instead of trying to make the room seem cheaper on booking sites. I would stay here again.

Clean Room and Nice Property

First off I want to say that we stayed at the Bay Inn across the street. It was just me and my wife. Plenty of room just for us. Easy access to beach even tho we was on the other side of the road. Bonus it was about half the price as Lani Kai. 
We will definitely comeback! Make no bones about it!

Happy Times

Bay inn location is fantastic. We took our wagon right across the street for easy pool and beach access. This spot is supposed to be “quieter” but I would not agree. We could hear our neighbors above and next door all. the .time! Felt like the people above us were going to come through the floor. Room is outdated and not very clean. Had to ask for housekeeping to come upon our arrival to clean hair and split coffee (or some brown liquid) off the wall. Door trim clearly hasn’t been painted or cleaned well- a lot of dirt and finger smudges on walls and doors. Just expected better given the cost

Location was great but loud and outdated

The room was relatively clean, but outdated, and just an eyesore in general. If you are 20 and want cheap and functional, it would be fine. But it was not like the pics on the internet at all. We booked 4 nights and only stayed 1 night and moved. Even through we had pre-paid for the other nights, it was bad enough that we ate the money and switched hotels. It felt cheap and ghetto. I’m sure it was nice in the 80’s, but I don’t think they had done anything to improve the property since then. This was our first time to Florida and this was NoT the memory that my teenage daughter and I wanted. Spend the money and stay somewhere else.

Ok, but really disappointed

Did a 3 night stay in a Queen suite. Room was clean and maybe a bit dated but comfortable for the most part. The value for the price was there. If you are expecting the Ritz you are in the wrong place. This is part of the bigger hotel across the street so the Beach was awesome, The bars were great and reasonably priced and there was plenty to do. It is conveniently located to everything. I upgraded my rental car in anticipation of having to drive everywhere. Parked it when we got there and never had to move it again. Everything was within walking distance and the surrounding beachfront eateries were stellar. Did the bed squeak? Yes but wasn't horrible. The overall experience was great for us.

Way better than expected

We have stayed at lani kai and we love it,but this was the first time in "the bay inn at lani kai",,the worst,our room was 1207,facing the side, they just have a little window a/c in the livingroom, no a/c on the rooms,so if you are going to stay there make sure to bring a fan and inflated mattress because the bedroom mattress was horrible and noisy, my husband will lay down on one side and me on the other side and we'll end up in the middle of the bed,(rolling) against each other and the sofabed worse,I called front desk and they brought me another mattress to put on top of the one the sofabed has,and supposedly they changed the bed mattress but it felt the same so,,,watch out friends,,, I never felt this way at any place we have stay at... I was dying to leave that room,,,so if you are planning to go during summer make sure to bring a portable a/c if you have any, and don't forget the air mattress,,,,👍

The worse place to stay,(the bay inn at lani kai)

Older hotel but we like going to the roof top restaurant, very decent pricing and specials, 3.95$ for eggs special, same dish is served for 8.50 at restaurant next door. Nice view and friendly staff. We have been going there for years and will continue to do so, I hope they renovate soon
