Fort Walton Beach

This is a very large complex with well over 1000 condos on 6 levels. It is right off the very busy US 98 highway. The infrastructure is well designed with an adjacent parking ramp and multiple elevators. The central courtyard is open to the Gulf of Mexico and the beach is white and powdery. Only one of the 4 outdoor pools is heated during the winter months but there are 2 hot tubs as well. There are lots of water features and a lazy river with tubes to keep the kids busy.
Security is strict with guards on duty day and night, so you have to wear a bracelet in the pool areas and gym. Our unit on the top floor of the C block had great view of the ocean in the distance, the lower numbered units in A and B are closer to the beach, have ocean views mostly on the upper floors and are more expensive. Our unit was clean, with a good sized and reasonably well equipped kitchen, so you do not have  to eat out unless you choose to. Our host, Danica reachable at rentwaterscape.com was helpful and responsive for troubleshooting.

Perfect family resort in a noisy location close to major roads

Unit A605 has a great view but is 300 steps from the parking garage. But the main problem is the living room furniture. Not family friendly. Only seats 4 people very uncomfortablely. The couch is very low and saggy. Whe  you sit on it you almost  sit on the floor.Instead of a love seat or a couple of recliners there is only 1 low chair. Wish the owner would update the furniture.

Furniture needs updating 

The WATERSCAPE RESORT on FT WALTON Beach Florida is AMAZING. Nicest hotel I've EVER stayed in.
The place is immaculate.
Early every morning, you see their workers busy throughout the pool area cleaning and repairing pools, grills, patio furniture and grounds.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and equipped with all the conveniences of home.
The elevators are abundant, smooth and clean with minimal wait time.
The business transactions have always been smooth and flawless. 
Check in and out are very simple and convenient. 

Our family has had a wonderful time at WATERSCAPE on numerous visits. We've stayed in several different rooms. They have all exceeded our expectations

AWESOME PLACE

Great place for the family! On the beach with great pools for all ages. Price ranges for condos to meet any budget. Restaurants all around and a lot of activities to do when not in or on the water……..

Fall Break

We used to love this place for the kids. Now that they have changed the way they set up the beach chairs, it's awful. There are so many chairs and umbrellas you battle to walk down to the water.  Then once you get past the umbrellas you have tents, personal umbrellas, and personal chairs. We like to bring our own small beach chairs to sit at the water's edge but there were so many people lined up along the coastline you couldn't play, you couldn't get in the water, you couldn't enjoy yourself at all. No room for kites, no room for beach games, no room to throw a frisbee or a football. We won't be back!!!

Terrible beach experience!

We got checked in at 4pm room was not clean, there were cockroaches in the bathrooms still Alive we were really freaked out and contacted management. Had to speak to multiple people before the issue was resolved. Issue wasn’t resolved til 7:30pm! They continued to tell me someone named Frank would be contacting me to resolve the issue which we never received a call back from. We were told by management to change our own sheets if there were extra in the room because they were dirty when we arrived. Staff was very rude to me and my children. We were overall highly disappointed with our stay here. We are use to staying at very nice high end places which is why we pay to much to stay where we do. By far the worst vacation experience we’ve had. Staff charged us extra for plastic  forks every time we ordered food (required to be eaten with forks) at the pool tiki bar.  We are very easy going people but the things that happened during our stay here were just not what we expected and should have been handled differently. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Especially if you have kids because the staff could care less about you and the cleanliness of your stay. We barely slept with one eye open due to the circumstances here. Was not enjoyable at all. Good luck to the next people who stay here.

Cockroaches in rooms

Unit 610 told them I would be arriving late code would not work took the over an hour to get us in unit. Shower had mold and one shower door would not shut. Furniture was dirty also pool furniture was disgusting with chairs having a lot of dirt on them . Baby pool had an area that was closed off . Lazy River floats were not inflated and there were only a few . No nonstick pans so everything you cooked stuck . I have contacted Vacasa  which is who I rented it from. They called waterscape manager and offered $100 joke after I paid over $2000 for 5 nights.  Would love for the owner to contact me.

Not worth the price!

We love this resort! On the water, so no hauling the kids and beach stuff back and forth via car. Plenty of variety to keep toddlers to teens entertained at the pool area. Pier is the perfect distance away for a family adventure but to keep the pier crowd away as well. More than 1/2 the rooms have great ocean views, and the others have very partial views.

Best family beachfront hotel in Destin area

We stayed at the waterscape condo in Okaloosa island unit A416 rented thru Southern Resorts.  We had a great stay. The room was a great size for our family of 5.  The view was of pools and had a view of ocean. The room itself was great.  No complaints. On 4th floor so parking garage on same floor. We took elevator down to 2nd floor to access the top part of pools. The one complaint with complex was 4th floor smelled soooo bad. It was gagging. While there they tried carpet cleaning and it didnt help
  The 2nd floor to access the pools was fine!  So its not a unit prpblem but a complex problem. They need to rip that carpet out. The beach area was nice but ocean was gross with the seaweed. Which its not always an issue just was when we werw there so we went to destin for beach days it was walking distance to a few restaurants so that was nice.  Overall we liked the waterscape and would recommend.   Note the pools do get busy and prob more so because ocean was gross.  You cant hold spots before pools open of they will take your stuff so as soon as 8am hits people grabbed their chair's .  Pools were a big hit with kids

Unit A416 Waterscape

We stayed in unit B403 and everything was perfect. The view was amazing the beaches were beautiful. The rooms were decorated very nicely and everything  You  Might need was close by. I love the fact that it was so close to the airport not a long drive
