Bill and Kelly treated us wonderful and helped me pull off a delightful surprise for my wife a couple months before our baby was born. We stayed in the Beloved Cottage and the atmosphere was very relaxing, quiet, and lovely. Definitely Christian-friendly and there is a discount for returning guests -- no doubt because once you come, you'll want to come back. Have to wait till the baby is old enough to stay with a sitter!

Perfect romantic surprise for babymoon

In a pandemic 2020 trying to find anywhere to go that doesn't require an airport or a crowded hotel/area is tough.
I found Lockheart Gables while specifically searching places to stay with in-room hot tubs and pulled the trigger on this one as it was the only room available and everything seemed cozy and romantic.

I also added fondue, chocolate covered strawberries, and an hour long couples massage (of which they requested a time to be given so they could schedule) to the room to make it extra special for the wife and I.

Upon arrival we got the brief tour of the house and shown to our room and some restaurant recommendations. We picked the Thai place just down the road (another review, but it was good) as we wanted to be back in our room for 6pm for our massages.
Upon return we were told they were struggling to find someone gor 6pm but could get them there for 9pm.
Well....post-pendemic shutdown we get people are busy so we adjusted our evening from massage and hot tub to hot tub and massage.
We wished that had been sorted out sooner so we could plan accordingly but it wasn't a huge issue.

Chocolate covered strawberries were delivered to the room but they wanted to confirm about the fondue which we turned down as we had just had Thai and was probably too much food for lil' old us.

Long story short the room was clean (hardwood floors were bare foot clean which is saying something), the hot tub relaxing (all though the hot water takes a long time to fill due to low pressure) and the bed comfortable.
The closet squeaking was LOUD and maybe a little TLC on some of the furniture and walls are in order but overall it's a very nice room.

Our stay was very nice and we do have plans to return to try out the other rooms as they are all unique in their own way. Being so close to I-30 however we didn't hear the traffic at all. But we were facing east and the highway is north.

We tipped the masseuse and masseur as they left (well worth it) but paid for the service via the reservation. So we were unsure if the gratuity option on the check-out form was to include their tip or if it was just for the hotel. We could have asked but you don't think about these things until you've left.

Perfect one night getaway

When we found out what a terrible neighborhood this property was located in, we immediately cancelled our reservation.  They still charged us $195 even though we never stayed there.  I would be very cautious about this so-called "romantic" bed and breakfast.  Check out the neighborhood first!

A romantic weekend getaway in a Hundred and Thirty year old Mansion… Off of I-30 and Rosedale in the heart of Fort Worth? Absolutely! What a beautiful jewel right in town.
You may question your GPS up until the last 50 feet when driving to this absolutely beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast in the heart of Fort Worth Texas. Pulling into the driveway instantly takes you back a 100 years when the very oaks you are driving under were barely twigs. Stunningly beautiful, romantic vibes start flowing the moment your feet hit the ground. Walking up the old porch to the door continues the travel back in time as you are greeted by the inn keepers Bill and Kelly Hays. Two beautiful souls take great pride in showing you around what really almost instantly feels like home. Beautifully adorned, there is barely a detail that wasn’t considered to make your stay there memorable. The couple really make you feel at home, inviting you to plink on the piano or walk the beautiful grounds. Entering what is truly a home blessed and built on faith, you are presented with everything from a Victorian era tea room, soaring ceilings and even a private room for prayer. 
Getting past the initial overwhelming experience of simply being there is where your focus on your beloved becomes front and center. 3 rooms are on the upper floor of the house. Each decorated in their own unique theme, all of them center around love, unity and faith. The creaking floors and antique fixtures take you to a much simpler time when couples and their families were their whole worlds. But enough nostalgia.
Our room was built on what used to be a grand porch where the family would sleep when it was too hot at night before the introduction of AC. Completely finished out, it had a beautiful custom carved bed next to a heart shaped bathtub for 2. Modern amenities could easily distract you from being surrounded by such a beautiful place. WiFi, Cable TV, DVD players etc were all available. The tub was very comfortable and jetted. Perfect for two to easily relax without feeling crowded. Candles, tart warmers, essential oils and romantic lighting easily helped break the attention from the modern hustle and bustle. Breakfast was delivered directly to the room when you schedule it with the innkeepers the night before. We received delicious heart shaped blueberry pancakes with all the usual breakfast fixings. 
We could go on and on simply about the sheer beauty of this home and grounds. Perfect for small weddings, wedding pictures and small receptions. To say love is in the air is an understatement. We look forward to spending a more nights there in the other rooms in hopes of eventually experiencing all this beautiful bed and breakfast has to offer. You don’t have to go far for a romantic weekend getaway.

My husband and I got married at the Lockheart Gables B&B on April 20th, 2019.  Kelly and Bill made sure that every little detail was perfect and that our ceremony and reception were lovely and stress free.  Bill performed the ceremony and did an amazing job of including the kids, especially with the sand ceremony which we loved!  Kelly was so great with the planning and making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish.  We stayed our wedding night in the Beloved Cottage and it was amazing!  I wish we had a second night to stay before flying out for our honeymoon but can't wait to return again!  The cottage was beautiful and spacious with 3 rooms, a heart shaped jacuzzi for two, a beautiful rainforest shower, private covered patio, fireplace and a super comfy bed. We loved the covered patio where we enjoyed breakfast with a beautiful view of the garden before heading out to the airport.  The breakfast was amazing and the heart shaped fresh blueberry pancakes were so good!  We are so happy that we chose to get married here and couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our special day!  The Lockheart Gables Romantic B&B is the perfect location for a wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or a romantic getaway.  Thank you Bill and Kelly for an amazing stay and such a perfect day... you made it so special!

Beautiful Wedding & Reception

The owners Bill and Kelly made this an adventure to remember. My wife and I decided to veer from our traditional routine and could not be happier about the property or our step back in time. This Century old home was restored with a Victorian/honeymoon decor. My wife and I got to have input in the breakfast each morning, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh fruit(my choice) each morning. My personal favorite were the blueberry pancakes on the 2nd morning—-they were full of fresh, whole blueberries. The bed was fitted with some of the most luxurious sheets I’ve ever slept on. The large heart-shaped Jacuzzi was a bonus. We highly recommend and would stay again, given the opportunity.

Concert getaway.

We loved our stay at the Lockheart Gables! We were greeted with delicious cookies in our room with our name on them, which was such a special touch. The room had a heart shaped tub which was so romantic, especially with the candles they had out for us. The bed was so comfortable which is usually not the case when we are staying away from home. We loved the sitting area outside, so I recommend taking advantage of that if the weather was good. The breakfast was delivered to our room both mornings which made us feel like royalty. The bed and breakfast had lots of drinks and snacks throughout the weekend and they also had a large selection of DVD's to choose from. We also loved how close it was to all the areas we wanted to go (everything was within a 10 minute drive)

I highly recommend this B&B for any stay, whether it's just to get away or to celebrate an anniversary or wedding.

What a beautiful B&B! I actually got to sleep under the trees in a luxurious bed! Super clean. Attention to detail is spot on. Perfect for a 5-star romantic getaway. Wow...Breakfast in your room! Don't miss this one when you stay in the Fort Worth area!

I booked a room at Lockheart Gables Romantic Bed & Breakfast for my wife and I's second honeymoon.  It was actually our second choice due to the first choice being fully booked. I'm glad it was booked and we had the chance to experience Lockheart Gables! The hosts were great, very accomodating, the room was beautiful, a great blend of turn of the century with modern comforts. The breakfast was great as well. Definitely recommended!
