This hotel is opulent and historic.   The historic nature is what attracted me to attend this event.  The building is beautiful and well maintained.  The indoor pool is fabulous.   I didn't go to the casino.   There is a cute trolley car that runs to the nearby West Baden Hotel. 

Awesome

The French Lick Springs Hotel was very nice. Our king room and bathroom were spotless and spacious. Also, all of the employees were very friendly. We enjoyed the smoke-free casino and had a delicious dinner at 1875 The Steakhouse.

This is the coolest, most original and fun hotel we’ve ever stayed in as a family! There’s something for every age, and it was beautiful! The staff is so friendly/helpful/accommodating, and we cannot wait to go back!!

MUST STAY

This is the second year we stayed at the French Lick Springs Hotel for their New Years Eve event.  This year TOPPED last year!  We had such an enjoyable time last year we chose to come again for 2022 and glad we did.  The Brazilian Theme was as it should be since we had just visited Brazil three years ago.  The meal was perfect and outstanding to Brazilian customs and menu.  The staff and (especially bartenders) were fantastic.  We look forward to attending New Years Eve 2023 at French Lick Springs Hotel.

2022 New Years Eve Event and stay

Our company held meetings at French Lick in September 2022 and every single person we encountered, as well as those who supported behind the scenes, made the event a huge success. The venue is enormous, but never felt cold or TOO big. There are so many things to do, you'll easily find something for everyone. We hosted a golf tournament on the gorgeous, impeccably kept Donald Ross course, and non-golfers tried their hand at clay shooting with assistance of the hilarious and helpful shooting pros. The casino was also a big hit, and our some of our guests enjoyed that into the wee hours. A couple of us even got to spend a little time on horseback while there!

The Group Sales Manager, Brittany Nelson, set the tone by working with us every step of the way. She was kind, understanding, flexible and professional with each request we made. She made sure to understand exactly what we were hoping to accomplish with our event, then executed the contracts to ensure that we got the experience we expected. She is top-notch at her job, and from the first time I spoke with her, I knew we were at the right place.

Once our event was set, we were introduced to Nikiea Jones, the Meeting and Event Planning Manager. Nikiea is the person you'd want to handle any detailed event. We had so many changes in the months, days, and minutes leading up to our event, and Nikiea handled them with grace, imagination, and competence. She. Is. Wonderful! Not once did she act like any curve we threw her was a difficulty ... and we had a lot! She turned what could easily have been a disaster into a fantastic event. She was able to arrange (and rearrange and rearrange again!) meetings and activities that were incredibly beneficial to our event. Her suggestions regarding golf and clay shooting and spending time at the casino were a big help. She makes everything seem fun and possible at the same time.

Abbie Ehringer, the Group Rooms Coordinator at French Lick, is nothing short of a genius. I'm not sure how she managed to keep track of all of our room changes, but she did so with incredible speed and accuracy. And while she would have been justified to use some colorful language, she never once acted like we were a burden. 

The golf pro, Lori Atsedes, is worth the trip to Indiana. Our golfers, many of whom take the game pretty seriously, were extremely impressed to have such an icon of the sport on hand. Her love of the game is apparent in how well loved the courses at French Lick (there are two full courses and a 9-holer) are kept. 

If you're looking for a good meal, we found each of the restaurants on site to offer really delicious food. The only thing I'd caution is that with the current labor shortage, you want to make sure to make reservations in advance if you're looking to eat at either 1875: The Steakhouse or Sinclair's (located at the West Baden part of the resort). Each, however, is worth the extra effort.

The only other point I'd make is that when we were planning this event, I was a little concerned that the location was too far for our guests to travel. It is about an hour and 15 minute drive from the Louisville Airport, but there is a small, corporate airport a few minutes down the road from the resort. I was happily surprised that no one felt that the drive was too far. 

All in all, I would 100% recommend French Lick for any business, family, or weekend getaway you're planning. 

Perfect place for meetings!

My husband and i had our honeymoon here. It was my first trip here, but it wont be our last. It was amazing! We can't wait for our next visit. So much to do and see.  We didn't get to see everything but what we did we loved. Great food and the Casino has the best hot cocoa.

Honeymoon

Being in Vegas as many years as I have been, I have experienced the Best of the Best. This Hifden Gem was a total surprise as much as I love mob history this was the cream on top. The staff was very accommodating and the steak house could rival the best in Vegas.  The HISTORY of the Hotel was a plus for me.

The hotel is beautiful and impressive. The decor is extravagant and such a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were surprisingly large and the lobby is luxurious. It was a lovely day and we enjoyed walking the grounds and taking the trolley to the West Baden resort. There is a lovely, large porch outside where guests can relax and enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

Magnificent

I treated my husband to a stay at French Lick Resort for his birthday. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed ( important for old, bad backs). The staff was professional, helpful and friendly. The concierge went the extra mile to answer our questions and set up fantastic carriage ride! Love the trolley system! Makes everything so easy and convenient. Had fun (and won) at the casino! Enjoyed wonderful breakfast at the Grand Colonnade! A thoroughly enjoyable time that I highly recommend!
