BED BUGS!

PROSITUTES, PIMPS, AND DRUGGIES ON PREMISES!

STAINS, TATTERED BEDDING, AND BROKEN FURNITURE!

This is the most slummiest and sketchiest motel I've been to. Even third-world countries have way cleaner and hospitable lodging than this place.

One red flag that I should've paid attention to was that the front desk asked upon our arrival, "We haven't charged your card yet, would you like to inspect the room first?" Having driven 4 hours to get here, my friend and I were wondering, why would you ask that?? Alas, naive and tired us (this was past 12 am) said, nah, just charge it.

We arrived outside our room and realized why the front desk asked that question. Upon looking through the window, the most dirtiest and unsafe room. Holes in the bedding. Broken furniture. Stains everywhere. I felt so incredibly uncomfortable that I slept with my shoes on in a fetal position that night. 

Next morning, went to use the restroom. See in my periphery, some reddish bug on me. Become more awake and it's a freaking bed bug! Alerted my friend that we have to book it. Grabbed our stuff and went to the parking lot. Start finding more bed bugs on ourselves and on our bags outside.

Went to tell the front desk about the bed bugs and they were like, uhh sorry,  we didn't know that. Then why would you freaking ask if we wanted to check the room in the first place?!

Also, the front desk posted a notice on the wall that they only "clean" the rooms once a week.

For your sanity and safety, don't even think of coming here!

STAY AWAY! BED BUGS! UNSAFE LOCATION!

We travel a lot, but this is what I saw in the first one. The bear bar is more cozy than this hotel. We went to the first room. The whole bed is covered in semen, blood, goats. The white towels are gray. It's like they washed the floor and hung back. We went to the reception to ask for new bedding. They gave us a new room.

People don't live like this!

We arrived in Fresno late at night and needed somewhere to stay last minute. 

We had been driving for 6 hours and hadn’t pre booked anywhere as we had planned on driving longer. 

We picked one of the closest hotels we could find on Google and unfortunately it took us here! 

As we arrived, there were prostitutes standing along the road staring at us, ironically we felt we was not welcome at all. 

A car with bars on the windows drove into the motel at the same time as us, which worried me. 

The four of us checked into two separate rooms for $50 , so it was really cheap. 

Our rooms smelt of dog and urine. The bed had two dead cockroaches in and the bathroom ceiling looked like it was going to fall through. 

I got no sleep from the worry of the other reviews I read online and the news articles about the shootings and murders that had happened in and around this motel. 

Around 2am there was a lot of noise. Apparently the rooms were used by the prostitutes and I heard someone complained that our room was occupied. I kept the curtains shut and prayed that morning would come quickly. 

Even though it was a worrying experience, it was something different to experience. 
I’m glad I hadn’t looked forward to my stay in Fresno and it was only a place I was passing. 

I would avoid this motel if you are planning a nice trip or if you want somewhere to rest your head for just one night.

No point in a long review - this is THE WORST hotel I have EVER stayed at, by a country mile!!
Grubby rooms, terrible decor, STINK of smoke (in non-smoking rooms..)
Hookers and vagrants everywhere, pimps and punters right outside your door ...rubbish strewn street scene...
Very tired so stayed (after checking fur bed bugs...) but slept with one eye open and left early and would NEVER go back (rather sleep in the car!!!)

Disgusting, uneasy place

It's a terrible hotel, online they offer you a room that smells ugly and everything is dirty, plus the room had cockroaches!! It's careless, the carpet is dirtier and the beds are unpacking, it's just not worth spending a night.

It's not in good taste!!

When I went to Fresno recently I chose the Welcome Inn mainly because of the low price. I had read a few reviews and thought I could live with it O.K.  The building seems to have been there for many years and is needing some repairs. The first night I had to ask the office staff to come fix the bolt lock on my door because it would not lock. A repairman came fairly quickly and fixed it. Later I discovered that the telephone did not work and reported it. Someone came down to look at it, but could not fix it. The room was reminiscent of a Motel 6. The carpet seemed very old and the bathtub was stained. There was no stopper and the office said that they did not have any. . There was someone who stood talking very loudly outside my door that first evening. There is also a major highway nearby, so there was quite a bit of road noise. I had arrived a day or two early and planned a day of sightseeing in the Sequoia National Forest so I stayed another night.  Then I went to a resort for a few days and returned to the hotel the night before leaving on my flight. I specifically requested a different room with a working phone because I wanted a wake up call the next morning. The lady in the office said she would leave a note.  The wake up call did not come. Thank goodness I was up early anyway.  I had also checked on the ice machine earlier and it was out of order.  The office workers seemed a bit more friendly the second time around.

Low price, but sacrifice in quality

The place is close to the main road and the gas station, it is not a nice but fair place to spend the night and continue the journey.The room is clean with good internet connection and low noise and very cheap.So to spend the night after a trip or to rest on the road is fine.Also for that price you can't ask for more.

I stayed one night after a long day of exploring Fresno, CA.  I got there around dinner time.  The staff (an Indian family) was eating.  When they saw me through the window, someone came right away and assisted my registration.  I was asked for I.D. signed the usual paperwork and was on my way.  The room was a single, non-smoking space with a large, clean bed.  The television was the older kind, but the picture was good.  I did not find a remote.  Still, the tube was close to the bed, so no problem.  The room was clean, fresh smelling, and very neat.  there is a Jacuzzi outside.  Nice place right off of highway 99 in Fresno, CA.  I look forward to my next visit there.

This is the classic example of a motel without any interest in what its customers feel comfortable with. Dirty and abandoned, and barely wanting to be there. The bathroom is pretty unpleasant and the rug is paper! Never seen! The location is pretty regular, in front of only the highway and there's nothing else around but motels and a gas station. You have to move by car. No invites to stay...

Quite a bit of a cut.

Easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at - and we are budget travelers. The area was very questionable, all kinds of people hanging outside, and garbage cans on premises full of beer cans.  Inside of room just as bad, if not worse, dirty sheets, the inside of the door is gray from smoke or something, smells stuffy/smoky, almost everything in the room is tagged (mirror, tv, even the mattress), no chain/safety lock on door, lumpy pillows and stained sheets. Feels like a huge risk to be staying here, in many ways. It pains me to write this because we always laugh at reviews like this but this is 100% accurate.
