We have been here twice. Once because the holiday inn was sold out and once by choice. My litmus test of a small motel is can I walk on the carpet and not feel ewwww. 

We travel with our dog. Most hotels put you in the worst rooms and really don't like pets. 

The first time we went with another couple. When we checked in we asked for rooms next to each other. Where's the easy button!!!!

Saturday we went to a party and decided at the last minute to stay over. The manager had to leave but told us which room and he would leave it unlocked. We settled up later for our bill. 

So, if you want an inexpensive motel, with wifi, clean beds, carpet is clean and the shower heavenly try this out. It's not the Hilton but still a great place to stay give it a try. 

Good foot at the TA truck stop less than a block away.

Awesome little motel

My experience at the Riverside Motel was enriching and delightful, I like room #12 that was fitting for my personal need. The room was clean, and I just loved the "fresh linens"
the furniture was nice, free wifi I really liked my room location to the front office. What I liked most about the Riverside Motel, was the friendly environment of  the property manger, who went above and beyond his duties, to help and even serve from his heart. thank you Doug, for your sincere help and dedication you shown unto me, thank you sincerely.

I WAS HONORED BY THE FRIENDLY SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM DOUG, WHO'S KINDNESS, HELPED ME ENJOY, MY STAY A LITTLE LONGER.

The room was clean and fresh, with efficient a/c unit, but also opening windows front and back allowing fresh breeze to blow through.  Décor and plaster work reminded me of a Red Roof Inn.  Bathroom was trimmed with newer ceramic tile.  Shower only, but very large walk-in style with ample water pressure.   Microwave in office.
Innkeeper was very polite and courteous.  Nearby truck stop diner and close to Stewarts shop and Cumberland Farms outlets.    Directly across from historic Erie Barge Canal.

summer road trip

The room was dirty. There was no phone. The tv and the bed with the worn out coils and everything in the room was ancient. The owner was creepy and he had closed circuit cameras focused on the parking lot and then 5 mystery cameras that were not turned on upon check in that hopefully were not in pointed in any of the rooms. The hotel was loud and the room had no deadbolt. Somebody tried to go into our room at one point in the night. We did the best we could to sleep at the place because we were exhausted. We left all our clothes on, slept on top of the blankets and left our dogs out of their crates. The bed on top of being a worn out coiled bed was very tiny. When we were walking the dogs outside before bed around 11 at night, we saw the creepy owner guy walking in and out of all the motel rooms (thankfully not ours) but every other motel room. The parking lot was pretty full and we were sure some of the rooms he was walking in had guests in them. Have no clue what he was doing. At one point he was standing literally right behind us because the room he walked in and out of was that close to where we were walking the dogs, he never said a word to us, only scurried across to the other side of the parking lot and proceed to walk into more rooms. My wife was freaked out and called the state police and asked if it was a safe place to stay and the police officer on the phone told her he wouldn't let his family stay there. We slept maybe an hour or 2 at most if we were lucky even though we were exhausted and proceeded on our several hour drive home in the dark to have some actual sleep in the comfort of our own home. On top of everything else what little lights there were in the parking lot were cut off and the parking lot was pitch black dark.

Sleep in your car instead

We were on a walking tour and it was at the end of a 13 mile day. It was the only choice. It's an old motel with no amenities. Everything was old including linens. Tiny soap not tissues in room. The only thing new was the TV. We stayed mostly at good B &B's on this trip and the motel here was the most expensive. It's not with the price but if your desperate there you are
