Excellent location; easy beach access. We spent every afternoon at the beach -- a short walk away.  Parking is VERY tight. The room size and accommodations are adequate. Staff at check-in/check-out were friendly.

Near Beach Front

I have been coming here for 5 years . The property has become run down and filthy. If I was an owner and paying $500 a month HOA I wouldn’t be happy . Save yourself aggravation and stay else where . The unit was completely disgusting upon check in . There was a used tampon container on the floor next to the bed . Straw wrappers in the bedrooms. Mold on the ceiling. Food all over the balcony . And if you walked on the hardwood floor with bare feet your feet became black . The dryer didn’t work we had to dry towels on the railing of the balcony. Tiles falling off around the pool . Almost $3000.00!for a week of a place that needs to total reconditioning. 

Run Down & Filthy 

Very difficult to park in the confined spaces under the building. Pool was green when we arrived and was eventually closed. Dishwasher did not clean dishes. Otherwise, the unit was clean but dated. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators.

OK but there are better options

Once the biker week participants left, it was a restful and quiet week at Sandy Shores III. The 2 BR unit on the second floor was dated but recently painted.  One block from the beach is fantastic!  Kitchen is a bit tight if you are doing more than putting sandwiches together or more than one cook is cooking.  Beds were great.

October is great in Surfside Beach

Our condo was a nice place to stay and I would consider staying at Sandy Shores again.  However, there are several things that need improvement.  First, the bathroom in the master bedroom needs to be cleaned - it appeared that the vent was throwing off dust which had accumulated over the door.  The furniture was nice; however, better chairs should be placed on the patio (we actually had to call for another chair since there was only one)!  The kitchen should be furnished with a few more necessities!  The TVs were so out of date.  You had to power on some sort of little box then power on the tv.  Although I consider myself technology savvy, we had to call maintenance to come turn on 2 of the tvs -- and several of the remotes were duck taped!  I understand there was a recent new management turnover --- maybe they could address these issues because the location and the pool were very nice!

Needs some TLC!

The place is old. We have an F-150 and parking was very difficult. Things were falling apart in our suite. The pull out sofa bed was dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable letting my son sleep on it. Our last night there we saw a huge bug crawling on the bedroom ceiling. I will never stay there again.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed

If we can get back to enforcement of the usage of the pool between the two buildings to the 0900 to 2200 timeframes,  we would have a GREAT week.   Unfortunately, a few bad apples can ruin your entire batch.
The check in process, amenities, room, cleanliness, furniture, check out process, etc. were all great.   

Annual trip to Garden City Beach, SC

This property is very clean and reasonably priced . The location can not be beat . The property is about 1 mile from Garden City Pier . The beach access is right across the street . You are All so close to Surfside . Also golf carts are allowed at this property which is a big plus .  

Great location and clean!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here.  Perfect space and really close to beach. Comfortable beds and we had everything we needed to enjoy a week of relaxation with our family.  Would definitely come back here again. 

Nice place!

Location was great! Parking was a nightmare! I know stilt parking is common and have done it several times. But this place does not leave enough room at all! Room was great though! Plenty of room and loved that it has a washer/dryer!
