This hotel is newer and smarter than it looks from the outside, and the room was well furnished although with two beds a little small, and the beds were double size rather than queen which meant it was really a twin. However the bedding was very plasticky polyester and I was far too hot in it. The fridge was very noisy. No breakfast option.

The room was partly serviced one day out of 4, one bed was made up and the other was not. A but strange.

The showers were good and the laundry was efficient. You can walk everywhere in Gardiner from here.

Modern and walkable

We had the two-bedroom suite.  It was spacious and well lit, with a couch, an armchair, a table with four chairs, and a full kitchen.  The beds were comfortable.  The bathroom was small, well lit, and had little counter space.  The shower head was good.  It's too bad they don't include a free breakfast.  We had a greasy breakfast at the Cowboy's Grille.  Be sure to check out the park and high school grounds near the Roosevelt Arch in the evening for elk and pronghorn antelope.

Comfortable

The hotel was clean, bed & pillows were comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. You can easily walk to nearby restaurants. Bonus animal sightings - don’t be surprised if there are elk walking around the hotel area and on the sidewalks/streets around town. The proximity to Yellowstone NP is great. We always enjoy passing through Gardiner, it’s a great little town.

Nice place to stay in Gardiner 

When we arrived to check in we were greeted by friendly, helpful, caring staff.  They answered our questions about Yellowstone Park and gave us great suggestions on what not to miss.  We went to all of them and they did not disappoint. The entrance to Yellowstone Park was on the edge of town so great location.
The room was nothing fancy but it was clean, the bed comfortable but the hotel is dated..  There was a safe in the room and the mini fridge actually had a separate freezer.  The parking spaces were narrow and someone dinged out truck.  The hotel was located for walking distance to downtown restaurants, gas station and grocery store. The shower was pie shaped with a sit down shelf but this made it have less room.
There was laundry services available.
Overall if you don't mind a bit of a tired hotel, this was a good spot for access to Yellowstone and the price was reasonable.

Yellowstone Park is just outside of Gardiner and Travelodge is not a bad spot to stay

I recommend staying in Gardiner MT instead of West Yellowstone.   Yes the town is smaller but entrance to the park is much quicker.  Get the room at Travelodge that has 2 queen beds in separate rooms.  It’s awesome.  Large living room. Nice kitchen.  And separate sleeping area.  Fantastic!

Yellowstone National Park

Nice hotel for the one night we stayed. The hotel was sold out yet the area was very quiet. The beds were comfotable and the room was clean. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a little snug but ok.

May 22 TRIP

the rooms are a bit small, but for a quick stay adequate, skipped breakfast as we were on a road trip. Would prefer microwave in the room instead of going to another floor to use one. Hard to carry hot food in an elevator

Clean but Tight

The hotel was clean and beds comfortable for a 1-night sleep/shower.  Not ideal if you need to spread out a bit as it was tight quarters.  Small "store" offered snacks, but only coffee was offered in lieu of a breakfast.  Gardiner appears to have plenty of lunch/dinner options, but few options for breakfast.

Small rooms

We needed a place to stay for the night. We tried to book at Super 8 but they were full. The desk at Super8 helped get us booked at Travelodge. The room was comfortable but small. Woukd not suggest for more than a night or 2. Amenities are few. No breakfast at this time. Only 2 microwaves for everyone to share.
Beautiful view from the room, day and night.  I would book again for a one night stay but cost my prohibit. The rates are high for the value.

One night stay.

This was expensive, but it was also a good place to rest and clean up after a day in Yellowstone.  I'm sure there would have been cheaper options, or better places...but this place was absolutely on the doorstep of Yellowstone and was easy to get in and out of with good parking and nice rooms.  Free Ice to fill up coolers and water bottles for a hot day in the park.  It was by far our most expensive hotel of the trip though...so look around and know what your options are...but this was good for us.  Pizza joint and another restaurant almost in the same parking lot so didn't have to travel far for food.  I would stay here again.
