The motel 6 in Giddings is nothing fancy and very basic; however, it is clean, quiet, and comfortable.  Jay and Sheila, the owners, are extremely accommodating and make every effort to attend to anything that their guests may need.  We stay here  for 2 weeks, twice a year for business.  I even left clothes in the dresser drawer.  Jay is mailing me those!    I highly recommend Motel 6 Giddings .

Motel 6 in Gidding, Texas

I was very disappointed  in this property. I have stayed at many Motel 6 and this by far was the worse! The room was not clean, carpet was dirty and the bathroom was not clean. The heater stopped working and we were told that nothing could be done about it. We asked for extra blankets and were told there were no extras!

Nasty

Nothing fancy, no breakfast but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff at check in and out were nice and friendly.  The hotel was what we needed for an overnight stay.  Would recommend it. It was also close to a number of eating places.

Bike Trip to the Hill Country

Not bad for the price, minimal interface with staff so I can’t review that aspect, no breakfast but that’s okay, does have a pool and it’s actually clean so thankful for that. This place is very convenient to Some gas stations and fast food restaurants. 

Not Bad

We stayed here 10 yearhs ago and it was OK?? The Pros: New fake hardwood floor, bed was OK, A/C unit was awesome... that's it.
CONS: No coffee maker in room, went to the desk at 6:45 for coffee, locked up tighter than a drum. Huge hole in the wall where the shower head comes out. Paint peeling in the bathroom. Miss matched couch torn. TV was so pixelated you could barely see it.

BUT... the oilfield guys are working in the area and it's a semi-clean , cheap room. But when they are gone, this place will die. $75.00 for the night. will not be back.

Needed a Bed a the light wasn't on

We have 60 lb dog. No pet fee as it said. Check out is not til 12. 
Floor is laminated, no carpet.  Good for pet owner. 
You get  what you paid for of course, but it is just for you to sleep with your pet. no complain 

Dog OK!!

We arrived after 8pm.   Reservation had issues, but staff worked thru and we had rooms. Rooms we had were renovated, but still a little gross. Pillows and sheets had stains, the bathroom floor was dirty.  Everything in the room worked, but the dirty linens was too much. I slept on the bed in a sleeping bag I had in the car.

There are better, but more expensive, places to stay in town.

Not horrible

Based on my experiences, perhaps changes (new mgt, etc) has made improvements because I found the hotel to be quiet, clean, and comfortable.  Easy check-in, room was already cool when I entered.  Another hotel that has taken out all the carpeting and installed vinyl plank flooring.  I like that.  Thinking the Motel 6's might be doing that everywhere, not sure but has been case as last few I've stayed at.

No issues, pleasant stay.

Me and four colleagues stayed at this motel for 3 months during summer 2016. The new owners were very friendly and accommodating. Jay, the owner was very diligent making this motel nice. I won't be surprised if it turns out to be one of the best Motel 6's in Texas. Along with fresh paint inside and out, he installed new laminate flooring, new sofas, and granite countertops in bathroom. The pool was always sparkling and clean. I travel a lot and have stayed in many, many motels and hotels. I carry my own mat pad and towels and because of this, I felt I was in an upscale motel. Eventually, I'm sure he will update his towels and mat pads (the only 2 things that weren't a 5 of 5 rating). The water pressure in shower was great and there was ample space for clothing. The HVAC was nice and cold, and that's a big plus in the Texas summers. I've never seen an owner work so hard to update and accommodate his customers. If I am ever, even close to Giddings, this is where I will stay! Thanks Jay for making our stay very comfortable and for what you've done with the place.
