We stayed here one night towards the end of an 11 day road trip.  We were taking the train to Spencer Glacier the next day.  The communication before check-in was good with detailed instructions for finding it and checking in.  The room was very nice and the bed was the most comfy ever.  I liked the set-up with rooms separated for privacy with the open communal area stocked with a good selection of self-serve food and beverages.  Enjoyed meeting other travelers and sharing experiences over coffee.  Our stay was brief and we never saw any staff but I would stay again and recommend to others.

Out of all the places I stayed in Alaska this is my favorite! Clean, gorgeous, peaceful, friendly staff, porches to sit outside in the long cool sunlit  evenings, 10 out of 10 would love to stay here again

Beautiful!

We had a large family group that booked the entire Inn for 2 nights.  It was the perfect situation.  But even if it had just been 2 or 4 of us, I would highly recommend the Ski Inn.  The location is perfect -- across the street and next door to two awesome restaurants/bars and practically next door to the "town" grocery store.  Each room has a refrigerator -- but be advised, probably no closet.  Staff was awesome, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.  Our breakfast was simple (bagels, fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, and very good coffee) though we didn't have staff because we had rented the whole Inn, so it may be more if staff is present.  We were encouraged to pick the wild strawberries in the front garden and they were yummy!  Hope to stay there again!

Perfect stay at Ski Inn!

We were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and clean the Inn was. We also loved the community area with an outdoor walk on checkerboard and just a few steps from the Mercantile. The WiFi, common room and snacks were an awesome surprise and greatly appreciated by our family. We are a family of six from ages 15-65. We stayed comfortably in two rooms with private bathrooms. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and amenities.

The Ski Inn is a great place to stay. The entire place was booked on our stay. The guests were all very quiet and respectful of everybody else in what is a pretty tight fit for everyone. Their are complimentary eats available in the lobby area as well as readings on things to do in the area. Our family of four had a second level room with two queen beds and our own bathroom that served our travel needs perfectly.

A great stay at the Ski Inn!

The ski inn is the real Alaskan experience. Set in the heart of downtown Girdwood it’s a powder hounds paradise. I stayed for 30 nights and really felt at home. Troy the manager is very hands on and runs the inn like it’s his home. The staff are genuine and the common space is a nice way to interact with fellow guests. The high end Jura coffee machine was a nice touch. Also note the ski inn is on the shuttle route so you don’t necessarily need a car. I’ve already booked a month in early 2023 so don’t hesitate book early!

Best place to stay in Girdwood

We were there to snowboard at Alyeska, and originally booked it for that purpose, which was a good fit because it is so close, and also because since they have breakfast items always set up in the lobby, it made it super easy and fast to get something before hitting the lifts. They have a good selection of items and drinks.   
 However we liked it so much, we just keep extending for mutiple nights as we found it to be a great base to go visit the  Kenia Peninsula and the towns there. It is also close to Wittier and the Portage Glacier. 
     The room was super comfortable with nice beds, linens and towels, but more than that it has such a nice feel that you don't find at most hotels. Very laid back and relaxed with a comfortable sitting area in the lobby to enjoy reading, having a snack from the complimentary items  there, or just visiting with other guest. Another thing that is unusual but nice is that one is given a code to the front door and to your room. So there is no need to check in or worry about getting a key. Lastly a lot of the restaurants in Girdwood are really close by and there is a grocery store just two buildings over. Our time there was just what we wanted and we will come back for sure.

Great place with great ambiance

Excellent last minute stop. Staff super friendly and helpful and room was cozy. Easy to park. Close to restaurants.  Priced right. A bit chilly in the room but plenty of extra blankets so I slept really well. 

Needed to stop due to bad weather. 

I stayed here for one night and it was such a great place. Very clean and comfortable. My room had a bathroom down the hall but it was very clean. Included breakfast. Highly recommend this as an affordable option in Girdwood.

Cute Place to Stay

Stayed for one night and absolutely loved it.  The reviews were spot on! It was super clean and very comfortable.  We loved the breakfast in the morning and the woman that checked us in was very friendly.  It was only her first or second night on her own, but she made certain to cover all the required information with us.  We would definitely stay again.
