My husband and I were recent guests at the Regency Inn in Gladewater, Texas for three (3) nights.  

As frequent travelers we treasure outstanding  accommodations.  

We booked our stay at the Regency Inn one week prior to our arrival.  

The office manager greeted us with exuberant hospitality, as did the housekeeper and staff. The exceptional cleanliness of the lobby, room, parking lot, the entire site,  is 'absolutely impressive'.

The Regency Inn accommodations are immaculate, roomy, comfortable, well planned.

We will, no doubt, book upcoming stays at the REGENCY INN for our next visits with friends and family in Gladewater, Texas.

I mean, it's not the greatest place in the world, but it gets the job done. It's easy to get to, a few amenities within a 1/4 mi. (gas station/convenience store, McDonalds). Room was relatively clean, no complaints there. Bathroom was a bit dirty. Comically, the lack of towels that folks mention is a legit thing, lol - anyhow, hang 'em up because you're probably not getting any more. Manager was, as some have mentioned, a bit odd and rude. I think he lacks those sympathy/empathy genes. Pets are allowed but it's $10/day (plus taxes). Anyhow, it's okay, not great, gets the job done.

Middle of the road, slightly below average.

First of all my son had to pay $79 when it said $60 online. The owner was the one that checked us in at front desk. In the morning I asked for towels because there were 5 of us (which I had to pay $10 extra for) and only two towels in the room. He called my room and told me to come and get the towels!! I went to get towels and told the owner that bathroom light did not work. I needed to stay at a motel with a pool so the kids (three of them) would have something to do besides sit in a room staring at a TV. I had decided to stay there for a week because it was the closest motel to where we needed to be that had a pool. I called and told the owner that we were staying at around 10 am. He called me repeatedly to come and pay. I told him I would come and pay shortly but I needed to finish some work I was in the middle of. I told him he could come get my debit card if he wanted. He said, "No credit card! I want cash!" I said well I only have the debit card on me if you want cash you have to wait until my son gets back from doing a job in about two hours. About 30 min later, a knock on the door was owner to get my card and my drivers license to hold until I could go get cash from ATM. He didn't come to fix the light or bring towels or anything. My son came back and said I was gonna jump in the pool to cool off but the pool has green water! We can't stay here if there's no pool!! I didn't notice last night when we got here, it was dark and the owner did not say it was out of service when I checked in! Guests should be informed of advertised amenities that are not available even if temporarily unavailable. I went to tell the owner we were leaving and get my card and license back. The owner handed me the credit card slip to sign. He charged my card for the week. I said, "We changed our mind. We need a place with a pool and yours is green. Why didn't you tell us the pool was closed?" He said, "You didn't ask." He then refused to cancel the charge and give me my debit card and license back!! After the police came, he said check out was at 11am and it was now 1 pm and he wanted $20 for the extra time I was in the room. I gave him $20 so he would give me my card and license back and void the transaction. It has been 5 days and the amount is still pending!!!

NOT TOLD POOL WAS CLOSED! OWNER IS RUDE AND INHOSPITABLE!

Woke up to my feet covered in bites after sleeping in a smoking room. Slept under sheets. Don't know what caused it, but the general cleanliness of the room and the type of occupants who go there make me worried about bedbugs. Spraying down suitcases with rubbing alcohol can help prevent any spread to your own house!!

The floors were "wood" and dirty. My feet turned black after leaving the shower. Water pressure "ok". Toiletries bad. Towels small. A/C severely outdated. Door doesn't seal shut, a nice little stream of sunlight through the crack in the door woke me up. No tub stopper in the bathroom. TV/ cable was good. Sink counter nicely updated and spacious. Old beer bottle caps left under bed. Cigarette holes in bed and chair - but that's acceptable to me in a smoking room.

Honestly it wasn't the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but it was not worth the price and the possibility of bed bugs!!! I really wonder what chowed down on my feet while I was sleeping!

Shower didn't work, door missing from bath/shower area. General condition of the room was lass than average. They were the only game in town with a smoking downstairs room so we took it. Not again. Foreign owners.

Nasty Place

The rooms were dirty,crumbs on the carpet,a lot of hair on the bathroom floor.Shades on lights were torn and tattered.The hardest beds and the box springs were really dirty.When you turn on the water it sounds like a shrill trumpet.My son stayed in another room that was just as bad.Holes in carpet,the couch had stains all over it and so did the bed spreads.All I can say is stay in Longview instead as their hotels are so much better.
