Older hotel but a clean quiet room.  The staff was very friendly and nice. We stayed for 2 nights and would stay again if we were in the area.  The parking was right outside the door and made the loading and unloading easier. Beautiful country side. 

Great experience in small town 

This is an older motel, so the styling could be a bit updated.
But you know what? It is clean, beds are comfortable, it has a working TV, refrigerator (you may have to plug it in) and coffee machine. It has everything you need and it works.
The lady in the front office recognized us after many months (and before checking the computer).
And it is cheaper than many other motels/hotels.
Disclaimer though - we never stated at the other motel in Glennville.

Clean and comfortable

We stopped in on our Big 2022 Road Trip. We reserved in advance and weren't sure what to expect, but the Cheerio exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and friendliness. We love staying at good clean older mom n' pop motels, and this one is exemplary. A big clean comfortable room, nice folks, and a restful stay. Would recommend to others and we'd gladly stay again.

Cheerio cheered us greatly

Over ten years ago I stopped here enroute to Jacksonville, FL based on a recommendation by the GA Welcome Center. I remembered it being good. I stopped again last week as I had business nearby. It is still a very good place. I parked at the door of my spotlessly clean room. Excellent wi fi and cable television, near several restaurants on well kept up grounds. The owner is very friendly. Real cool (but small) bathrooms have tile designs from the 1950s---also very clean. Very reasonable prices.  Felt safe here.

Ten Years Later

A Gem!!  What a pleasant stay.  Room was very clean and comfortable.  Owners were very helpful

and friendly.   Outside area was clean and well designed.  Also the entire motel was quiet.  We definitely will stay there again and would highly recommend this motel to anyone interested in a clean, quiet, friendly place to stay.  We stayed two nights.  To the owners, thank you!  Newer motels could do well to model their motel after the cleanliness of this motel.

Wish More Motels Like This Existed!

Needed an inexpensive place to stay for the night, and chose this place.  It was clean and well kept, old school type of motor lodge from days gone by, where you pull up to your door, but that was fine.  Quiet and my room was very large and spacious,with a nice bathroom too.  $55 is a really good price.

Good stay for the price!

I stayed here for two weeks while on business. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the stay pleasant overall. The open area in the center was also a nice touch. I would definitely recommend it overall.

A Nice Experience

I have stayed at the Cheerio several times over the past couple of years, mainly due to Hurricane evacuations. The owners are nice, but our room was horrible. Old, musty, strong carpet deodorant smell, no upgrades that people are talking about. the grounds are fine and they have lots of parking. Its a last resort type of place. Bathroom was super old and needed a cleaning, mattress was deeply worn.

Very Strange reviews

I spent a week in this wonderful property and I truly enjoyed the experience. I felt like I was transported back into the golden age of automobile travel. The property is generous in size and very well maintained. The room has plenty of space with HUGE parking right in front of each room. The room is also spacious, and the tub is the old fashioned size that invites you to soak. I needed the desk, refrigerator, and microwave, and I enjoyed the quiet surroundings. This may be the cleanest motel I have ever experienced!

The family that owns this motel is absolutely fantastic! Their kindness will be appreciated by all travelers fortunate enough to stay in this family friendly property.

Well maintained nostalgia!

I stop here as it is half way to Charlotte, NC from where I live.  It is always clean, quiet and comfortable.  Great wifi, good TV, etc.  Very friendly management.  Grounds and building in great shape.  An extremely well kept older motel.
