Reasonable hotel convenient for the town and highway.

A few issues. Just three thin pillows on the bed - which is a strange number for two people. Bed was uncomfortable. Quite a noisy hotel - it seemed that we could hear all the other guests. 

The main irritation for us was the cleaner entering our room unannounced at 8.00 am and again at 9.00 am. We weren’t due to check out until 11.00 so this was annoying! 

Very little interaction with the owner so hard to know if they care at all.

Cleaners entered room twice

Worst place to stay!!!! No amenities, no service, no ice, no nice towels, no access to rooms on last day, nobody on duty, no safety, and no good. Worst place I’ve stayed in 33 years of travel. Keys to the room did not work well and they lock you out on the last day so make sure you don’t close the door until you get all your belongings. Nobody will be at the office to open your door.

Bypass this place

Well, it was clean and the AC was reasonably quiet.
Location just west of Glenwood Springs was fine as we didn't have to fight hordes of people.
If you are going to stay there bring your own bar of soap....the ones provided are about the size of a stick of chewing gum folded in half.
Don't expect the " breakfast included"....there was none. Sign in the breakfast area said 6:00 am to 9:00 am....well there was nothing put out nor was there a desk clerk. Unless 6:00 really meant sometime after 7:00 am we left after my wife came down.  I don't often write negative reviews and as stated at the beginning there are some positives...but little things do matter.


Bring your own bar of soap and don't count on breakfast 

This place was so bad we were willing to take the loss and left to rent a room at another hotel. The hotel is old and still uses keys instead of key cards (just to give you the idea of the kind of updating that hasn't been done. It's in a questionable neighborhood near railroad tracks. The owner was extremely rude! The mattresses were obviously old and uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you're ok staying in a dumpy, old hotel run by unpleasant management!

Old hotel with rude owner...stay somewhere else!

Stopped here after a late night of driving. Hotel clerk was super nice. Hotel is old and outdated. But it is very clean and neat. Very cozy. Rooms although outdated were clean and well furnished. Decorated nicely. Bathroom is very small, shower/tub didn’t drain well. Beds were a little hard for my liking. But they do provide an extra blanket on the bed which is nice. Overall a good place to stay and would recommend to others.

Good place

We came in late at night without a reservation and the guy at the front desk still gave us a room. It was clean and exceeded our expectations. It's getting harder and harder to find nice and clean hotels at a reasonable price.

Clean and affordable

We travell all over...and seldom leave reviews.  Wowsers, this is unbelievable,..off of Silt  I 70 ramp...on North Side of I 70.  Red River Inn, best beds, really.  We were not planning on staying and headed to Glenwood Springs, CO...knowing we would pay in Glenwood Springs,  $140 to $225 for a night... Being tired we stopped at ths clean motel..from the outside... The rooms were VERY clean, and smelled great....  WE stayed and You should too!

SILT, CO RED RIVER INN...CLEAN, BEST BEDS, WOWSERS!

Red River Inn is just off the highway and easy to get to.  Check in was easy and the room was very good.  Stay on the second floor as it's true for all hotels, people above you may have heavy feet.  Room was clean and the beds very comfortable.  People are very friendly.  Morning cereal and pastries filled up this traveller.

excellent place to spend the night

We searched for a hotel while driving and decided to stay in this basic roadside hotel catering to travellers. Parking is limited but it is close to highway. The interior does not provide much confident, as the stairs creak as you walk on it and the carpet look pretty worn out. The room itself is very large, but one can see the ceiling paint peeling off. It does have fridge, microwave and usually toiletries. There was also very limited plug-in by bedsides.  We did have a surprising good night sleep as the small air conditioner was very effective and easier to adjust than the larger ones usually found in other hotels. Breakfast, however, was dismal. Two type of pastries, two type of cereals, two types of fruits. They did not refill anything at 0830. It is not bad for the price and short stay, just keep expectation low.

The Price is Right

I-70 was closed due to a mudslide, and we were unaware at the time. The staff called us to confirm if we were going to be able to make it do to the mudslide. Obviously we were not, so we were able to cancel with them. They were very kind and helpful. She really went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of for the night, even though we didn't even stay with her. 
I would definitely book with them in the future.
