This is a perfect hotel for the Missions of Goliad bike ride as it is just a couple of blocks away from the main square and easily bikable to event. The room is clean but if you are used to many hotel amenities then not for you. This is very basic hotel of long ago, which for overnight to do a bike ride is perfect.  The staff was very nice.

This was definitely in the top 5 of the worst places I have ever had that unfortunate opportunity to stay at.  That being said, I always like to try to find something good to say about any place I review, so:  the beds were very firm, but OK.  There was a mini-fridge as well as a microwave, and they both worked nicely.  Oh, and they do have free WI-fi. Now, on to the rest.  Be cautioned about staying anyplace where the customers are completely separated from the staff by an on-so-welcoming piece of plate glass.  At check-in, you need to pick up a phone to talk to the person on the other side.  Your metal key, change and receipt are then passed through a very narrow metal opening at the bottom.  I did not feel welcomed or safe, either one.

The room was large enough, though very dark and dank...had a strange odor when you went inside, even though the room was nominally non-smoking.  The bathroom was divided, with a sink both outside of and inside the primary bathing area.  The outside sink/closet part of the room had a light with a very loud fan.  If you wanted the light, and you definitely wanted the light if you wanted to see anything when coming in from the outside in full daylight, then you had to have the fan on too.  This made it very hard to hear the television.  The bathtub had no hand-rail or any kind of anti-slip surface, so it was scary to use.  The shower head looked new and pleasing, but it was so heavy, you could not keep it in place while you were showering.  

The pillows were beyond flat and hard.  My main problem with the room was that the door did not fit properly, so the deadbolt would not engage.  There was a place for another safety mechanism at the top of the door, but it was broken off.  Someone did try to get in to the room in the middle of the night, but I had jammed a chair under the door knob.  Since there was no chance we were ever coming back to stay in this motel, I did not even bother mentioning this little issue upon check-out.

Understand that I am not a fan of over paying for anything.  I have slept in plenty of motels in this price range and, hardly ever, had so many issues.  The town was completely sold out for the Cinco de Mayo celebration, so our choices were non-existent at this time.  My advice is, if you want a cheap place to stay and bring your own security device to secure under the door knob, this might be the place for you.  Otherwise, travel a few miles down the road to Victoria where there are plenty of inexpensive options of places to to stay

Family reunion weekend

We thought we recognized a chain hotel we recognized. We will remember this one and any others by this name. We arrived late afternoon. Had to ring to wake the manager. Rates were okay, but there were no amenities. Room was filthy. We were afraid we would catch something even placing our luggage. Towel bar broken. Mold all around the shower. Lighting was worse than inadequate. Went to get Wi-Fi activated. I could reach the server, but not into the internet. Went to the manager. No help. Breakfast was cereal in dispenser and a gallon of milk.

The management doesn't care

Pleasant atmosphere and quiet, had plenty of time to relax.and get some much needed rest and work accomplished! Great location, courteous staff and rooms were very pleasing and spacious. We will stay again at this Executive Inn and Suites in Goliad.

This is a clean and well-kept older motel.  Nothing fancy, no coffee in the room, but it is neat and tidy and the owners are friendly.  Beds are comfortable. Great value at $55 a night.

Wi-Fi is amazingly fast, over 15 mg/sec.

Both non-smoking and smoking rooms are available.

All in all, excellent for its category (a 2 star motel).
