Stopped on way to Colorado.  It's only 17 miles from the border so it was a good location.  The room was clean but not spotless - some residual dirt on the floor (however, this is Western Kansas where the wind blows so probably due to that).  The room rate was good but not exceptional for this level hotel (about $100 before tax).  Beds were comfortable and the room fairly quite (except for the ubiquitous wall HVAC unit which stayed on all night whether it needed to or not).  One negative - breakfast buffet was the typical assortment but the scrambled eggs and sausage were STONE COLD  (think they forgot to turn on the warmer burner).

I pulled in late at night when skies weren’t blue
close to midnight and no clerk at the check in desk queue

and so i had to ring the bell and pretty soon the woman was in front of me
troubles melted like lemon drops i carry bag cause no bellhops yet in the lobby

water, coffee and tea yet no pastry
only food at the breakfast and yes of course its free!

Good thing, cause for this location is pricey!
cause out in the boondockers choices are less then three
long narrow hallway is all of this property
i forget if there was a elevator for me

and so i walked along the hall and finally i open door to greet me
surprising large and spacious room, so clean and spotless hear the ting of a-men-i-ties

out here in kansas tv not much to watch so i

flip through endless channels all i see
televangelists claiming god needs money
just when this city boy thinks ‘where not in
kansas anymore’ i check google maps and grin!

yet right before i doze away the only channel of array not playing
gods wrath or our righteous path but rather john candy in summer rental saying:

“did you see the one where papa smurf took
his crutch __” ill stop there if you never saw it read the book.

nice size pool for morning swim then surprise!
i travel solo but on this trip i feast my eyes

as i hop in the hot tub i meet a new friend i named him peet beside me
mr cockroach he swam freely against the strong jets up my knee; as big as the key!

i walked in solo but walked out now a group of two

I stayed here twice this year. Nick remembered my family and has always treated us extremely well.  All of the rooms either have or are in process of being renovated and remodeled.  There is NEW extremely comfortable mattresses in every room.  Rooms are very clean. I always examine hotel rooms very thoroughly after a bad experience with another hotel having bed bugs.  THIS HOTEL IS SO CLEAN! I HAVE NO HESITATION ABOUT STAYING HERE. When I heard that I was going to be traveling through, I automatically booked my room here.  I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars but it only lets me do 5.

Reliving memories 

Nice friendly service. When checking in there was an error with the corporation side of the computer. Nick was very patient with us, the computer system and the credit card company.  When we asked for extra towels or water Nick made sure we were taken care of. The breakfast room was clean and they tried to keep things mixed up a bit.  Was hoping for mixed fruit but my husband was happy with his fruit loops.   Thank you for your nice service, friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to staying with you in our next trip out

Nice Hotel for price and comfort

Worst experience I had trying to check into a hotel as our car broke down. Manager not only priced room not in line with advertised rates, but upon my raising the issue, told me to leave, refused to rent me a room at his original rate, was rude and uncooperative stating : I am the manager and have no one I report to so leave and check in elsewhere. I left with no help after I asked for him to write his name. Complaint is registered with Choice Hotels and BBB is next as well as any form of communications warning innocent travelers what to expect from this particular hotel in Goodland, Kansas. Shame

Where not to stay. Quality inn, Goodland, Kansas.

This is an ok hotel. We had an emergency and ended up needing an inexpensive room at the end of our roadtrip.  It's kind of dingy (stains on the curtains and chairs), there was soapscum on the faucets in the bathroom, and the breakfast eggs were super watery. But, the staff was very friendly, the bed was clean, and it was affordable for the quick stay. I wouldn't spend more than a night there again, but it worked for what we needed it for, and we were glad to have it.

Ok for our unexpected stay

Cloudy weather in Kansas best place to stay Quality Inn under New Management, Indoor heated Tub with pool  was the attraction in cold weather. Price is now better for including free huge breakfast that is worth for to stay.

We stayed here on our way to Denver . We were so impressed with the lady who checked us in and saw to our needs.  When our remote on the tv wouldn't work, she came right in and explained that the previous guest had taken the remote and this was a replacement.  She said she would have to re-program it and my thought was "Oh,no.  That won't happen." But she was very quick and had it re-programed in no time.  She found a shower chair for us to use, which was much appreciated.  The showers are wheelchair accessible, but there is no bench.  After we left, we discovered we left our cane in the room. We called back and they saved it for us at the front desk until our return trip.  

Service was great!

Stayed one night on a road trip. For dog friendly you get really nice or not so nice. This is not so nice. Bathroom showing some mold. Husband had a low pressure shower, I didn’t bother as didn’t look so clean.  The morning front manager rudely accosted my husband as he returned from an early morning walk with the dog. We specifically booked this hotel because it is dog friendly. She demanded our room number and shouted that she was charging us extra. RUDE. Never stay here again!
