The front desk staff was not very helpful. The studio we stayed in was not clean, they have induction stove top that had food caked on it - there were ants.

It was way over priced for what we got - but, it is one of the few places in the Grand Canyon that accepts dogs.

Not so great for a lot of money

Canyon Plaza apartments couldn't be a better experience for Grand Canyon visits, especially if traveling with a pet. We enjoyed three nights there and loved walking the one mile to the town of Tusayan and very nice shops, though pricy. Our studio was so well furnished. Though not that big it had everything we needed and we could sleep,  prepare meals, dine and relax in complete comfort. One of our dogs spent hours gazing at the nice view from our welcome balcony. There is a wonderful trail on a beautiful wooded hillside behind the hotel that is perfect for walking dogs. If you push just past the trail end through a parking lot, you are at the IMAX theater and Grand Canyon visitor center, a good little shortcut to town!

Excellent dog friendly base for Grand Canyon adventures

There appears to be a variety of accommodations here. We stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. It was pricey (tourist area) but clean and comfortable. Nice beds. Good showers. We would stay there again. It's close to grand canyon entrance. Nice trip

Nice spot

A perfect place to stay when visiting the Grand Canyon. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge and very clean. The kitchen was well laid out and had everything necessary to cook all meals. Unfortunately, we encountered some heavy rains on our visit but this apartment provided a cozy place to wait out the weather.

Cozy place to stay

As there are not plenty of places to dine in Tusayan, we picked up some groceries prior to our arrival with intentions to cook some meals in our apartment.  Although a full kitchen, no toaster, coffee pot, basic condiments, or sufficient utensils. We drank wine out of coffe mugs, we improvised with a knife to get the cork out of the bottle. A single dose coffee maker with one pod of caffeinated coffe for two adults...really! We have stayed in many apartments  in our travels domestically and internationally, this was the most disappointing.  Who packs such necessities when traveling thousands of miles in a luggage..you expect them to be there. For the price, not what we expected.  On the plus side..close to national park entrance, clean, quiet and nice hot shower

Just a place to sleep

We chose this property for it’s proximity to the Grand Canyon National Park and because it was great value for our party of 6. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and clean with living area, open plan kitchen and dining area and 2 bathrooms. There were 2 extra beds already made up for us. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Set in a peaceful location and a short drive to restaurants and grocery store. Perfect for an overnight stay.

Great apartment close to Grand Canyon National Park

We decided to have a condo type lodging while visiting Grand Canyon for 3 days. How disappointed we are when we look through the cabinets looking for decent glasses but found only two unmatched glasses. Further more, the cooking pots and pans are so limited that we can’t help thinking that they don’t want you to come. Everything spells out “don’t come”. So unfriendly. And they have the nerve charging $277 a night.

Over priced. Poor amenities. Big disappointment.

We rented the 2 bedroom apartment for two couples. It was very spacious with full kitchen, dining area, living room, nice deck with furniture for dining and two bedrooms and two baths. #1 bedroom was a suite style, had a very comfortable king bed, bathroom and huge closet. #2 had queen bed and bath just across the hall. This was a great place to have for our hub for all there is to do at the Grand Canyon. We felt it was a great value considering the room was much larger than the average hotel/motel and had a full kitchen. Very clean, friendly staff. 
We had one dinner at the hotel restaurant. I had the buffet, which was better than the average buffet. The room became packed with several bus loads of Japanese travelers. Interesting to see their American food experience... The buffet seems like a good idea.

Great large condo type apartment. Located off site

Planned an overnight stay at the apartments in order to have breakfast in before setting out for the day at the canyon. We got our key at the main hotel, drove over to the apartment to put all of our gear food clothes etc into the room before dinner. As soon as we entered, we noticed the carpet was damp, and the other flooring was sticky. While putting food in the fridge, looked for a trash can, it was under the sink and full of the last guests’ trash. 
Pretty grossed out but continue on getting ready for dinner reservations in the park. As we exited for the night, we realized the door does not lock, from the inside or the outside. Here’s the real issue- when I called about the door not locking, the front desk clerk said ‘I can send maintenance down, but we are fully booked, so if you are unhappy you will need to find another place to stay’. Is this hospitality? We took everything back out of the room, went to dinner and tried to put it out of our minds. When we came back, a different desk person said it was fine, just need to lock it with the key before closing it because it had been tampered with by a guest who lost their key(?). I expressed my disappointment with the way I had been spoken to on the phone and he just said ‘sorry’. We slept in our clothes, got up at 5 am and left for the south rim. It’s really not so much the issues as it is the way they were ‘handled’. these people don’t really care about guest relations. There will be another weary traveler the next day.

Find another place to stay

Came in very tired after a long drive, and we didn't felt welcome at all at checkin.  at a point we didn't want to stay the night. we didn't had any else to stay so we decided to just spend one night here.
