The lakeside room had an amazing view. We spent hours just looking at it. The hotel was super quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a great stay and well above expectations. 

Well Above Expectations

I just got back from a two-night stay at the Shoreline Inn. We had a comfortable room and good, accommodating  service from the staff. Shoreline Inn is located, as its name indicates, right on the shore. The pictures on Expedia and TripAdvisor are very accurate, and just about all of the main attractions, restaurants, shops, etc are short walk from the hotel.

Great Location!

We were lucky enough to find this hotel for our annual trek up the North Shore. It’s lovely, warm and welcoming. And it sits right on Lake Superior. The patio is fabulous as you sit right on the water. Because of beautiful weather we enjoyed sitting out there for our own happy hour and met some really interesting people with whom we ended up going to dinner with! Such fun! The staff is excellent and accommodating. This place is a jewel and I can’t wait to go back!

Fall visit to the Big Lake

Wanting to never leave. Staff is beyond great! Accommodations are everything you need right at your fingertips. This place is not "new" to the area, Everything is in top notch shape. I am impressed with the amount of ease it was for a newcomer like me to check in, learn where to go for food, be greeted by name the next morning. Beds are comfortable slept like a baby. Can't wait to get back there!

A home away from home

We went up for our Anniversary and were wowed by the view from the room (Last one, first floor, lakeside). Very clean, strong water pressure in shower/tub. Very quiet; unable to hear the bathroom fan in the bedroom area if the door was closed. Big plus for me! Enjoyed the available Keurig coffeemaker, although we brought our own pods, because we are coffee snobs.  Most places were closed, because, winter/Monday. Would stay here again. The owners are very accommodating, and live onsite. There is a firepit, but looks like it's only used in warmer weather. 

Enchanting.

The bathroom fan was very noisy. We were pleasantly surprised to have breakfast all day long. Plus it was good! Our room needed a carpet shampooing, but we will be back 
next year because the staff and lake view are great. The property is convenient to restaurants and shops.

Good stay

We enjoy staying at this smaller hotel but if you are looking for all the amenities chose another hotel. The view out the back patio is wonderful. It is peaceful and quiet. You can walk along the beach behind the hotel. There is no elevator in the hotel. They have continental breakfast. The staff is wonderful and friendly. There are refrigerators in the rooms but no microwave or coffee pot. Microwave, coffee and tea station downstairs which was nice and available 24/7.

Great views

Nice place, enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, nice staff. Quiet for sleeping and cozy for meeting and visiting with new acquaintances. Plan on many return trips and longer stays. Staff helpful on restaurant selection.

Tourists

It is an older hotel but the service was wonderful. They have replaced all the carpet. The rooms are nice size and there is a refrigerator. There is no ac but there is a fan. The view of the lake is amazing. Coffee on the deck watching the sunrise was amazing. Nice breakfast choices all prepackaged, because of covid. It’s a great location to walk to restaurants snd stores. Good value for the dollar

Great view and value

The Shoreline Inn might be a bit older of a hotel, but it’s a great gem. The bedroom is large, the bed is comfortable, and you cannot best the location. A stone’s throw away from downtown and the bay. The price is great, too. Very clean,friendly, and again...the location is fab.
