We stayed here as a last-minute change of plans, and we are very happy we did! The Inn is an older building and not on the waterfront. It is obviously well-maintained and our room was spotless. The bedroom was in the back and wonderfully quiet; the kitchenette (which we didn’t use) had a small fridge, oven/stove, sink with new sprayer faucet and a variety of clean utensils and linens. It would be a perfect, affordable place to stay with a small family. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful overnight stay!

A cute, quaint little apartment with a little kitchen area on the side of the living room. Very clean, nice big closet, and bedroom in the back, so you don't hear much. You just pick up your key at the front box and go to your room. They had pans and utensils for cooking, we used them and cleaned them and put them all back in a nice cabinet. Couch was sort of old and baggy, but we didn't use that. Had a nice little table we could move around for eating and laptop work. Good internet. All on one level so easy to enter.

A cute, quaint, romantic little place to stay

An all around AWESOME hotel but the best part was how accommodating they were since we needed an early check in they got us in earlier than expected clean spacious loved having a kitchenette and front room and bedroom bed was super comfortable great location right in the center of all the action that TC has to offer will definitely stay there next time

This trip was last minute, labor day weekend and needed a pet friendly lodging.  
When we arrived,  the lady was nice, professional,  upfront with the rules for pets ,hours of the pool and when she will be leaving that night.  Also was able to check in early.   Office was cleaned,  landscaping was ok, but needs improvement ( back area around the building).  Our room was very clean, but upstairs room, which the King bed was a little musty smelling do to the AC being old.  The stairs were little  steep for us.  Kitchen was good, no counter,  but had a table.  Beds were not what we are custom too.
Dogs approved!  The pool & laundry were nice.

Last minute Labor Day weekend

Cute place, hidden gem and great price in traverse city. So kind and will definitely come back. Loved the location and space. Great for our family of four.. thank you! We even decided to stay another night!

Hidden gem!

My wife, Lisa, and I went to Traverse City, Michigan on the 9th due to a death in the family. While there Lisa became very sick and went into the hospital. Instead of coming home on the 13th as originally scheduled, we finally made it home today, on the 24th. I'd like everyone to know that the Traverse Bay Inn, on North US 31 highway, in Traverse City, went out of their way to accommodate our needs and extend our booking to the 24th, so I'd have someplace to sleep while Lisa was in the hospital.

Very helpful people.

The room was clean, decent location. They forgot to leave extra toilet paper in the room, the coffee drinks for purchase were expired by a few months. But the staff was pleasant and fixed everything quickly. Traverse City can be a pricey getaway. You get what you pay for  :)

One night stay

Maybe it was because of the holiday weekend but I thought the rates were very high for the quality of the room. The bed was not comfortable. We had to hang towels in the closet because there was only one hook in the bathroom. The room seemed pretty clean which was something.

We only got one coffee package for a 4 night stay. They don’t do mid stay cleaning, which is understandable in COVID, but they could stock the rooms better in the first place. Instead, you have to ask for extra soap, TP, etc. We had to visit due to a family emergency in town so our choices were limited. Given other choices I doubt we’d return.

Over priced for quality 

We stayed here for two nights in August 2021. The number one thing that would have made this place better would have been a dehumidifier. The place was so closed up and damp it smelled and never dried out, no matter how much we ran the air conditioner. Layout was nice for our family of 4 with the bedroom upstairs with two full beds for the kids.  (Room 112). Bathroom was tiny and hard to “get ready in” -it needed a shelf and more hooks to make it functional. It had one of those pedestal sinks you can’t sit anything on. This place has tons if closet space, but we didn’t need it for a two night stay. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful, the kids appreciated the outdoor pool. 
Bedding needs to be upgraded. Stains on our beds left a yucky feeling in me even after they brought me fresh bedding -it still had stains, but it did smell clean. Wasn’t going to even leave a review but for the price we paid and reviews here, I expected better.

Disappointed. Had potential but didn’t live up to the reviews.

Loved this stay - wish it were longer.  The rooms are spotless and the upstairs and main bedrooms (with TV in each) would be perfect for traveling couples or families.  Even the pool was crystal clear and inviting.   Being pet friendly we did not expect the cleanliness.  It was far better than any non pet rooms we’ve stayed in other places.   The setting is lovely.
