This motel was horrible, unsanitary, nothing was clean. Towels were really really bad, covered in stains. The shower had no pressure and when turned on only cold water came out. Toilet wouldn't flush properly. The blankets had burn holes and it was a non smoking room? The air conditioner was so loud it was unbearable. I wouldn't recommend this motel to an enemy. Seriously disappointing for almost $80 a night!

Filthy!

My son and I were on a motorcycle trip and decided to end the day in Grants Pass without checking on hotel availability.  Turned out there was a big concert in the area and there was one room left in the area.  We had camping equipment but there were no campgrounds in the area and with the sun setting we decided to pay the high price at the Sunset Inn.  The room was OK and could be considered adequate at the regular price.  There was a restaurant nearby so that worked out.  Not much in the way of breakfast items but there were some.

OK Place

The rooms were spacious and very accessible since we were able to get ground floor rooms but perhaps because of the color scheme, everything looked old and in need of some sprucing up. Since I did not book and pay for the rooms, I’m not sure if it’s a case of you get what you pay for but if ever I’m in the area again, I would try out a different place.

Old Fashioned Motel 

I had been driving all day. I am a traveler. Got to the hotel about 1 pm. Some hotels are okay with that. Some are not. I took a shot. The front desk clerk flipped out that I was there before 3 pm. He just needed to say come back at 3 pm. There was no need for yelling. So I went and got Chinese. Came back at 3 pm. Gave him both me and my significant others id's. Then I said we have a dog. He got very upset. I said your hotel says dog friendly and it is in my notes of the reservation. I had to show him where. Then he gave us our room keys. Normally I would just go stay somewhere else but I was so tired. Then about 9 pm my employee shows up. The manager of the hotel without even speaking to me flips out and starts screaming he can't stay here. What no one said he was. He has questions about his job and the boss is here. What? This is insane. He called the cops. All kinds of drama. Fumny. We went to motel 6 where they were glad to have my business. They even let me use their printer to print stuff. It was a better choice than crack land USA!! 

The room had lots of dirty spots on the walls. The hotel managment lives in the pool house. The bathrooms gross. No nice smoking area. Managment angry all thr time?? Air conditioning needing repair. Window in the shower. Omg!!

The main office door is always locked. Day and night. No one ever mans the office. You have to go to the pool house to get assistance. The live in junky got us service. Managment is always in his appartment in the pool house. If you want to enjoy your business trip or vacation don't stay here!!!

Wifi sucked. Could not get work reports to load. No business center for printing or faxing.

Worst hotel ever!!

I am a seasoned traveler. As with most independent budget motels everything here is cheap and/or old. Honestly, I can't figure out where they find such tiny bars of soap or thin towels. I am ok with all that but I am not ok with poorly functioning plumbing and bugs. Killed about two dozen small bugs in bathroom and sink and one big one crawling up the fridge door. Neither the toilet nor the shower worked when I checked in! Doesn't anyone check these things? Do they care?
Been there two days now, toilet was repaired promptly, not yet on the shower. Also, no maid nor no clean towels yet...

Bugs, Bad plumbing and no maid service

I left in tears he was yelling at me and swearing , I am not at all racist but I had a really hard time understanding anything he said especially once he started yelling. His mother (I believe) just stood and watched and when I asked her to go check the room he told her to shh. Pretty blatant disrespect for women it seems because once I came out in tears and anger to my partner, he went in and exchanged some words and the guy came running out telling me to come in for my deposit back. He ended up keeping $30 of it, and the whole discrepancy was that the room was "dirty". We literally put blankets on top of the absolutely disgustingly stained blankets on the bed and used our own pillows. I cleaned the room very well because I had a feeling he was going to try to keep the deposit. I paid for a dog room and his reason was that the counters were dirty and there was dog hair on the floor. 
...I'm sorry but didn't I pay for a dog room and your job is to vacuum every room after every guest anyways is it not? He wanted to keep my full $100 cash deposit over this reason only. Also it was really strange they watched me every time I was outside of the room, like just blatantly stared at my every movement. Never would I ever recommend this place, also somehow taxes were $30 which seems crazy

Worst hotel manager ever

Honestly, this is not an expensive place to stay - but has everything for basic needs.  One block back is a nice neighborhood to walk in and you can even hoof it downtown if you're energetic.  It was quiet and felt safe.
