This was a dirty, unkept place in need of repair. Looks deserted! Make shift outside sign. Unfinished repairs throughout the place. 1st floor looks inhabited. Water stains in ceilings. Only 2nd floor rooms seem available which are only accessible via stairs. Bathrooms dirty and old. (brought my own disinfectant cloths to wipe stuff). Rooms dirty with dead bugs, unclean bathroom and rugs. Tub was not working and clogged with water. Told manager about it and he said they repair it but stand towards the front of tub! It pooled water still! Made sure we asked for clean sheets because found hair in sheets. Paper thin walls. Wide gap under door. We did not leave anything in room when we went on our day excursions because hotel looked very unsafe and creepy with questionable people in and out of place. Could not wait to get home to shower! Breakfast was old looking bagels and juice. Room numbers are printed on paper and taped on doors, do not stay here. Do not spend your money here. Would give negative negative stars if it was a rating. Awful!

Unkept Dirty Hotel in Disrepair

Not going to lie...was very nervous after reading some of the reviews. But honestly, not bad for the price. We booked that day. Last min change of plans. Didn’t want to spend a ton of money. It is in the process of being renovated. However, all of the furniture, bed and air conditioning is new. The whole 1st floor is currently being renovated. So everyone was booked on the 2nd floor. Walls are a little thin but was very happy with the stay.

Not bad for the price

I had a long day of traveling and I pulled into the parking lot and I was on my phone booking a room. The manager came out and started screaming at me that it was private property and I needed to leave. I Told him to Get away from me and leave me alone. I am a female alone in my car and he is in my face screaming at me that it’s private property even though I was booking a room. He went back in and I continued searching. We all know we can get better prices online… He then came out again and told me I better ?!?!! leave or he was calling the ?!?! cops. I explained to him I was going to book a room until he started screaming at me like a maniac.  Even though there wasn’t one car in the whole parking lot he told me to leave that he didn’t want me to book a room there. What kind of a man screams at a woman in her car alone?

Manager is bipolar and needs to be fired.

Arriving, people lined up, one unsettled man working alone. Took half hour per guest for sign in.Human services Connecticut should be called to ensure the gentlemen is not being misused due to his circumstances. He seemed confused and over worked. He had to call for help, two men showed up, said nothing, just smiled. People were complaining of dirty rooms and filth. Got our room, two day stay. Drove 81/2 hours from Canada. Lucky took Lysol wipes, used them all to clean bathroom(dark yellow urine on toilet), table and TV and dresser(stains and spots) light switches(dusty and grim), wiped rods for curtains(so to open), wiped down window ledge and anything else we may touch At least 6 inches of dirt all around base boards in room and behind bed.Never heard a vacuum for the 3 days. Turned on sick after wiping with Lysol, dark yellow water. Let run both sink and shower and wiped areas. Used shampoo bottles and used soap, no new and no towels. Did request new towels and received. The breakfast room was disgusting. Full garbage cans(large) in hall and breakfast room even when we left at 10 am. Tables still had dirt and crumbs from the morning before and now worse :(  Little food, little juice or other. They only left a few coffee cups, as if they hoped no one would drink or eat there. Enough for a couple people only and the hotel was booked New Years Eve. The last day I ventured to open up drawers and cupboards in the breakfast room(we did not eat anything in there), found lots of mice droppings, dead bugs! Third world behavior and not a customer based place at all. For $130.00 CA a night it was nasty. We brought our own cleaning supplies and blankets after trying to get a hold of someone the day before we left, that was a sign! No holiday decorating, dead plants in the lobby, full garbage cans,old dirty worn leaflets, dirty lobby furniture and counters, staff with no shoes and one person doing all the work. This place is NOT customer based at all. It was quiet, the beds were OK with our bedding and the shower worked. Because something is old does not mean filth and most could be cleaned with a vacuum and more staff. Once they have your VISA they do not care, remember that. Bharat Parekh general manager, owned by Pramukh,LLC  The only worker in there was kind, hope he is being treated better. Can't say no smoking when the hotel smells like smoking and other!

Not a customer based hotel! Filth is what they give you.

Stayed for a concert at Mohegan Sun. Check in was quick and easy. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I only needed a place to sleep and shower. Service was fine, asked for extra towels and got them within minutes. Had a double bed room, 4 of us stayed comfortably. Room and shower was clean. Had a fridge and microwave. AC worked great. Free WiFi. No soap or shampoo provided so bring your own. Ice machine in lobby. Plenty of parking. Only a 20-25 min ride to the casino. I would recommend if going to the casino and dont want to pay $600+ a night on a weekend.

Does the job

Recently stayed 3 nights at this facility and found it satisfactory for the price and location / proximity to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos.

 The room was clean , the bed comfortable and the linens quality were at par with most chains.
   The TV is old style vs flat screen but had a decent variety of stations, There are many restaurants within a short drive and highway access made visiting the casinos and nearby seaport towns of Groton, Mystic etc convenient.
    The staff was polite and helpful and offered suggestions as to what to see nearby.

This is a budget hotel that shows its: age and the breakfast is meager with a couple of cereals, coffee, milk ,bagels, bread and donuts only. Rooms have bar fridges and microwaves.
   Its not the Hilton or the casino hotels but if you catch it at a low price the value is fine.

Adequate Lodging at Budget Price

The gentleman at the desk was friendly and professional. 
The hotel itself is a bit outdated decor wise but the room was perfect as was the comfort of the bed and that is all that mattered. 
There was also a nice little place right near by to grab a bite to eat and the food was good.
