We came down for a weekend at pismo , the fridge and microwave worked the Bed was as hard as a rock, the shower had terrible water pressure and made a loud noise for the first minute you turn in on. When we left for the beach Saturday we put the do not disturb sign on and when we stopped back to grab a few things the maid was in our room cleaning. When I showed her the sign that said do not disturb she still kept cleaning.

You don’t get why you pay for 

With the Grapevine closed, I was diverted to 101 on my journey to LA. Needing a place to spend the night, I came across the Seaview Inn. At first, I was scared off by the low price, but decided to take a chance. I found the Inn to be in very good condition, and very comfortable and quiet. The neighborhood was rather nondescript, but fine. The one major drawback is that there were no coffee makers in the rooms, and the lobby doesn't have coffee early in the morning. Luckily, there is a 7-Eleven a block away. Other than that, no complaints. WiFi worked fine for me. A solid 4-circle rating.

Great value for the price

We are not picky when it comes to accommodations, and often stay in very basic hotels because all we need is a clean and safe place to stay while we travel. Our room had USED towels. Never coming back.

Not worth the money

We were visiting friends in the region and had a choice between Grover Beach, Pismo Bay and Morro Bay. We chose the wrong one in Grover Beach... there is really nothing there. And the Seaview  was a also a poor choice. The room was small with scruffy furniture, the bathroom had an old bath and shower which didnt work; the breakfast was almost non existent (on a tray). The family who ran the hotel were OK but otherwise I would avoid the Seaview. And ps you are a long way from the sea.

Not the best...

Friendly owner - location was good for the money. Room was okay, clean, wifi did not work at any point during our stay the TV did not work either as it was missing a component needed to receive the actual channels, the air con also did not work, however there was a fan. You get what you pay for, and this was fine for the one we stayed here. I'm not sure I'd have liked any longer there though.

I originally booked 1 night then my husband booked an additional previous night to allow for the dunes. The only posatives about this motel is the location, there are a few restaurants near and the beach is walking distance. 
We asked to combine booking, we were asked to pay more on the 2nd night due to booking a queen not a king. We said it was no problem we will move rooms. They then said it's ok we will let you have it for the same price. I thought that was really nice of them until they did not make the bed on the 2nd day or give clean towels. Obviously this was due to not paying the extra money for the hotel room.
There is no AC, the room was boiling to the point you could not sleep. 

This motel cost $86 for the 1st night and $77 for the second, for this price you expect clean towels.

Better motels avaliable

I took Amtrak to Grover Beach and this hotel had the best rating for places convenient to station. If this was the best, I can’t imagine what the others could be like. 

I had booked through Hotels.com.the booking said I would be charged $65.00 at check in.  When I arrived the clerk said he could not find my reservation. I showed him my email with all my info, including the price. He then stated he could not honor the price. I asked him what was going on. He proceeded to blame expedia and hotels.com for numerous errors in pricing. He claimed the correct price was $59 not $65. Yes, he said the price was less than my email stated, so He could not let me have the room.

I went back  on hotels.com, checked the price, which was indeed $59, but with tax was $65, and showed him the math. He finally ran my card, then told me I had to pay a cash deposit of $30 in case I left the room dirty. We argued some more and I asked him to please call the manager. He claimed the manager was in India, and he was just helping out. It was late, I was on foot, and my card had already been run so I relented and left $20 as a deposit. 

The room was like a rundown motel 6. No need to say more.
