My family just arrived home from our beach vacation in Orange
Beach AL. We stayed in the Lighthouse Condominiums, as we
have for the last 3 years, checking in on June 9, 2022 and
checking out on June 15, 2022. I have never booked with Vacasa, but
decided to this year and it was an incredibly terrible decision.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how dirty the unit was. There
was dried food on the pot holder, half an inch of dust on all of the
baseboards, dried food on the walls, the refrigerator was filthy,
food on the kitchen floor, other people's hair in the filter and jets
of the bathtub, a roach on the balcony, the bathroom light
flickered constantly when on, mold and dirt around the shower,
and to top it all of, the door to the air conditioner was coated in
dust. My three year old son is allergic to dust, so this was a
hazard to his health. I contact Vacasa via telephone 3 times in 2
and a half hours on the night of June 9th, each time I was told
someone would be there within an hour to clean the unit. The last
time I was told the "guy" was in a van with no supplies. By this
time it was after 8:00 at night and my son needed to bathe and
go to bed, so my husband thoroughly cleaned the bathtub. I
spent all of that night, until 2:00 a.m., cleaning the unit. I also
spent the majority of the next day, June 10th, cleaning the unit to
ensure I got as much dust cleaned as possible so that my son
would hopefully not experience any health problems.

My husband and I checked into unit 516 on April 11th, to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement! The unit had not been throughly cleaned and smelled of cat urine. The patio furniture had been moved inside to the living and bedroom spaces. We immediately went to open the patio doors to find them wedged shut from the outside( I believe this is against fire code)!!! When we inquired about the doors, we were told the information was posted in the office. We did receive correspondence about construction in the building ( we received the email while driving down),  never were we told we wouldn't have access to our patio or not be able to even open the pario doors. We were not able to secure other accommodations,  as everything was full.  We contacted liquid life about our disappointment and was offered one nights refund. The refund was in exchange for us NOT  posting ANY negative feedback or reviews!!! Needless to say we declined their refund offer. They basically wanted to buy our silence.  I feel everyone should be aware of the practices of this grimy place!! Do not rent here, you'll thank me later!!!

37th Wedding Anniversary gone wrong..

Was looking for a couples retreat. Our stay was In September 2021 . I gave this place a benefit of the doubt when the police report article came about someone lit fire to their room on a domestic dispute. Given the benefit of the doubt I assumed it was a random act

  Fast forward  to my exerience it is a place of angry drunks, college aged kids hot spot. Night after night was loud music, smell of pot and cigarette that I had to  endure wafting towards our balcony while listening to fights and what I would say are angry drunks and extremely loud music. I  missed what could have been spent relaxing instead of being a captive audience to this nightly spectacle. Several other rooms were were blasting music with doors open into the late hours to early morning, robbing other guests of peace and quiet.  The balcony fight brought everyone else in there rooms to their own balcony to wittness and everyone watched in shock

The number provided was not live and there is no security on premis after hours, leaving you to your own? and 911.

I booked my stay to escape, hear the ocean not to be immesed in constant havoc.

Loud drunks, loud music and loud fights

The condo was great.  The view was magnificent.  We brought our daughter and a friend, they did not get bored.  They walked to The Hangout and other spots.  The condo was clean and had plenty of dishes to use. Bring some extra supplies like hand soap, extra trash bags laundry and dryer sheet.  They tell you what they supply and we came prepared.  I know that we would gladly come stay again and would recommend to friends.  As far as construction we were able to over look it since it is out of everyone's control.   Smile and enjoy the beach. The beach service gut is wonderful too.  Ready to jump and help.  Until next time...

Coming Back

We reserved a Condo at this resort with Meyer Vacation rentals. Vacasa bought out Meyer. We paid a deposit to Meyer of $570.00. Vacasa informed us that the Condo was not available. Vacasa offered a smaller Condo at a different resort with fewer amenities. And wanted to charge us 4 times the amount of money. We declined and requested our refund of the deposit made. It took 7 weeks for us to get our money back. Terrible company to deal with.

Don’t rent through Vacasa

On Friday, October 29th 2:00pm, we received a call (as we were finishing packing for a four month stay) from Young’s informing us of the construction to the Lighthouse property as referenced in the letter that is shown below.  This is for the rental period that starts the following Monday (November 1st).  We were planning to leave the following morning, as it is over a thousand mile drive from Wisconsin AND on that Monday (Oct. 25th) we had received an email from Young’s titled “Welcome Letter-Express Check-In Instructions.”  Needless to say we were shocked at the sudden change of events and even more shocked when Young’s only offered us another (smaller) unit in a less desirable building (San Carlos), at a higher price than we had originally agreed upon.  This is after renting from them for the prior five years and with my parents doing business with them since the early 1980’s.  Their response to my plea to at least give us the San Carlos unit at the same price that we were paying was “Our management fee for this is less than three hundred dollars.”  I find this hard to believe, since the total bill for the four months was in excess of ninety four hundred dollars. Young’s destroyed our vacation plans for this winter  They had prior knowledge of the construction and painting activity and waited until the last minute to tell us.  Please very be careful if you do business with them.

This is the memo that was sent to Young’s and sent on to us:
“Lighthouse Owners and Management Companies: 
We asked our contractor for a detailed paver removal schedule to better assist you in advising guests when the highest level of paver noise in front of specific units would occur. The list was received just prior to our annual homeowners meeting on Saturday and distributed to those in attendance. 
The attached files in the two links below indicate the planned date for paver removal in sections. (If your unit number is not indicated, pavers in front of your unit have already been removed)  The contractor indicates the exact date might vary, but not by much…..they might be a day or two earlier or a day or two later than published at the most. Removal typically takes 1 to 1 1/2 days in a section in front of 3 adjoining units. Obviously starting one afternoon will stretch in to the following day. 
The noise is greatest when they are directly in front of a unit, but be aware paver removal on other floors and a couple of doors down the hall from you on the same floor can be heard within your unit. When the contractor is working in areas other than directly in front of you unit, guests will still be affected. So indicating to all that the building is a “Construction Zone” until the pavers are all removed is strongly advised. 
On a similar subject, the contractor has 3 or 4 units requiring tile demo in November and December, and we are aware of another owner that will demo tile in the same timeframe. Advising all of your guests thru December of the possibility of paver and tile demo noise is the best course of action to avoid unpleasant surprises. 
Painting of the building began this past week. We have received a rough paint schedule for the building which projects work in various “stacks” utilizing a swing stage vertically on the building. Painting of the north, east and west sides of the building will not restrict entry or exit from any unit. However, grinding of stucco cracks, removal of delaminated stucco, and grinding of rusted rebar will create short bursts of noise all over the building for the next 10 months. Preparation for painting of the north, east, and west sides of the building will occur from now thru the mid-March 2022. 
Work on south-side balcony ceilings, walls, sealants, and floors will begin mid-March and last thru mid-July 2022. A more detailed schedule of south-side balcony work will be posted early next year. 
Bottom Line: Considerable noise thru December 2021 due to paver and tile removal. Other sources of noise from now thru mid-July 2022 are from grinding in the paint preparation process. The inconveniences of residing in a structure being painted (on the beach with wind) are upon us now thru July 2022. Repositioning of vehicles due to the possibility of paint overspray and dripping will be a daily occurrence into the summer of 2022. 
Again, advising all occupants of these issues is our best course of action until the work is completed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

LAST MINUTE CHANGES (NOT IN A GOOD WAY!)

This has been going on since 7:00 am this morning.  They took an hour break for lunch.  First they were jackhammering on the balcony 20’ from our door, now they are right above the living room inside!! One inside and one outside! 😡
Our last full day here, how relaxing ….It’s ridiculous!

The Lighthouse Condominiums - Gulf Shores Alabama

Our room, 1611, was remarkably clean. The kitchen has everything you need, including some spices. The view is great. Nice, large balcony. There are beach chairs and boogie boards, but they're hidden behind the laundry room door. There's some construction noise, but it's not bad.

I reserved a condo through Liquid Life Vacation Rentals. We had no problem with the condo. It was awesome. On arrival, We had to read a statement that they were doing some renovations.  Turns out they were jackhammering tile right outside our door the entire 5 days we were there. We could not carry on a conversation inside our condo nor watch tv. They should have informed us of this before we arrived & given an option to cancel. There was nothing we could do once we were there.

Liquid Life Vacation Rentals - Know Before You Go

Construction noise from 8-5 every week day. We were not told about jackhammering noise until check in time. The next morning we woke up to the noise right outside our door. Management told us the owners wanted the unit rented out during this time.
