Still can’t believe there’s a city called “Gun Barrel City” Only In Texas..

This place was pretty good. Nice looking pool and our room was neat and tidy. We had a good nights sleep and the room was a fair price.

Wifi didn’t work but turns out they only turn it on when guests request it. We had to ask 3 times before it finally got turned on. the only other thing is the advertised breakfast but when we went to have a look there was 1 banana and a few muffins. Not even enough for our group let alone other guests.

For the most part though it was pretty good..

Gun Barrel City, Name totally worth mentioning in the title..

Forgot I never came back to finish my review. Nothing wrong with place. Just simple, clean and easy drive to Canton. We don't drink and drive and found the local Chili's chain walkable from the motel. Rooms were decent and clean. Would have rather stayed in Canton, but, you have to reserve at least a year in advance. This place worked out fine for us.

The hotel manager made sure that the stay was worth it. went above expectation to insure guest satisfaction. the room was clean and well stocked. highly recommend this place above other hotels in gun-barrel.

Excellent staff

I usually enjoy staying at a Day's Inn, usually good value for the money, usually clean and well maintained.  THIS one was an exception.  There were so many things wrong I will not even attempt to list them all.
One tissue in the box and it was empty.  1/4 roll of TP.  No spare.  A coffee pot---NO COFFEE.
The maid/cleaning person did not service the room at all during the stay.   The pool had green moss covering the water and the pool sides.
The breakfast was a joke.
The only bright spot was the TV worked and the coffee machine in the breakfast room was very good.
I will not stay at this Day's Inn again.


The absolute WORST Day's Inn I have ever stayed in.

1st room smelled like urine. There was urine left in the toilet and it would not flush.  (Doubting housekeeping). 2nd room they gave us the keys and it was already occupied. (Doubting safety/Security). 3rd room dirty walls, dead bugs in bathroom light, cigarette burn hole in sheet. Then before going to bed found a live bug in the shower curtain. (Doubting cleanliness). 
Not sure if the bugs were crickets or cockroaches but after all the problems there's no way I was sleeping there. Luckily we were able to get a room somewhere else. 

Bad experience from beginning to end...

New Owners !!!!! They go over and above to make your stay pleasant --- The ice machine needs fixed--but they are working on it----  7 days on a business trip--Breakfast is right on time at 6:30 AM---Beds are VERY Good. Good restaurants within walking distance. Excellent Review. 

Very Good !!!!!

In December we stayed at this Best Western hotel. One thing is clear, there are better hotels in the BW chain. The rooms were relatively small, but clean. The windows and doors were leaky, there was strong air drag. The breakfast offered, especially the coffee, was a tribute to our taste buds. The staff seemed rather uninterested. Printing a hotel bill was not possible!!! Conclusion: Not necessarily again.

There are better BW hotels

I got a room price of $67.50 when I called the hotel on September 7, 2006. When I called the hotel a day later to book the rooms, it was $70 a room at a time. We arrived there on September 9, 2006. We arrived there at about 2:30 p.m. About 4:00 p.m. My three youngest grandchildren wanted to go swimming. The pool was open. I called the front desk and I was told that the owner was having an afternoon nap and we had to wait until he woke up and he could open the pool for us.
