I live in the SF Bay Area, my mother lives in Visalia CA. Whenever I go to visit my mom I usually wait until traffic dies down. Unfortunately because of the long drive and late hours I can either get a hotel room or wake my mother up in the middle of the night. I usually choose the hotel room option. 

I have stayed at MANY Casino Hotels in my life and the remodeled rooms at Tachi are among my favorite.  If you ever get a chance to stay in one of their Loft rooms go ahead and treat yourself, it's worth it.

One of the things that make Hotels stand out for me is the Customer Service. I don't care how nice the hotel is, if the Front Desk Staff is not pleasant, I will take my money elsewhere. 

The other night after a long drive, I wanted to get a little but of gambling in. By the time I was ready to get some sleep, I only had but 5 or 6 hours before I would have to get up, pack up, and check out. 

Having had some success at the Casino I figured I would see about extending my stay.

All three on duty Front Desk people all were smiling and ready to help me, so I decided to choose the young lady who had checked me in earlier. 

Whenever a Customer Service Representative remembers my name it makes me feel like a VIP. 

Even though hours had gone by and she had helped countless other customers since, miss Elvira V remembered and addressed me by name as soon I walked up. She was very friendly, warm, and welcoming.

She is truly a Customer Service Professional and an asset to Tachi Palace. 

If you enjoy gambling and find yourself in the Central Valley area I would highly recommend staying and playing at the Tachi Palace Hotel, Casino. 

BTW: their machines are much more generous than those at Rohnert Park's Graton Casino

It began w parking, no signage, a LONG walk to
Our room. Lost my hubs because odd and even rooms on opposite sides of building (and no signage off elevator) Whew, hungry, head to dinner. Ordered a glass of wine, he a cocktail. Brought me a 3 oz pour (NOT kidding), and it was WARM white wine, politely asked mgmt why and she said that’s the temp machine pours. Wow. His cocktail finally came when our dinner was delivered. They were out of bitters so plain-ish old fashioned. No draft beer, his favorite. I’d specifically ordered my chow mein lots of veggies, light on pasta, what came was a greasy oily mess of noodles with 4/10ths of a carrot added in. Had to go to front desk once for a glass of water PLEASE and again to pay the bill. Head to the sports bar to gamble, only champagne for white wine option? Weird. Ok, I’ll go walk instead. Get outside and the immediate neighboring farm was in the process of spreading revolting manure in adjacent field (I grew up on a dairy farm so I known manure!) so bad I had to go back in. Let’s watch tv then. Nope, didn’t work, fussed for a bit, called front desk for help, nice gentleman said happens 10-12 times a week. 
We rate minimum reqs for good hotel as 1) HVAC fan w an always on function to stay cool and white noise, 2) bathroom fan, 3) good blackout drapes, 4) good coffee. This place has NONE of those! Sooo angry we drove 50 miles RT off I-5 for this pathetic hotel!

How to Do Everything Wrong  in a Hotel

It's rare to hit a bonus. I never see or hear anyone winning like they used to. After 2019 there are no payouts or anything. Everytime I play bingo the same people always win....not an exaggeration. There are hardly any machines that pay a big jackpot yet most of them you still have to bet at least 5 dollars. Just terrible.

Tachi Bingo was canceled after playing several bingo games. I understand the faulty technical equipment and that they could not refund my money because the system was down (I paid cash) but my issue is that they told me they would call me personally to let me know how they were resolving the issue because I live hundreds of miles away and could not come back to pick up my money. After a week, I had not heard anything, so I called and left messages with other staff who assured me they emailed the bingo hall. I called again and talked to bingo staff, who said they were aware of my situation and they were working on a solution to get me my money. I still have not heard anything from them, nor have they offered any sort of incentive for the inconvenience and lack of customer service. It has been almost three weeks and I have still not received anything to let me know how they are resolving this issue. This place could use some training on customer service and how to retain their customers. I play a lot of bingo and will be looking for another bingo spot when I travel to the area. Any other casino that has had malfunctions has ALWAYS offered some incentives in free play, free packs, a buy-in, or something, but not Tachi. Please just send me my money. Thank you!

Bingo Failure-Horrible Customer Service

To start off we had to wait 3 hours after check in time, we had no housekeeping or maid service the entire 3 night stay, on a side note the TV guide didn’t match up to what was on the channels and svreen would switch to something she’s when remote was not even near us’n will never stay or die d my $ here again.. Chumash here we come!!! 

Terrible stay!!

We  love to stop at casinos for the night while traveling it gets us some walking time and usually a great place to eat.  The food did not disappoint here, some of the Covid restrictions were wasteful like one paper menu and then tearing it up to throw away.  Just laminate and sanitize between use!   Parking our even was ridiculous the spaces were not nearly long enough and we had to park by the gas station and walk I mean walk clear around the entire facility to get to the front which is under construction so we had to continue walking to get into the casino.  I don’t think we needed to park out front but really no shuttle nothing.  At least there was great lighting and security followed us back and forth.  We did eat and gamble not sure we would leave the freeway again to return.

Overnight stay

I went to gamble and what did I see host poopie pants up in a tree so I said hey poopie pants what are you doing up there and he said im pooping and I said you stink and he said I’m telling my mommy shay and she will spank you. I then said eat hardy and go change your pants he said I just did

I recently had occasion to visit Tachi Casino I had a room reserved but the computers were down so I couldn't register. I complained about the walk from the parking lot to the front desk they said they had done away with their handicap spots since they were remodeling this is not acceptable the Americans with Disabilities Act require locations to have ramps Etc however this casino routinely does not accommodate disabled guests when we have trouble walking we want to park close I have a placard and handicap plates so I could have proved I was on the up and up I will not stay here again because of this I noticed in the reviews that this started in 2003 with a complaint about handicap issues it is September 2022 and they're still having problems do your research before you stay here and find out before you come and have to leave like I did because I was unable to navigate the lobbies

It was okay. The casino has a funky smell and just all around stuffy. But one big plus for my wife and I is that the staff is friendly. That’s always nice. We just drove through the area and stopped to stretch and check out the casino….. so I’m strictly reviewing only the casino area. The entertainment/theater area looks brand new and nice but the Casino needs an update, new carpets or a good dusting perhaps….Just needs love. Construction didn’t bother us. The third floor gave off a weird vibe as it’s bright and the lay out is odd. I felt like I was in an office building up there to be honest. Slots are decent and there is plenty. It wasn’t terrible, just wasn’t our cup of tea. We would not stop here again.

Called for a room and the only room left was a suite. It was very spacious. I am DEAF, and the TV's did not have captions. Very nice man came and tried for close to 2 hrs to get it. Claimed it was the cable company, HOWEVER, I believe it was the TV. Neither one had captions. Definitely not ADA compliant.  Supervisor gave me a great discount off the expensive suite. There is a bathroom/toilet and sink right off the main room, HOWEVER, it does not stay open if one is in a wheelchair, to be able to get in that room. No towel by the kitchen area and at the master sink in the large bathroom. SO I had to take one of those for the bath. Great people at check in and will go back. OH with construction, no signs as to where to go to check in. We drove around and around and finally went past a road closed sign to find the front  entrance
