Run down and very dirty. The front desk clerk was kind, and is the reason for 2 stars and not one. I've never experienced a comfort inn and suites like this one. 

More specifically, both the inside and  outside of the hotel were not well maintained. The room was not cleaned well. The floor and sink were dirty. Hotel interior had smoke odor. 

Disappointed. 

We've stayed in lots of Comfort Inns, but this one was the dingiest. We were happy with the location and fridge plus freezer. Not thrilled with the dark greasy-looking stains on the comforter and sheets, as well as a bunch of short hairs and dark gritty stuff all over the beds. Old bottle of water and trash found on the floor. The bathroom door would not latch and needed to be held shut or it would open. The TV remote only changed channels, everything else needed to be controlled via the buttons on the tv itself. Neither of us could get the wifi to work on our phones. Other little stuff like the message light on the very old phone blinked nonstop even though there were no messages and the hot and cold temperatures in the shower were backwards. Besides the room, the elevator smelled strongly of yeast and the lock on the side door did not work. Most of these things on their own (besides the dirtiness) aren't enough to bother us, but all combined it just showed how little care and upkeep seem to to be put into this property. For almost $200 a night (holiday weekend), we expected a somewhat nicer, cleaner place.

Dirty and not well-maintained

I was in Hannibal for the weekend with some friends.  With no Marriott hotels in the area I chose the Comfort Inn.  I was very satisfied with this choice because our room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the staff was super friendly.   The refrigerator in the room came in very handy.  Those things were exactly what we needed for our stay, although a safe was not provided in the room.  We did not use the pool at all or take part in the free breakfast so I cannot review those.

The location is really good, just a few minutes from downtown.

Worked out perfectly

Made reservations on phone for two rooms with two Queen beds.  We’re checked into two rooms with king bed and fold out couch. No sheets or blankets for fold out bed.
Moved to two different rooms on third floor.
No striker plate on door lock, bathroom lock plate falling off door.
Other room, desk looked like bar top in cheap bar and sticky like movie theater floor. 
Dirty Q-tips in garbage can.
Mr. Rodriquez was night shift manager had slight attitude when we asked to change rooms.  Probably based on status of maintenance across the entire hotel.
Beds were made and sheets appeared clean.
Of all the places you will have ever stayed this would be one of them.
Still a notch above where I lived in either Iraq or Afghanistan.
But still every day in America is a good day.

Not polite to swear on a public forum.

After being sent to a room that had to been cleaned as of 7pm, I was then put in a 3rd floor king room in which the bath facet dripped heavily every 6 seconds for :20 minutes after a bath. The refrigerator was barely cold and motor hummed loudly and bed was very hard. 

Having experienced a phenomenal time at a Comfort Inn in Arkansas, I switched from Marriott and Best Western. I thought/hoped for a decent experience. D-

We found a piece of clothing and medicine box on the floor of closet, a used tall hanging on back of bathroom door and a piece of candy laying on the floor.  The room didn’t appear to be vacuumed well.  The lady at front desk didn’t provide any information except where the room was.  I had to ask about breakfast, was gym and pool open etc..the breakfast was just grab cold items.  Other hotels in Missouri that we have been to have hot breakfast now.  Overall not impressed.

Very dirty

This motel was very nice and clean. It is a little far from places to eat. the desk clerk did give us very good directions to a good restaurant. We visited the Rockcliff Mansion and took a riverboat ride.

Excellent service and stay. Thank you Cathie, Michelle and Lola. Clean room and excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Convenient location too in Hannibal. Staff very helpful  

Excellent stay

Just plain dirty!!  We eventually actually wondered if it had been cleaned. With the current situation of COVID-19 I truly expected the room to be very clean. After finding the following, it made the rest of the stay uncomfortable at best. Photos below.

1. Large brown streak on towel with brown chunk. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting to say the least.   
2. Frig obviously had not been cleaned due to food on and in it. 
3. Floors were dirty. 
4. The room was just dirty. With little foot traffic from COVID 19, I expeced to find at a minimum a clean room.

Our first room had a television which was set up so the channels could not change, missing a box of some sort, we therefore had to change rooms. The next room was very hot, it eventually cooled down but worse the room was very dirty.

Unusually Dirty

Stop here for one night, the hotel was easy to get to.  The staff was very friendly.  The front desk person gave us a room close to the front door.  The lobby area is open and inviting.  Breakfast was great lots to choose from.  Very quiet and clean.  The pool area is very nice.
