My wife is a disabled vet and when we got there they had us set up on the 2nd floor. I requested a 1st floor and they gave us a disabled room. They only had 1 disabled room. It was raining heavily when we got there and the window over the A/C was loose in the frame it sounded like a waterfall from a holding area outside the window. We stayed for 2 days and when I discovered the holding area I did not see a reason to complain, I discovered the window problem on day 2 I did complain to what I assumed was the mgr.

 He did come to the room and saw the problem and said that he was going to have to call a window person. 
At no time did he offer any compensation for the problems, that I felt that I needed something. I will never stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone.
      

The worst stay I ever had

To begin with I was very impressed with how big the room was and how it appeared clean. On the second night we began to notice crickets. It wasn't a big deal because it was just a couple but on the third night around midnight after catching another cricket we noticed a gecko on the wall. We talked to the staff on duty and she said they keep the geckos around to get rid of the crickets. EW! She said there were no single rooms left and we could switch to a double but would have to pay the difference, which in my opinion is ridiculous! We ended up using paper and plastic bags to close the small holes in the window after catching around 12 crickets and only saw 2 crickets after that. I think they could solve the problem if they tried. Also, tons of dead crickets behind the furniture. When we left we were asked about our stay and we mentioned the crickets to which we were told that was the norm for Texas. I have stayed in other hotels in Texas and have never had this problem. I think it is just a Motel 6 problem. Overall, I did not expect much from such a cheap hotel but I do not think that is an excuse for dead crickets, living crickets, and geckos to be the hotel rooms. I will not stay here again.

Crickets and Geckos

We stayed 2 nights here. The workers we're nice, the rooms were clean, I felt safe because we were visiting from Missouri and there's a store right next door which is walkable for any personal need. The only problem I had was we stayed on the first floor and I could hear noise upstairs half the night. It was as if something was being moved around.

Very nice

We booked one night at this hotel because we were having floors installed at our home.  On first inspection the hotel looks fairly new and decently well kept.  I went into the room and it looked fairly clean.  I laid down for 30 min and got up to do laundry.  I noticed I had 3 bug bites on my ankles and arm.  Immediately I panicked and called my husband and he went to the front desk to confront the clerk.  She came to the room and acted annoyed.  My husband found a flea on the bed!  The clerk did acknowledge that it was just a flea and that it couldn't be a bedbug because that problem was cleared up two years prior.  Bottom line, don't stay at this hotel.  It is filthy and has bugs!

Fleas issues

I am very easy to please. We chose this Motel 6 due to the price and a quick place to sleep while passing through to Austin. We were not expecting much, but hoping for a clean Motel. When we arrived the family that was running the place was watching TV in the lobby all together. The youngest daughter walked over to check us in. As we entered, there was a very musty smell. We did have some fabreeze with us so we were not worried. This was the only motel available so at this time we would take what we could get. As we walked into our room a cat/dog urine small hit you us in the face like a ton of bricks. The room looked visually clean, but the smell was almost unbearable. As we entered the bathroom it was much worse, it even made our eyes water. We decided to turn on the AC hoping that it would help the smell and go to a near by restaurant for some dinner. As I walked over to the AC, we noticed the the window looking outside would not shut, a little weary as we were on the first floor. When I turned on the AC cockroaches and other bugs came out and started walking all around. At this point we reached out breaking point. We went back to the front desk to see if another room was available, but there wasn't one. The front desk girl handed us a can of Raid bug spray, said this usually helps, and went and sat back down with her family. She didn't care what so ever. We decided to take our chanced in finding another hotel and thought that our car would still be a much better option. Luckily we booked with Expedia and they credited us back the money for the night stay. The front desk did charge us $10 for un-making the beds and would not budge on this since we wanted to check for bugs. This place should be condemned. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
