This hotel is closed! I have never stayed in this west side Harlingen hotel, but have seen it go downhill since moving back to the Valley eight years ago. It's a shame because the location on 83 is good and the hotel used to be pleasant enough when we held several high school reunions there 25-35 years ago. The owners tried an Indian restaurant there about five years ago, but it flopped. The final 'bullet' was a drug-related murder in the hallway about six months ago. Good riddance. I hope they find a new owner willing to completely rebuild the hotel, or demolish it.

I have traveled in India and, from that point onward, have sought out Indian food.  This buffet, including the service, is one of the best.  The dishes are few enough in number to be well prepared, with slight variations from day to day, and they are naturally filled with unusual spices one comes to expect: curry, saffron, ghee, etc.  The chutney is a taste sensation, in and of itself, all salty and properly aged.  The dining room could be anywhere.  With its high ceilings and windows looking out onto the brick wall (and elevated Highway 83), one could as easily be in one of those cosmopolitan restaurants along the Autobahn in Germany, for instance, as in the Rio Grand Valley.  In sum: superlative abound!  Eat here and try not to do that alone.

Spot on, Delicious

The curries, naan, desserts - everything is delicious. This is one of my top indian picks in Texas, and hands down the best in the RGV. Amazing!

Best Indian Buffet in the Valley

They have an outstanding Indian Food Buffet there. I'm quite the curry afficionado, and considering I live up the street in Palm Valley, it's very convenient! The service is also impeccable:)

Great Restaurant!!

I was pleasantly surprised to get a good room for the price.  I was very satisfied with the service and enjoyed the over-sized room with a fridge.  I loved the cute bar on the premises.  On the whole--best value for the price.
