Just about everything I read on the internet was out dated info. Our group couldn't have enjoyed it more. The rooms were immaculate and I checked under the mattress too!
The onsite owner/manager was fantastic. If you want a better breakfast, you'll need to go to town.

7 day motorcycle trip

Room was good but the second night the front desk employee was vacuuming at 9:30 - 10:00. The first time I opened the door and she said sorry and quit vacuuming. 10 minutes later she was at it again. I call the front desk and she answers and tells me that the MANAGER had told her to vacuum. Excuse me at 10 pm? That was totally uncalled for! Should have been compensated somehow.

The room was clean, bathroom very tiny.  The grounds around the hotel were junky & unkempt.  Big potholes at both entrances and around the parking area.  For a few dollars more, had much nicer accommodations in a neighboring town the next night!

quite place, rooms are old but really clean, the staff very accommodating and pleasant, price affordable,plenty of  space to park your vehicle. I surely go back to this place once i'm working in harrison  area. and  I would recommend this hotel to my friends

Good place

Winter stay, looked for an inexpensive place to stay with my daughter for one night. Was not interested in usual amenities, except free wifi, and really just wanted a place to sleep. The price was great, and the motel offered a free upgrade to a king bed without me asking. They also put us close to the office with a parking space beneath a street light, which I appreciated.

Friendly family owners, small continental breakfast, great heater in the bathroom, playground for young children, next door to a nice park with more playground equipment and trails, and a long, gorgeous mural on one side of the outdoor pool. They sell postcards of the mural artwork in the office.

Area is quiet, and just across the river is the rest of Harrison--restaurants, businesses, etc.

The television signal kept cutting out, but I failed to mention it to the owners upon checkout, so it's likely they don't know. It was probably just our room. The folks next door were watching the Superbowl, too, and it sounded like they did not lose their signal. 

Note: When you reach the entrance sign, turn off the highway and just trust the driveway is there. You can't see it because it's steep--it feels like you're driving off the edge of a cliff--but the driveway is there. It's a matter of faith. If conditions are icy, there is an alternate entrance/exit on the east side of the office with a gentler incline.

I have an event in Harrison this upcoming summer, and I plan to stay at this hotel at that time.

Exactly what I was looking for

We stayed in room 114. The good: plenty of space to park a trailer and we could park our motorcycles outside the room. Good hot water and cable and WiFi was really good. The bed was pretty comfy The bad: the room was smelly. Actually smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The carpet needs replaced. Shower drain had to be propped open. Furniture was worn except for a couple new chairs. The pool was nice.

The rooms are dated, but everything was clean and the bed was comfortable.  Air conditioning worked great.  The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to anything we brought to their attention.  A great plus was the benches outside the rooms.  Lots of the folks staying there would sit outside in the evenings and visit with one another.  A real homey feeling.  One drawback was the sporadic internet connection.  The staff tried repeatedly to get that issue resolved, but it was still a problem when we left.

Quaint little motel

The ad says pet friendly. For $10, that is. The door to our room appears to have resisted a forced entry some time ago but remains unrepaired. The outlet in the bathroom lacks a cover plate. The proprietors appear to be refuges from a caste-based society. On the bright side, the flies are very friendly. I treated them to a dose of Raid. The lighting is totally inadequate, one dim LED bulb in an overhead fixture. It's too dim to read by and is the only light in the room. There's a Super 8 just a little way down the street. I should have stayed there. We're only passing through but if I'm ever in this area again, I won't stay here. I'll sleep in my vehicle first.

Oh, Calcutta!

The owner and his family were very nice.  We didn't have any issues.  But this place needs some serious help.  The towels were white leaning to the gray side I guess because of the water.  Paint was peeling off the walls.  Bathroom sink and toilet were cracked.  The bathroom tile was 1950's pink.  And that was the best part of the room!  For the price we paid I expected something a bit more.   We were taken in by the reviews as we booked this before arriving in town.  Give this one a pass!

Couldn't wait to check out the next morning

The worst hotel I have haver been to. First we were there long enough for the kids to use the bathroom there roaches in the bathroom and in the other area . Second no trash cans in the whole room and the phone didn't work. Then he refused to give me my full refund cheating me out of 25 dollars and he was extremely  rude!!!
