Had a very nice stay. Staff were good and I enjoyed pool and my stay. Clean n comfy bed and good location. There is a lot of good places near by like Walmart Taco Bell and many restaurants in walking distance and Neptune island waterpark just 1 mile away

Enjoyed my short trip

This hotel is garbage. Everything about this place is awful! We booked a 2 night stay and from the second we arrived the experience was the worst I’ve ever had. We were fraudulently charged at the hotel after booking and paying on Priceline. We brought this to the attention of the front desk clerk who was high as a kite only to be yelled at, somehow got blamed for her mistake, and told there is no one on site that can authorize refunds. When we questioned this a door was slammed in our face and that was the end of the conversation. We stayed the night assuming we could talk to a more reasonable employee in the morning, however although she was nice enough, could not help us. We continued for 2 weeks to attempt to have this money returned to us only to continuously be told no one is authorized to issue refunds. They refused to provide the name and phone number of the manager. Choice Hotels corporate said there is nothing they can do since it is “independently owned.” We finally filed a report with the police department and had our bank correct the issue. 
Now the rest - The hotel is filthy both inside and out, there is no breakfast as advertised whatsoever, and the pool had been shut down that week by the SC Health Department. 
DON’T EVER STAY HERE AND PLEASE TELL THOSE YOU KNOW TO AVOID ALSO!

Where do I begin???  I work in the travel industry, and I would NOT suggest this hotel as a hotel for one of our groups to stay.  This hotel is in need of a makeover!  As you enter the room and draw the blinds, it is noticed the bottom of the sheer curtains were terribly frayed, as well as one of the blinds was missing a wand and semi disconnected from the top of the mechanism holding the shades/curtains up.  Next thing noticed are the lamps, as they were rusted.  You go into the bathroom and the toilet seat was broken away from the toilet.  The clencher for us was when turning down the duvet cover down and away to the edge of the mattress, the underneath side was ripped in various places; not small rips, but gashes.  I am sure there was more than went unnoticed.  

Never again!!!

Why lie to customers by offering amenities that do NOT exist?
Why refuse to cancel a reservation AFTER motel lures the customer to reserve a room, customer reserves a room, and then customer discovers advertised amenities, like Heated Indoor Pool, do NOT exist?
......
I was charged $95 for not staying at this dump.

False Advertising Lures Guests to Nonexistent Indoor Pool

Whenever I come to Hartsville I always stay here but the past few times I came first time there was a big spider in the curtain the lady at desk and housekeeper come to the room and killed it they put me in another room. ok next time I came there was a smaller spider on wall and she came in room and sprayed bleach on it ok I had to go bk to her cause there was another spider in crack she got her bleach and sprayed and said it should be died soon as she close my door that Dam spider was coming out the crack now I’m sitting here scare to lay down cause the crack is ova my head she said I CANT GET ANOTHER ROOM NOT UNLESS IT WAS A ROACH SHE SAID THE MANAGER TOLD HER THAT PLUS THERE IS DIED ROACHES IN DRESSER

hotel rooms are in poor condition inside and parking area. Someone had to see this in the room. I'm not sure how are why the items are still in the room. People should not have to see this old stuff in the room.

Crook of SH!!

FROM MY LAST STAY UO UNTIL NOW THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVERY. I WENT TO CHECK IN SUNDAY BECAUSE WE WAS COMING BACK FROM THE BEACH AND TGE FRONT DESK MANAGER WANDA WAS VERY VERY RUDE AND RACIST. SHE ACT LIKE WE WAS GETTING ON HER LAST NERVE WHICH I THINK ITS THE LAST ONE SHE HAD. SHE DIDNT WANT TO LET US SEE A ROOM AND TOLD US WE HAD TO GO UPSTAIRS WHEN IT WAS MANY ROOMS DOWNSTAIRS. THE ROOM WE WAS PUT IN WHICH IS ROOM 232  HAD MOLD ON THE CHAIR, WALLS, and Floor this is a HOT MESS FRFR. I took many pictures and I went to the city of hartsville the next morning. The General Manager Chyna brunson we met the last time we stayed here was very nice and helpful but we was told that she quite which the way this hotel is I would have done the same thing if I was working here. This hotel is u safe for people to stay in and work in with the mold conditions. These people have mold in the lobby area behind where the workers work and in the ceiling. I spoke with one of the workers and they said they have gotten sick working with all this mold and the owner don’t cat nothing about them. Well I went to DECH and reported it and can’t wait for it to be shut down. You all that read this please don’t stay at this place 

THIS PLACE IS TRASH DON’T STAY 

We stayed at Quality Inn in Hartsville SC because of a sudden and very traumatic passing in the family last week. The first room we were put in had mold on the walls and the sheets on the pull out were filthy. The carpet was sticky as was the upholstery on the sofa. Everything was just dirty. The smoke detector had been removed from the room. There was clearly a humidity problem in the room for there to be so much mold and there was condensation on the top of the fridge. We were moved to another room the second night that was slightly cleaner in that it did not have mold and the carpet was not sticky. The security bolt on the door was missing. We were told that the second room was being comped, but it was not. We were never offered any other discount. It was anything but Quality. I asked that an upper management employee call me, but no one ever did. Your company should be ashamed of itself.

Filthy! Mold! Stay anywhere else!

PLEASE DONT FOLLOW THE REVIEW SOME PEOPLE JUST DO THIS FOR A SHOW!!!!!!!
I will start by saying this hotel has change a lot for the Good for this area! Me and my husband came down after 4 yr of not coming to this area to check on our house we have in town and to see some love ones. Upon checking in we was greeted by the General Manager ( New ) Ms. Chyna Brunson. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, respectable, and outgoing for what experienced. She gave us a great deal on our room and it was a goos price which is a  Aplues for me. Many years ago I have came to this hotel and the service was rude and nasty people working the desk the only reason we stayed was because at this time this was the only good hotel in town. The new staff she has working for her is awesome and I told the General Manager I quote ( I really wish I could take you back to Philadelphia with us ) lol. The room we checked in was clean and small really really Good ( which before you would have to change room 3 times to get a good one). I came back to the front desk to give my feedback of the room that we got to tell her she really must have changed around a lot to find another guest fussing about his room while I waited out side. The customer was very rude to the General Manager which at this  time she stepped outside to explain to him what she was saying in a very humble way. Yes I recorded the full seen and the GM was very nice about it because where I am from we don’t allow disrespect. The guy was very rude to the manager but one thing I did like that she did was even whwn he got loud with her and said everything he said she still allowed him
To stay ( could not have been me). I told Ms. Brunson she handled it well and he owner was right there when it happen. I would recommend all my love one and family to stay at this please as long as Ms. Brunson is manager she is  very professional, genuine, outgoing, and straight to the point. This has been the best stay since I been coming back this way.
