Have had a very good stay, the room was very clean, smelled fresh and even air conditioner filters were cleaned. New updated rooms with flat screen smart TVs are really nice.. beds have been replaced as well. Definitely will be back to stay. Ps.. has a indoor pool and indoor hot tub⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed here with our children. The rooms were clean, the breakfast satisfying,comfy beds, smart tv for the kids, the in door pool was great.

We did have a few minor issues but as soon as we brought them up they were fixed.  We were a wee weary because of the negative reviews but gave it a try and happy we did.

Stayed 2 nights in helen at this location rooms were clean great location staff was attentive.will be back to stay here next trip to helen. Come see for yourself don't judge by old reviews.i was comfortable felt safe and inexpensive. Only 1 thing I would ask to be different is breakfast should be available!

Weekender

This was overall a decent place to stay. The place was OK clean. We only stayed one night. They do not have breakfast...only honeybuns and muffins and coffee. If your in Helen it would be a good place to stay...if you only pay $50 a night.

Hmmmm...

Stayed here while Oktoberfest in Helen was in full swing. So I was glad to get a room on a weekend in September. A $52/night room became a $150/night room...just like that! (Snaps fingers) But that's how it goes sometimes.

Decent location. About 15 minute walk to the Festhalle. No big deal. 

Bathroom has a vent. Always a plus. Door key works if you swipe it quickly.

By staying here you'll miss the major traffic jams in the center of town on warm summer weekends. Definitely worth considering.

Get what ya pay for

The Manager was very nice & did his best with what he had to work with but this place is disgusting. The room smells were gross (cigarette smoke/mildew). We were shown 3 different rooms until we found one we could tolerate after being told we could have some Febreeze & a candle. So instead of 2 double beds for my friend & I we had to share a bed as it was the week of the 4th & no other vacancy in other local hotels. The toilet overflowed a couple times, the ceiling in the bathroom poured water into the tub whenever the upstairs guest took a shower, there were gnats flying around, the outlets had to be reset each use, the window air conditioner didn't fit into the window correctly leaving areas exposed to the outside, the pool was algae green so we couldn’t use it the first two days we were there in 92 degree heat & our 3rd & final day was iffy. The ice machine has been out of order for a very long time & some of the long term guest are questionable characters who made you feel very unsafe. Cigarette butts all over the ground & just an overall disgusting, unkept, rundown, unsafe atmosphere. The manager tried but the owner of this establishment apparently doesn’t care. Do NOT stay here!

My husband and I booked two nights there. After seeing the room, we couldn’t believe how gross the room was: the shower curtain was yellow, like it got there in 60th, there was crack in the ceiling, the walls had wholes in them, there were no headboards. 
The pictures online and the condition of the room are a huge difference. We ask for a different room, which we were told they “were fully booked. Period!!”
They offered us to return the money if we were unhappy ONLY if we leave them a positive review!!!
THESE SCAMMERS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

Shut Them Down!!! Beware!!! Stay away!!!

There were no cars in lot. Went back four times to try to check in. Hotel was dirty and nasty. Did not stay still got charged. Avoid this at all costs. Needs a major overhaul with everything to fixtures and people.

This is NOT a review of the Budgetel  that used to be the Jameson. This is now called Haven.  It. is. Awful.  The room stinks so bad of smoke. It smells like they came in and tried to spray cleaner everywhere to disguise it but there are cigarette burns all over the bedspread. Requested a change of room but was told they were full.  The room was clean but just smelled of smoke so badly.  
Location was good.  No tv remote. No phone in room which is not a big deal.  One washcloth and one towel. One bar of soap. 
I paid 140.00 for this room and am so disappointed.

Haven Inn

Booked a room for 2 nights and could barely muster up the ability to stay 1. The room smelled so bad: mildew, body odor, fungus, dirty socks. Bed covers were covered in stains and cigarette burns although we were in a non smoking room. We drove 4 hours to get there and were not able to turn around and go back so we put our own blankets and pillows over the sheets and slept a few hours until the riffraff started outside. No coffee in the rooms and the coffee pots in the office for their honey bun and muffin breakfast looked like they hadn't been washed ever. Roaches in the bathroom next to the last person's pubic hairs. Go anywhere else.
