This place is not a good place to stay,(do not waste your time or money here!!) There's a great little place 7 miles north of Hennessy in the town of waukomis called The country inn. The rates on the rooms are usually between $55 and $65. Very clean rooms, clean beds, excellent service. plenty of room for parking small vehicles to large vehicles. At country inn motel you get your money's worth.

Not a good place

Got room 14 at the sawmill in Hennessey the manager was upset because I had woke her up to rent a room had my 2 year old with me was in the room 5 minutes and she come checking up on me like I was some kind of drug head and ran me out of the room because she thought there was smoking in the room I don’t even smoke crappiest motel I have ever dealt with so far I mean my last 40 bucks straight robbed us and called the cops all because she had to get up early and I needed a room

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Will stay again many times over. Safe, family friendly environment. Clean sheets and towels, flat screen TV, fast wi-fi.  Clean and well-lit parking lot; great place to stay.

Home away from home

I have been staying here for a total of 3.5 months for work. It is a family owned business. I have found the owners to be friendly and personable; and have been treated with complete respect during my stay. The rooms are mature, but clean; and my room was serviced and supplied with new, clean towels daily. The weekly rates are the most reasonable in the area and the customer service is top-notch. The environment is safe, which is important to me in regards to the security of my truck and tools. I will definitely make return visits and would recommend The Sawmill Inn to anyone, but especially to workers like myself wishing for an extended stay in a friendly place.

Great place to stay!

We stayed here about 9 years ago (with 2 small dogs) and found it to be old but acceptable (clean,in reasonable repair, and comfortable).

So, when we needed an "inexpensive" place to stay for one night (7/3/19) in this same area, we booked this place again. I was shocked at how rundown this place has become. The best I can say about it is the sheets were clean and the towels appeared to be new.

The tub looked stained and filthy, and there was mold on the tile in some places. The light fixtures were full of bugs, there were small frogs in the room, and the bed was like sleeping in a tent pitched over tree roots.

I felt contaminated just sitting in the room (and I live on a farm).

We won't be staying here again. Absolutely terrible. We spent $60+ for the one night which I consider absolutely outrageous.

NOT recommended

Had nothing but problems with management and rooms were filthy and never got cleaned. Manager came beating on my door at 1130pm to talk. Checked out and drove 10 miles down road to Country Inn much nicer staff and very clean and modern rooms for less then what’s being charged at Sawmill.

Poor management and nasty rooms

Stayed here as part of our Big 2013 Road Trip. They're aren't many motels on Oklahoma route 51 west of Stillwater, so we were happy to see the reflective signs of the Sawmill at sunset. The proprietor is very friendly & helpful. He advised us the motel is often filled with oil crews, but we were fortunate to catch an open time. The room was clean, but hadn't aged too graciously. Room rate was reasonable for its location. Still got a sound sleep.
