I have been a resident at this room now for a year. It wasn't until the hotel was taken over by new management that I started having issues. First thing first the sign out in the front states the rooms being $39.99 which is false advertising. I was told by the GM Mike that me and my children have to leave the hotel because we have been here for more than 28 days and legally after the 28th day we have to check out for 24 hours and than we can come come back. I went to the office and got a print out of the days i was checked in which started May 28th and they have me checking out tomorrow June15th which is only 18 days. The real reason why me and my kids are being put out in the streets is because Mike stated that I have too many belongings as far as shoes to be staying in a hotel. He than told the hotel staff to put me in another room and jack the price up a extra $120 and if I refuse to pay to put me out. He has no legit reason to be putting me and my kids into the streets. I am current on my room rent and I don't the hotel any problems, The way that Mike is handling business is unprofessional to the fullest and he should be FIRED!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't even feel comfortable leaving him to watch a dog.

If you can avoid please do!!!!!

Whole facility needs a total renovation. There are no phones in the rooms, faulty heating, toilets barely functioning and shower takes forever to heat. The front desk helper Laura is extremely rude and unpleasant for no reason. I witnessed her getting an attitude with an older gentleman who simply asked the balance remaining on his room. Avoid at all cost

LOOKS LIKE THE PROJECTS, STAFF IS UNBELIEVABLY RUDE.  your stuff WILL get stolen!!!!  its really like being in the ghetto.   
Had a couple strange bites on my leg.   The entire staff is so unprofessional..some of my stuff was missing, yet when i called, the poorly spoken indian guy "mike" decided to tell me that i was wrong and proceeded to hang up.  gross little man

PLACE IS HORRIBLE

terrible, bed bugs, bed bugs.  dark and nasty, had no remote no toilet paper.  if that wasn't enough got up in the middle of the night and had tons of cock roaches crawling up the walls.  had a few rooms and most of them had bed bugs in their rooms.  don't do it, it isn't worth it stay somewhere  else

The room was half- decent but was in definite need of a good paint job. We were travelling with our dog and whilst checking in I was told there was a 25$ pet fee YET in my Red Roof Inn travel book it stated that pets stayed for free??? The check-in clerk said it was the supervisor that decided this fee and that he had no choice but to charge me. Has anyone else been charged the same fee at other red Roof Inns?

Just don't do it, guys.  I made the mistake of giving the benefit of the doubt, and I regret it.

This place is falling apart.  The curtains are awful, the carpet is falling away, the beds are hard and I don't want to know what the splattered stains are where the bedskirt fell away from the boxspring.  The shower in the bathroom has seen better days, the TV is old, there was someone else's milk left in the fridge...I was half afraid a body would fall out of the closet when I opened it.

But the worst are the people hanging outside.  I'm 99% certain they live here, because who brings a basketball when traveling?  Alllll they do is stand out there and bounce the thing against the walls, and all the while they've got loud music playing.

I can't believe I wasted money on this tenement.

There are some sketchy motels on this particular strip of Richmond, but Red Roof is an outlier, their rooms were clean and look luxurious on the inside, outside isn't anyting to brag about though but that doesn't really matter does it. The staff were very friendly and even let me go next door to the same owner-owned Quality Inn to use their business center to print out King's Dominion tickets. My girlfirend and I loved this motel, and to be honest there hasn't been a Red Roof Inn that I've stayed in that I wasn't impressed with.
