We love to go there for the comps on the slot machines. Win more on these machines seemingly than we do on other casino machines. Hospitality good and food in cafeteria is really good. Love the carrot cake and brownies. Great vegetable selection usually, too. 

Casino offers great comps

Was happy to discover this is an "Adults Only" Resort. Many of the rooms are being remodeled. Staff was friendly, prompt and professional. We stayed in one of the new rooms and it was clean and fresh. There is evidence that these folks are really trying hard for your business, We felt like they "wanted" us there. We will be back!

Much Improved

My wife and I arrived Sun April 24th and departed Wed April 27th. The Desk Clerk who checked us in (MARY) and the Mgr. who was overseeing everything (SYREETA) was very friendly and helpful, there should be more people like both of them in this world. You guys are terrific., Keep up the Great work. 

Our room #956 was as clean as my wife would have done, but acceptable. The crooked fridge in the room was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. Being on the 9th floor it took about 10 minutes running the shower to get hot water.
Disappointed that no bottles of water in the room.

Now the food places--the pizza place not that good, and you can only order the size of a bar pie, no slices.  The Burger Place, food ok, but the workers acted that they were so confused--in fact I ordered a Caesar Salad and waited 20 minutes, I then asked the person where my salad is, they said oops, we forgot to make it -then it only took about another 5 minutes--By the way you now have to order the pizza food and the burger food through the burger place. -- Dunkin Donuts was like any other Dunkin except be prepared to pay double the price--Example my wife just ordered 2 donuts and the cost was $4.00 UNREAL.

The bartenders 'were very fast and friendly --they made drinks I never heard of--lol

The dealers were friendly, but all tables and equipment is from the past and not current like Horseshoe or Goldstrike,------My wife likes poker slots but there were only at the bar and I think 6 others around the side of the bar---They need more Poker Slots----

-Well at the end, my wife and I both lost only about 100 each, due to her hitting good on the poker slots and me at the tables-----So bottom line it was a Very Pleasant 3 Night Stay and we will be back.

Pleasant Stay

We all had a great time an won some...the rooms are a place to crash an thats fine by me..i didn't like having to get off my game to get a drink though I paid the bar tender 15 if he would bring me drinks he did once I go there to drink an play so thats my only complaint is not enough servers..so we would go to the room to slam a few going again this Monday an Tue hope to gets drinks this time...here I come tunica..see you Monday morning..

Paid nice

Hotel should be closed down rooms were NO WAY  what advertising on line, nor the same price. Just nasty. We bood room with hot tub, they do not have any rooms after remodel with one. Got xharged twice for room. PoopCasino made up for it, slots were hot. Several food selections. Is only reason got 3 stars.
Would not stay here again. Nor recommend it.

Bull doze down

I am a Mississippian so I hate to leave a review that looks bad on a Mississippi business esp in an area that needs all the economic resources it can get. However this isn't a good place to stay if you want a nice trip. Just being honest. It smells. The workers(except the guy at check in and one of the ladies at the register at the buffet) are so unbothered and lack basic customer service skills I didn't even wanna spend my money at the burger place but I was hungry and the buffet looked so unkept and very non appetizing I had no other option. The buffet: I was so disappointed because who doesn't love a good ass casino buffet and I've never been here so I was excited to really eat good. Stations were dirty. The ends of serving utensils laying in food was so unhygienic. The salad bar was sparce and looked neglected. Whole place is just depressing and I can't believe ppl regularly come here. I can't think of any reason I'd ever come back here.

Very undesirable for the most part

We hadn't stayed at the Fitz in about 5 years, so it seemed like a good time to go back.   We were offered a free night, so we took advantage of that and even stayed a second night.  It is a hotel that could use some renovations, to be sure, but anyone that has ever stayed in Vegas knows that there are plenty of hotels out there that are in the same situation (and in many cases, much worse!).   There was no wait at check-in, and all of the employees throughout this casino were super friendly.   We were also given several dollars of free play at the casino, as well as food credits for either their sundry shop and/or buffet.  The room, again, could have used some renovations, but it was clean and the king bed was comfortable.  No noise from the hallway, and we were right across from the elevators.  

If you're looking for a luxury 5-star hotel experience, you won't find it anywhere in Tunica.   But if you're looking for clean and comfortable accommodations at a very affordable price....consider the Fitz.  We would stay here again.

Fun Stay...Lots of Freebies!

This is most low scale hotel in the state of MS. The front desk agent was wearing a beanie that said “Thug Life” on it and then the housekeepers play loud music and yelling at each other outside in the hallway while they are cleaning. Definitely felt for my safety here. I love their games selection though in the casino.

Unprofessional Front Desk Staff at Hotel

the Buffet Chicken and Spare ribs were cold hard and tasteless, they had to be left overs from Friday night.. Not worth the Money . What has happened to the Old Fitz .The Hotel and casino were in the best shape ever. No Coffee machine in the room not even a Toilet paper holder or Clock
They cut off our promo Comp's 3 days earlier. With out even

The person at the front desk and the casino host where hot very friendly and spoke down to me..
never saw a small Craps table like they now have. hardly any table games and thier stuck way in the back.. But they had a lots of Slot machines.

If you a table player 'Craps" stay away  and find a new place to play. 
We were going to stay 2 nights for yhe $th of july but NO Fare Works

What happened to the GOOD OLD FITZ ??

I am surprised this place gets any good reviews.  I think the only ones that stay now have comps to pay for their room.  I have been going for 15 years and it is the worse I have ever seen it.  Poor service, poor buffet food, smells.   Last time I went in June, I couldn't get a milkshake because the new Baskin Robbins didn't have any milk.  Really? You couldn't go to a local store for milk?  The staff looked at you like Ugh, duh, ahh ok.   I have found the new Mint in Ky and won't be going back.
