Incredibly poor.
Booked this room in advance due to location, price and reviews.

On arrival there was no one there, door locked and a number on the desk to say someone would be back in 30 minutes.

We had just driven over 200 miles driving along the blue ridge parkway and freeway to arrive to this message at around 17:30 hours. 

Called the number and the voice on the other end told us it would be another 20 to 30 minutes before he could get there. 

We walked outside and another couple sitting in their car approached us and told us the same person had told them over the phone he would be 15 minutes and the had been waiting over 20 minutes.

Shockingly poor way to run a motel or hotel. 
I got a call around half hour later as I was booking into another hotel, which ironically was cheaper and there was a staff member present.

You’re taking a chance with this one. Your choice..
I’d never book it again.

Awful service, actually no service at all.

Awful. Door locked on arrival no staff around. RUBBISH.

Once upon a time this was a nice place taken care by the right people but today it’s run down and falling apart with black mildew behind the bathtub,curtains falling apart,sticky desk tops and last but not least a rather unfriendly management even debating the issue of a proper receipt for payment 

Run down old property with a nice view

Had one issue with a room quickly and easily got switched to a new one with out hassle rooms were comfy clean and quiet, owners and other guests were friendly and very helpful, the beds Ana pillows were very soft

Family trip

Spent one night, clean room, comfy bed, AC worked. Mom and pop place, not the Ritz, The one down side was the shower was really poor. Please understand this is a dated room, in an older building , don't compare it to a Hampton inn.

Not happy. We were going out to dinner and while l was waiting on my wife to get ready, l sprayed colougne on and waited. Then the guy cam to fix the tv picture. Our remote was broke. Then l get told they need to rin my card again due to a crash of their system. Upon providing my card again l got a lecutre about not having ANYTHING in rhe room thet smelled.We were NOT SMOKING OR VAPING IN OR NEAR ROOM! And since when getting ready to go out a chargeable rule breaking? We just used body spray!! There was NOTHING ON ANY of the paperwork except for smoking and vaping! If you stay and like to smell good stay elsewhere or get charged for smelling good. Not going to stay here again. We sjould have just went on to Galex, Va.


No smels allowed!

Just don't! We stayed 2x in the last month neither time was our room ready! Worse is that if you wear perfume or cologne and they smell it in your room they threatened us with a $50 surcharge yet ZERO signage warning about it! No signed paperwork agreement to it either!  Hotel is dated as are rooms. Staff was rude! Should have read reviews b4 staying!! Beware!

Very bad place to stay. Took three pics for your viewing. Don't know what that stain on the box-spring was nor do I care to know at this point. Gross! Room was cold, dirty, holes in the wall and baseboards.

Hindsight is better than forsight. Had I known beforehand I would not have stayed but I had been driving for 11 hrs

A clean and comfortable place to stop on the way home from Florida.  The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and comfy. 
It's an older Mom and Pop type of motel and was really affordable. We just needed a clean, quiet spot to sleep. There was a fridge and microwave too. A 2nd sink outside the bathroom came in handy getting ready to leave in the morning.  

A good choice for a comfortable rest

We stayed here during a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway.  It was a great place for an overnight stop.  The owner was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable  (and very quiet).  Bonus - you could sit on chairs outside the room and watch the high school football down the hill.  I wish there were more well-run non-chain places like this!

Good place to stop

Awful new owners stay away!!!!  Rude staff cancelled our reservations and refused to accommodate us after admitting the cancellation was their mistake. I have electronic proof of my reservations. This is not the family style place it once was appears that folks live here full time we pulled up to doors propped open and beer cans on the sidewalk. Honestly I’m kind of happy our reservations was accidentally canceled this place has gone down hill with the new owners.
