This 102 yr old home, now B&B, was the perfect experience. From meeting us at the car and carrying our bags in, to all the amenities, to the great menu choices for breakfast, the friendly tips on places to go, where to eat diner, it was wonderful.
The rooms were beautiful wood paneled luxury. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Within 10 minute walk to downtown. Quiet. Plenty of parking. Literally perched over the ocean. No A/C wasn’t a problem…the ever present ocean breeze was all that was needed . The sound of waves gently breaking below our room led to blissful sleep.
Highly recommend. Grab the largest room if available…includes a cozy nook for relaxing.

A perfect example of what a B&B should be

Fantastic find. We had room 1 with the great view of the ocean. The pictures do not do it justice. The room was large with a day bed for relaxing and a table and chairs by the window. We were able to leave the window open and listened to the waves hit the rocks below. Great location, close to downtown, if it wasn't so rainy, we would have walked around more. Great breakfast, eggs, pancakes, awesome bacon. Highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic find

Stayed in the Ocean View Suite #1 for three nights. Suite was very comfortable, and view from suite was fantastic. Wonderful breakfasts in the morning, I had an omelette made to order each day. A few minutes drive to Hilo downtown. Will stay again when we come back to Hilo.

Awesome bay view

Great B&B with made to order breakfast which saved us money.  Plenty of free bottled water. The hosts were very personable and had plenty of suggestions for things to do and recommendations for eating.  They were able to provide very helpful insights about the area.  There are many guide books and maps available for the guests.  Room had excellent view and provided us with several beautiful sunrises.

Some of the best hosts we have had on our travels

Love love love this place! The owners made us feel at home. We arrived late but they still met us in the parking lot and gave us a tour of their lovely property. The room was perfect with a comfortable king bed. And the views of the ocean...are to die for. We slept with the windows open listening to the waves and frogs. Breakfast was made to order and was better than any restaurant. 

LOVE this B&B, must come again!

Such a great host! Amazing old house restored beautifully. We feel much better staying here Vs a big resort. Lots of parking, amazing breakfasts. They did our laundry better than we do our own laundry 😂. Rooms are great. Very unique. Comfy bed. Lots of extra amenities for your use like umbrellas, sun screen bug spray.

I wish there were more spots like this!

A very well-located and charming property. This 100-year-old house sits right on the Bay--I mean a couple of feet from the rock wall in the water. Easy walk to town and all the restaurants, etc. The staff, a married couple who live downstairs, were super attentive, friendly, and eager to give recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The owners themselves were standoffish and made us a bit uncomfortable--like what did we do to offend them?--but we really didn't have to interact with them much. The room was very comfortable, plenty of storage, comfortable bed, table and chairs, and fresh towels every day. Our room was waterfront, and we could literally see the sunrise just by lifting our heads a couple of inches off of the pillow in the morning, and the sound of the surf (and coquis) lulled us to sleep every night. They had maps, books, beach towels, snorkels, water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and various sundries available for guests, and we could use the fridge for leftovers, wine, etc. Nice breakfasts too! Highly recommend!

A very well-located and charming property

This very nice B&B is in a lovely and well-maintained  older home right on the water.  The staff were friendly and efficient.  Our room was very comfortable and if you like to listen to the waves at night, this is for you.  (You get frogs and chirping birds as well.)  Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits and a good choice of entrees.  My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.

Attractive, comfortable B&B right on the water

This was the best place that we stayed our entire trip.  I wish we would have stayed a few more nights.  From check in to check out it couldn't have been any better.  There were 3 of us and we all had our own room.  I slept with the windows open and I loved hearing the surf and the frogs (and other critters) during the night.  Breakfast was simple and delicious it consisted of eggs, bacon, fruit and juice.  I know some others had pancakes but I really liked the opportunity of having a simple breakfast.  Again, I can't tell you how much I really loved this place.

We loved this b&b!  All the rooms were beautifully decorated; great atmosphere.  Clean room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, made to order (fruit, and your choice of macadamia nut pancakes, eggs, French toast, bacon etc) with a view of the sunrise. Friendly and accommodating staff /innkeepers. I’d highly recommend this as a place to stay while exploring the east side of the big island.
