Spinnaker at Shipyard is located in a quiet area, yet still convenient to everything on the island.  The unit was spacious and well maintained, and we appreciated the convenience of having bikes available for use on the bike trails. All of the skylights and large windows allowed lots of natural light and view of the scenery.  We also enjoyed the deck on the back, overlooking the canal and golf course -- very peaceful. 

Our favorite stay

We've stayed in the unit several years ago, but unfortunately, it appeared to have had very few if any upgrades since then. We are accustomed to staying in properties where we can see our maintenance fees at work, so this unit was somewhat disappointing. This property still has "good bones" but it seems that there has been very little upkeep.

Was Probably Much Nicer in Its Glory Days...

The unit overall was in good condition, however, the living room furniture cushions were stained and would benefit from a good steam cleaning or replacement, perhaps doing this and airing the unit out, before guest arrive, will help eliminate the stale musty odor that greeted me when I opened the door.  Also, the mattresses in the bedrooms, particularly the master bedroom, were very uncomfortable and should be upgraded to newer non-spring or hybrid mattress systems.  Good unit, it just needs a few upgrades and deep cleaning to turn it into a great unit. 

Hilton Head in November 2023

Located 1 mile from ocean which was easily accessible by car or bike.  Clean, well landscaped property.  Also was one of the better located properties on the Island to utilize shops, restaurants. Amenities were great with NO Extra Charges.  In condo washer/dryer, 2 bicycles for use stored in an outside closet attached to each condo.  Bicycles were in excellent shape. Came with a lock.  Need to bring your own helmet.  Pickleball court with paddles and balls to check out.  Swimming pool and Hot tub, very clean. Nice deck over viewing lagoon and golf course.  All kinds of birds to view from deck that feed around the lake along with turtles an alligators which was an added delight. Beautiful inside condo with a huge Master bedroom and bath on top floor with a huge window viewing out at tree level.

Great Amenities with NO EXTRA CHARGES

We come to this resort every year. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. The location of this property is prefect for the beach, restaurants and to see the island highly recommended. Every year we come we find more things to do and more restaurants pop up. There is every kind of restaurants you want and all are very friendly. 

Beautiful Property

Spinnaker at Shipyards features big, clean units with terrific views of surrounding lagoons and wildlife. The resort is about 1.5km walk from the beach and only a couple of minutes drive from Shipyards Golf. There is a large pool, whirlpool, kids play structure, and pickleball courts on site. In February the pool was not heated but the whirlpool was operational.

Great spacious unit

We had to use our timeshare and wanted something close to drive to from Florida.  The unit was outstanding, the properties had wonderful amenities.  Unit was so spacious and very clean.  I think the appliances may need to be updated.  The overall experience was wonderful.  Weather didn't cooperate so we left a day early but in the summer,  this is the place to be.  Restaurants were outstanding.  We ate at Cranes and O'Reillys.  Shopping nearby.  All your needs are within 10 mile radius.   Saw a movie.  Needed inside activities due to the cold weather.  Was able to get in a mini round of golf at Legends, which I highly recommned to anyone on the island.  

Mini vacation

The property is great, the 2-bedroom town house was very spacious and comfortable.  Kitchen large and well equipped with all you need to cook. Very quiet area, close to the beach.  The only problem was with the office.  First the check in is not till 5 p.m. and the office is just closed till that time. They don't answer the phone, so you don't know when you will be able to check in.  The employees are totally lost and have no idea how to help guests.  They are rude and unprofessional. If you need to reach the office by phone from your unit, forget it, no one will answer you. I hope it will improve in the future. 

NEW YEAR AT HILTON HEAD

Check-in process was smooth and staff was friendly and cheerful.  Unit was as described and very clean.  Loved having a washer and dryer in the unit.  Kitchen was well stocked with all necessities.  Great stay!

Great Experience

The unit is located in a beautiful area. The grounds are gorgeous. The unit was a bit dated and worn-the shower and tub especially although it was very clean. I would recommend this resort but know that a couple of upgrades should be done in the near future.
Also-the front desk is very accomodating when asking for more supplies but know to bring your own coffee filters-basket type, they are not provided-usually they are at other RCI exchanges-just an FYI.
