Room was dated, musty smell, fairly clean. Nobody there for check in, took 45 minutes to get the room. Road noise is extremely loud. Coffee shop and breakfast closed in the morning. Thought it was part of the stay. Nobody there for check out either. Off season but geez!!

Fishing Trip

Charming place right on Squam Lake. Every unit has a screened porch overlooking the water. The kids loved that there are kayaks and paddle boards that they loan out. A bonus is that they have a little store for snacks and charcoal, burgers,hot dogs, etc. so you don’t need to leave!

Perfect vacation spot

The wife and I are booking another trip here right now. We went last year at the end of the summer and stayed in one of the small cabins right on the lakeside. It was a great weekend we had the boat tied up on the dock right oitside our porch.  The cabin was very rustic inside which tje stay very cozy giving it that old lake feeling from being a kid. We cant wait to go this summer

Great rustic lakehouse cabin

We stayed at Boulders Motel for one night & found the location, peaceful & serene. The screened in porch overlooking the lake was comfortable but the chairs & toilet were quite low to the ground. Our king bed was firm & the linens, crisp/clean. Furnishings were older & tired (bathroom sink reminded me of my grandparents sink in the 60's). But the best part of our experience at Boulders was definitely the staff. They were friendly & helpful & gave great dinner advice (Walter's Basin right down the street).

"On Golden Pond"..

Not modern, but had everything I needed.  It was clean, and the beds were very comfortable.  The staff was very accommodating, and made sure we were comfortable.  The lake is pristine.  Just a few miles from town.  I would totally stop there again.

I actually didn't get to stay here overnight; I came for a one night stay early in their season, and due to some issues with the heat and television/internet service I had to check out after a few hours; however, management cheerfully refunded my money, and both issues appeared beyond their immediate control. I would love to come back during the warmer months! See the attached photos of the spotless room with a screened in porch overlooking the lake. This appears to be the only true lakefront lodging in the area (others are across the road). Rooms are a great value, and as long as you are not expecting luxury, come and soak it all in.

On our way to center harbor hub and i stopped to check if the Boulders had made any improvements. WELL,YES THEY HAVE! Nancy has done a fabulous job upgrading the rooms.We were having such a nice time in NH. we called Nancy and although a BBC.film crew would be taking over the whole hotel,she found us a room for two days.Beautiful area,not the Taj-mahal but Very clean and fresh.Almost like camping with-out the work,Beach,BB-Q,Porch,comfy beds and very good continental breakfast and private porch.

Checked in Wednesday 5th left on the 6th.  Friday was birthday was checking out on 8th room was disgusting someone's old sock under bed cheerios under bed not very clean and the manager was supposed to put in ac unit while we went to breakfast came back nothing was done just excuses and dodging the problem. So we where forced to end my birthday weekend ruin. Never again don't let all the good reviews fool you old and out dated and dirty

Birthday get away

Wonderful long weekend on Squam Lake.  Boulders hotel is a wonderful hotel that offers
the true Squam Lake  experience.  The cabins and rooms are well equipped with everything you need.  There is a beautiful sandy beach and it is close to all the area's attractions.  The staff treat you like family.  I can't wait to go back!

True Squam Lake Experience!

Great welcome and hospitality. The rooms are NH lake cottage style: this is not the Marriott! And you don't want it to be. They are perfectly good rooms, nice screened porch. There is a steep stairway to the beach any reasonable person and kids can handle it but maybe not granny. You can swim, kayak, paddleboard, etc. There is a raft. The lake is nice. Very NH. You might have trouble walking anywhere for food, busy road out front, but quiet and peaceful down at beach you can have a fire at night. We enjoyed our stay.
