I am very impressed with this hotel! I have no complaints, so I'll just list the pros.

- Very clean room
- Excellent mattress with comfortable pillows and blankets. I slept so good
- Updated bathroom, nice shower/tub combo
- Microwave/ mini fridge
- Across the street from a nice lake
- Beautiful and kind staff
- Lots of tv channels

My brother and I stopped in this town by chance on a roadtrip to Maine, and we had an excellent visit. Really cool, old-fashioned town with a friendly vibe and lots to see and do. Try the Indian restaurant while you're here if you want to spoil your taste buds. You won't find a better deal on a hotel in Western Mass.



Great room & great rate!

We rented the Riverview Suite. It was perfect for our family of 5. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It's an older property but recently remodeled and very well maintained. We will stay here every time we are heading to Boston!! Love it!

Great Accomodations

Was Leary when I drove up to it, but was pleasantly surprised by the room.  It was very clean, had a comfortable bed, great tub and shower, nicely appointed for an inexpensive place.  It was 

 bargain at the price.

Nice surprise

Very affordable hotel. Most of the fixtures seemed fairly new. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Location was quiet and we weren't disturbed by other guests. Lobby sign said WIFI was malfunctioning, but I was able to access the Internet. Good size refrigerator, but the freezer didn't handle many freeze packs. Able to park at door.

Small outfit, but nicely accommodated.

First you can not argue with the price. We were in the area for a wedding and knew we would be spending limited time at the motel, so no reason to spend on a more luxe place. The rooms were surprisingly large and well-appointed. Bed was very comfortable and it was relatively quiet. The CT River is just across Rt 5 and there are picnic tables situated so you could see the river.  We found the room clean. 

We knew there was no breakfast included, but there was also no coffee. No coffeemaker in the room, and the lobby (which did seem to have a coffeemaker) was closed and locked in the morning. There is no nearby place to get coffee. There  was also no hairdryer. 



Pros and Cons

Stayed 6 days while house was being finished. I swear someone was killed in that room. Bullet holes in certain. Owner barged in room when pipe broke inder us thinking we overflowed tub. We did not. Just bad pipes. Was told only 1 roll of toilet paper per day for four of us. Worst worst ever. They should be shut down.

Stay away

Where to start?...dirty, falling apart, no ice, cable not working in the morning, thin walls, dirty bedspread, odd smell, wrong time on clock, unregulatable heating/cooling, postage stamp sized towels, half empty shampoo...and that's just on first impression. 

You get what you pay for

We stayed 10/4-10/7 for a wedding.  We booked it months in advance given the fall season was up Holyoke and beautiful, room 102 was not.  Upon entering the room, it stank of smoke.  The 2 rooms next door were smoking rooms.  We had suits for the wedding, however, the place too hang clothes was coming off the wall and the wallpaper was peeling away.  The bathroom was another issue. The door would not close and to the right of the door next to the tub/shower enclosure on the wall was mold!  The bathroom was a nice big size, only selling feature.  The table at the front window was nice, however, we had no screen and so a piece of electrical PVC pipe was placed in the channel to prevent anyone from gaining access.  Charming.  Upon the second day, thank god we were leaving the next, we found a hypodermic needle in the right bedside drawer.  The day were left, I found the manager cleaning the room next door and presented him with the needle. He said "sorry" and nothing else.  We would have cancelled and changed locations, but there was a 48 hour policy and many of the hotels were booked full. Lastly, the advertised free Wifi was down the entire stay.
