What an adorable motel.  While pulling up you could see at once it was bright, cheerful, inviting, and was decorated with hanging baskets of flowers.  The room was comfortable and it and the bathroom were extremely clean.   It is obvious the owner truly cares for this property.  Picked the perfect place to stay.

Nice little place to stay. We were mostly only there to sleep, but the room was definitely sufficient and the staff very friendly. The place is showing it's age a little, so don't go in expecting a shiny, corporate hotel - but it was clean and everything worked so we were happy. The after-hours check-in was easy enough to figure out and very convenient. Location is also great for getting to most area attractions. Highly recommend.

Cute and Convenient

Planned to check in after hours and received a text with welcome message and clear, easy instructions on how to access key. Room was spotless and smelled fresh. Love all the charging options (lots of plugs and USB ports). And I can’t help but think highly of a business that uses Ticonderoga #2 pencils. Always a plus.

Clean and comfy

We arrived before 3pm and our room was ready. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean we would definitely return to this cute place. It was centrally located to all our vacation spots.

This is a gem, with a fantastic convenient location and a relaxed vibe. A family-run place with friendly staff, just a quick drive from all the area has to offer. The rooms are quiet and the beds were super comfy. I got the best sleep every night! I would definitely stay here again.

Gem of a Place to Stay!

Decided at midnight that I was going to surprise my kids and bring them to Sleeping Bear Dunes in the morning. Got online; not very many hotel options available so last-minute on a holiday weekend (Memorial). Stumbled upon the Honor Motel in my search, read the good reviews, and decided to go for it! This was my first time ever staying in a motel, and it was a great experience! I was only looking for a decent place to lay our heads at night, as we would be out exploring all day. This was exactly what I was looking for.  The location and price of the Honor Motel are both really great, and it was super clean!  My daughter inspected even the window sills and said, “mom, this place is better than regular hotels!” The woman at the front desk was very nice, and to my surprise, someone cleaned the room while we were out! There was a small fridge and a microwave in the room too, which came in handy. My kids are both under 12, for your reference, and both said they want to go back and stay here again :)

Don’t pass up the Honor Motel!

Wonderful motel that met our every need.  Comfortable, super clean, more water pressure than my shower at home.  We enjoyed our stay and would most definitely recommend this place to others.  I walked barefoot on the grass near our room by the blooming iris the evening of our stay.   Great place!

This is the place to stay

Nice stay. Friendly staff. Only negative is for $210 a night , the bed is on small size for a couple and I don’t think any ice available onsite or breakfast. I guess this rate is normal for the area but just seems high for what you get. Jomos ice cream shop was nice.

We were looking for a place central to the beauty of Northwest Lower Michigan. This fit the bill! It is close to Frankfort, Empire, Interlochen, Beulah, Benzonia, St. Ambrose, Elberta, Sleeping Bear Dunes, The Cherry Hut, The Cherry Bowl and more! 

The rooms are recently updated and very clean. New flooring, bathroom fixtures and paint provide a refreshing vacation space. Each room has an outdoor table and chairs for evening relaxation or morning coffee. The owner is super nice and highly accessible for any needs. 

Many restaurants nearby, plus a quiet area for walks and restful sleep.

We stayed two nights during a recent visit to Sleeping Bear Dunes NL. Check in was very easy and the lady was very friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to park in front of our room. Our room had two beds that were comfortable. There was a desk area, mini fridge and a small microwave. Also there was a small closet area. The bathroom had a shower and a small pedestal sink. The office is only open limited hours and someone is available by phone after hours. There is ice available in the office. Check out we just used the key drop since we left before the office opened. The area was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed our stay and I would stay here again if I was in the area.
