WONDERFUL place to stay! The staff is very kind and friendly. :) The rooms are very clean comfortable. It is a very good motel setting and a very affordable price! WIFI is fast and free. TV was great and the beds are comfortable. The outside appearance gives a charming and welcoming feeling. I liked the benches outside of each room. There are plenty of places to eat and shop locally within a few minutes. We only stayed one night, but this would be a great place to stay for a week and enjoy all of the activities at the nearby Mammoth Cave. The manager was actually from our own small hometown in central Illinois! That was a pleasant surprise.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!

Stayed three nights.  Had no problems.  Good price.  Clean.  I would definately stay here again if I needed a room in the area.  I would have given it a five rating except the ice machine wasn't working when we stayed there.  The refrigerator in the room was working great so we had a place to keep food and drinks.

The bed bugs was running wild . Manager was knocking on our door at 10:30 at night, waking us up very weird asking about 2 dogs that hang there every night according to weekly renter. Lots of ladies s of the night staying in rooms. We left after manger came to room because we found bed bugs. I went to office and said room had bed bugs ,he said I know.  Called on way to new hotel ,said they’d give me half my money back. Just got credit card bill they refunded half . I’ll be fighting that. I’am glad I only take overnight bag in hotel and keep trash bags in car.

Owners were very kind to us.  Our room was neat and clean.  We appreciated that they kept the original knotty pine paneling and bathroom tile.

When we reported that our bath sink faucet was leaking, the owner said he would take care of it while we were out during the day.  We came back that night to a newly installed faucet!

We appreciated his effort and I'm sure he will appreciated the savings on his water bill!

Cared For

My husband and I stay the last week of August 2023 and I must say, for a mom and pop hotel this was a gem. The manager and family were very nice and accommodating. The only trouble we had the two days we were there was the Wi-Fi was not working upon arrival and I was trying to find a place to eat (we have never stayed in this area before). But they were on top of the issue and had it up and going in 10 mins. We have the same ISP as the hotel so we knew it was a service provider issue due to the fact ours was not working the best when we left home. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. We will be staying here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is a gem

Had our fill of big and fancy and always look for quaint and local. 50's style but you could tell how hard the owners were working to update it. Everything we needed,  refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen, air conditioner, cable and wifi. Friendly owners and fun setting on the porch talking to fellow travelers. Clean, clean, clean and very reasonably-priced!  Thank you!

Just passing through but stayed 2 nights!

The motel is ran by wonderful people, who are super sweet, and really nice to talk to. 
 The rooms are well taken care of, and cleaned really well. I would recommend this to anyone that is wanting to get away from their home, and look at Mammoth Cave National Park.

great place to call home for the moment.

This is a lovely little motel that is close to Mammoth Cave National Park. It is clearly on older motel, but it is also very apparent that the owners put a lot of work into making this place nice. It's pretty bare bones inside the room, but everything is clean and in working order. The owner is very courteous and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. 
I'd definitely recommend this motel to anyone wanting to check out the caves but also wanting to save money. Really great price on the room, and they don't sacrifice cleanliness at all.

Lovely little motel, well maintained by nice owners

I'd really like to give a good review, because the people running this place were so nice, and tried to accommodate people's needs, but there's only so much they can do with this run-down motel. The room was mostly clean, but the tub/shower has been painted and is slowly peeling away.  The beds have some kind of metal under them probably to prevent things from getting underneath, but whenever you approach the bed, you kick it, and it sounds like someone has just struck a Chinese gong in your room.  There is also very little soundproofing, so road noise and sounds from nearby rooms is significant.  One other positive--the room was very cheap--you get what you pay for.

Clean friendly owners.close to attractions would recommend this to anyone pet friendly no bugs quiet not far from places so you can walk and explore and see attractions and caves my whole family loved this place
