Clean rooms (even the carpet)- A/C works good- plenty hot water- quiet (no loud guest)- safe area in Houston- free parking- convenience store / Restaurant(s) /Bars all within walking distance. Very close to Washington Street with numerous great Restaurants and night life. And affordable.

Great Area in Houston

This hotel is in a convenient location and is a no frills place to lay your head.  The office staff is friendly and accommodating.  The rooms need a thorough cleaning with dirty walls, light switches etc.  If the place was cleaner it would get a top rating from me.

Great location

My husband and myself and 2 small kids stay location was great we walked over to memorial park perfect for families location is great a gas station across the way a mc donalds and a pub in walking distance  on the bus line. OUR room was clean and everything was in excellent order and to be expected. Staff was attentive and courtesy we will definitely be back when we are back in houston. Thank you all so much

Lovely stay, spot on price

I stayed here on my arrival in Texas and before I left. Its about 25 minutes drive from the airport and 15 from city centre. Staff are very friendly and there is good parking. I asked for a room on the second level and it was quite. Rooms are spacious with TV, fridge, microwave, bathroom and good WIFI. There are a couple of restaurants and bars in walking distance and also a very nice park.

Good place to start a road trip of Texas

We were able to secure world series tickets at the last minute and needed  place to stay.  Unfortunately, other hotels were employing "dynamic pricing" (gauging other words) and the Scottish Inn hotel gave us a reasonable price and good service.  The hotel was clean and quiet. Outstanding place to stay

World Series savior

My friend and I stayed here for a business meeting near by. 
When we arrived a group of people were standing around the parking lot talking loudly and we were already cautious.
The man at the desk was nice, I must say. 
In the room, it reminded me of a motel instead of a hotel. And then I saw the reason that I said, 'Never again,' on the floor. (See attached photo)
It was a condom rapper!!!!!!!! At least it wasn't the condom, so that's one thing.
Really?!? How could housekeeping miss that?

Next, there was a dead roach in the tub and when my friend turned down her sheets, they clearly had not been replaced after the last visitor. We were so tired that she just put towels on top of it and we went to bed.

It was quiet once that group outside left and we slept okay.

It was in a questionable part of town....good on one side, but the other, ???? not sure.

Within walking distance, was a nice bar where we got a drink from friendly staff.

If I were desperate to find a room, maybe, but not any other way. 

Oh, and the Wifi did NOT work!

I stayed here for three nights for a work trip during Super Bowl weekend, and was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations.  The price was right, the room was clean, the location was good and the staff was extremely accommodating (they even let me come to the front desk to print out some materials I needed for work).  If you're on a budget and looking for a well-priced motel, you won't be disappointed!
